Orks have mutants. AND daemons.

Sort of... rolleyes

Mork save the daemon that tries to possess an Ork, though. Forever trapped in a mind stronger than it.

Funny how that works out, huh?

Anyway, sorry to change the subject of Chaos is better, no they aren't, but I've been thinking about starting up a Soul Drinkers army. my only problem is that I do not know if I should use Chaos Marines or normal Space Marines for the rules.

I love Chaos because I like how crazy their fluff is. They range from evil megalomaniacs to just psychotic killers and what not. The only thing I hate about Chaos is the damned top knot. I'm not using any of those heads for my Word Bearers. stressed

By the way, anyone hear of the changes in the upcoming Chaos 'dex?

I would disagree that renegade Chapters go better as CSMs, but the Soul Drinkers are unique in their level of mutation, which can really only be accurately portrayed with ... well, mutations.

My belief that CSM rules go better with renegade Chapters is simply because that all the rules and such for SMs represent their loyalty and such to the Emperor. Such as, the rule "ATSHNF" is there because it represents the Marine's unswerving loyalty to the Emperor no matter what the costs, right? A Renegade Marine could go renegade for many things, but one thing is for sure, that Marine won't be bringing his loyalty to the Emperor with him when he goes to wherever he goes. He isn't going to be dying for anyone when he could simply run away at a convenient moment.

At that point, thats where I feel that CSM rules better fit. As for mutations, many mutations don't fly well with the BIG Chaos Legions also. Mutations were the cause for the Rubric of Ahriman, and the Iron Warriors hate mutations enough where they cut off mutated limbs and such and replace with cybernetics. So on that, I don't think mutations should be such a big factor for CSM rules vs. SM rules, simply because other Legions hate them too.

The Soul Drinkers are an interesting chapter. They are 100% faithful to the Emperor (Well, now anyway) but are not loyal to the Imperium. The do believe that the Emperor is the savior of mankind and all that. They are a really cool chapter... I can't wait to get this project started.

Saw those on Warseer. Dispite the changes rumored in the upcoming Chaos Codex, I am VERY happy about these...my Word Bearers will finally look very Chaos-y out of the box.

I had it from a Blueshirt in Manchester that there's gonna be Codex Chaos this year, and then Codex Daemons the next year after that. Not sure what'll be of daemons inbetween though.

Also, he mentioned something about a plastic vindicator for Chaos...I think. I had lost interestet by this point.

Chaos is getting the Chaos Space marine codex first with those tasty models, then Codexs fo Legions/LatD and Daemons is rumoured but not confirmed.

Seeing the new raptor Lord I know have the inspiration for my Night Lord Raptor cult so my current army will have to take second place on the shelf.
My army at the moment is 2nd post on this link

Some of the rumoured changes for the codex such as no God books and no Legions worries me also raptors without hit and run scares me. But the models have made me want to stay chaos no matter what.

Blueshirt said he's not allowed to look inside the Codex Daemons, but he has seen the cover on a desk, probably a test run.

Hey say if it was a minidex? as it sounds like it might be possible to field it as a legal force by itself
