MiyokoxClarinetti Chocovash3 MiyokoxClarinetti raining-sin xd i had to break four new reeds in tonight...... my lips are like... "OOOOWWWW" xp have you heard of Bands of America? rofl I break in one reed a day smile . But yes it hurts like hell, DX the resistance on new reeds make my head spin!!! [size 4 has alottt of resistance DX]
is it that one competition in florida where all the bands from america go to? =D my band won it two years ago!!!! They played Fate of the Gods by Steven reineke, MY GOD! ONE OF THE COOLEST SONGS EVERR!! :] our middle school pwned all teh other skewls...except our own percussion ens...and that random japanese band......
crying
but yes I think I've heard of it..
I'm listening to Steven Reineke's Goddess of fire [we were gonna play it in wind ens this year, SO MUCH COOLER THEN THE OTHER MUSIC!!] I really wanna play it.....Meh... I played fate of the gods in college badn.. but it wasn't anything special *shrug* Lol, wait til you try my 5's, Miyoko ;P You don't even KNOW what resistance is til then xD psh DX the music we're playing right now is utterly BLEGH!! I'm sick of it...its not that fun to play rolleyes but we're going to cal state ful...me is excited.. biggrin first middle school to set foot there in the meng hall BUHAHAHA! question, why would I try YOUR size 5 reeds? -0- XP apparently holy water works on reeds when you break it in or maybe it was because I softened the reed? either way...its like woah O_o the reed I have, its been broken in...my mozart kimmy almost chipped it today...its chip free!! [I'll smack myself if it gets chipped tomorrow] it hurts to break in reeds...iono why O_O WRITING THIS LETTER OF INTENT IS HARDDD! [for the performing arts academy] mr. a said I don't have to write it like everyone else, "write what you feel, like you're writing a letter with an interpretation of music to me smile " that made it easier, I don't want to rattle on sounding bland, boring, report like, "the academy can help me, I can help the academy, i want to help the academy" pshh =0=;. I don't need to do that because mr. a talked about me to the vice principal..O_o; scary...But, he showed him my interpretation of sanctuary when they decided to start the academy... so I was like o_O;;;; AGH! MUST FINISH LETTER! i have to get up at 4 ish tomorrow @_@ I don't think you're the first middle school band to play in Meng... cuz when I was there last year (btw, that was the last time I saw my last gf when we were still together crying ) I remember hearing or seeing a junior high or middle school band, dont remember though. I think it was a feeder school for diamond bar maybe. Anyways, enjoy the auditorium, its really great once you adjust to the orangeness of the room, lol. Also, people can sit above or behind you in the audience. The sound is great, but you can hear every single instrument from any part of the room, so just ONE squeak and everyone will know who did it wink When we performed there, the recording they gave us individualised the instruments too much, so it was difficult to create a central sound persay. Who knows, I might just show up tomorrow, since that means Loara is performing and my ex's band and I can maybe meet up with Dr. Finnel

I've been playing clarinet for about three years. I play for marching and symphonic band. i love playing clarinet. i started out on oboe, but that turned to crap... long story short, the corks fell off.
Story: I had to put down my clarinet for the closer in the marching show this year (Moriarty High, Nightmare Before Christmas) to do a move. well, i picked up my clarinet to start playing and i literrally ate grass. it was so gross. i made sure i was paying attention when i put down my clarinet.
what's it like playing on reeds bigger than 3 and 1/2? that's the only size i play on, pretty much. has anyone been to TOB? it was fun when i went.

Riku_Cloud224 A trumpet player, a trombone player and a flute player all play my clarinet... Who made a note? Guess. I'm guessing the trumpet player. Today during lunch, I plugged my iPod into the choir teacher's computer and we all started breakdancing to Sing, Sing, Sing. blaugh (Don't ask why my group was in the choir room...>_>) The cool thing is that Mr. G doesn't care as long as we don't turn the music up so loud the hall Gestapo hears us and come to investigate. 3nodding

That reminds me, I haven't greased my corks in a while. *shuffles off to find her cork grease* Mock contest went well...the clinician was kinda strange (some guy from Arizona...I forgot his name, but it started with a W and it was German...) but kinda cool too, but he didn't really do much. He just made us work on blending our sound for the clinic hour and that was it. >_> He got on Fearless Leader's case with our song selection, though...(Peacemaker and Fortress) W: Are you going to add any songs? FL: No. W: Do you realize you're playing two marches? FL: Yes. W: Why? FL: Because I like marches, this band needs to work on marches, and Fortress fits this band. stare (Today during band he added that he thought, "And you'll just have to deal with it. razz ")

Actually, it was the trombone... She was the best player of them all! The flutist made some noise, but came out squeeky alot... The trumpet, didn't make a noise at all. He was unskilled.
