Aysun remained frowning, stubbornly refusing to smile, and buried his face in Nikolai's shoulder.
Devyn smiled up at Leon, nodding at him before bounding over to the two boys near the car. "Hi, I'm Devyn!" she introduced.
Reggie smiled when his eyes met Ray's, then looked over at the redhead that moved to them. He hesitated, his eyes going to her black horns then to her floating legs. He pursed his lips then attempted a smile. "I'm Reggie," he replied.

Aysun's head shot up when he heard Ray blatantly call him unwanted. "My mommy and daddy want me!" he argued, unsure of whether to be angry or upset, but the tears rolled down his cheeks anyway. "They love me! They just couldn't take care of me and all my brothers and sisters right now, so I have to stay with Uncle Leon for a while!" Anger finally took over and he angrily buried his face back into Nikolai's shoulder, refusing to talk to his "brother". The Sin gently rubbed Aysun's back before glancing at Leon, silently asking him what to do.
Reggie, however, was used to Ray's attitude, and knew exactly what to do. He wandered to his friend and elbowed him in the stomach. "You can't go saying people like us aren't wanted, Ray. Everyone at the orphanage was still sensitive about it, and so is Aysun," he hissed then motioned towards the boy in their dad's arms. "Look at him. He may be older than us, but he's also tinier, see? We'll be like the big brothers and look after him." Smiling at Ray, he then took a step closer, trying to find any break big enough for Aysun to see him. "My name's Reggie. Don't worry about Ray, he's getting used to having a family." Making sure Ray wouldn't be able to hear, Reggie got on his tip-toes and leaned in to whisper, "And sometimes he can be a real poo head." The comment didn't make Aysun laugh, but he did show more of his face to get a better look at the boy, making Reggie perk.
Nikolai watched the two form whatever bond they just did. This would certainly be an interesting dynamic between all the children. The Sin grinned then set Aysun on his feet and looked at Leon. "Why don't you prepare lunch, dearie? Devyn and I will set up their room, then I'll give Gustav-darling a call afterwards." Motioning for the demon girl to follow, Nikolai retreated into the house, all the luggage floating behind him.
Reggie pat Aysun on the shoulder. The older boy flinched, but didn't run away, which Reggie took as a good sign. He walked his brother over to Ray then looked back at the house. "He sure talks weird, huh?" he asked, mentioning Nikolai. "Dearie and darling. And his voice is kinda girly."

Reggie pursed his lips, hurt on his face from the scolding and already overwhelming drama. Nevertheless, he puffed his chest and moved over to Ray's side, crouching down in front of him to force him to make eye contact. "They're not gonna abandon us, Ray," he insisted. "They're nice. They picked us over everyone. Sister Gladys always said we wouldn't get adopted, and did you see the look on her face when Mr. Leon signed the adoption papers?" He scratched his cheek awkwardly and looked over to the side, where Leon stood. "I don't think they're gonna abandon us. If Aysun has another family, then he's only staying here for a little while, right? I bet that's why Mr. Leon and Mr. Nikolai took us in, 'cause they want kids of their own, y'know?" He turned back to Ray and gave him a wide grin. "Whatever happens, I don't care. Even if they do send us back to the orphanage or keep us here, we'll have each other, right?"

Aysun winced as his name was called out, anger flaring out inside him. Why was he in trouble?! Ray was the one being mean! His anger, however, was quickly quenched by fear. Uncle Leon had never been angry with him, not even when Uncle Nikki was being scary and crazy. Biting his lip and rubbing his arm, Aysun plodded over to his uncle, avoiding looking up at him.

Reggie shook his head. "I'm not gonna leave you, not even if they ask me to. I'll run away and find you, but I won't have to 'cause you're gonna be here with me."

Aysun quickly looked up when Leon told him to apologize, opening his mouth to argue only to already be cut off. He glared angrily at the ground, hot tears brimming his eyes. What childish pride he had refused to apologize. "He's just gonna call me a baby and tell me my mommy and daddy don't want me," he grumbled.

Reggie sighed through his nose and got to his feet. This wasn't going to work. He knew Ray didn't mean what he said, but it still hurt to hear it. Looking over to Leon, he wondered if they could help and began wandering over towards them.

But they were having troubles of their own. Aysun shook his head, eyes shut tight and fluids flowing from his face. "I don't wanna!" he cried. "He's mean and I don't like him!"

Meanwhile, Nikolai took a break from the unpacking (or more supervising Devyn as she made clothes fold themselves and get into their respective drawers) to look out the window. All three boys seemed to be having troubles of their own. The Sin couldn't help but snicker. Oh yes, what an absolute dream come true.

Nikolai raised an eyebrow. He couldn't tell what Leon was saying, but that serious expression was very attractive right now.

Aysun hesitated at the threat and looked at Leon to see if he was serious, then let out an angry groan and kicked the dirt in a burst of rage. It wasn't fair! Why was he being punished for what Ray did? How did he even hurt Ray's feelings? All he did was not talk to him!
"Mr. Leon," Reggie called out, unaware of what the two were talking about, but if he had to guess, the look on Aysun's face said he was acting like Ray. "Ray's angry at me and I don't know what to do. He's all scared that you're gonna wanna take us back to the orphanage," he said.

Reggie watched Aysun storm off before looking back up at Leon. He pursed his lips and rubbed his arm as he looked away, nervous about talking. "Umm, you're not gonna make us leave, are you?" he asked. "Ray can be mean, but I think that's because he's still upset about not having parents. He's really nice when you get to know him!"

Meanwhile, it took a lot of kicking at the dirt, but Aysun finally made his way to Ray. He stood there for a second, not looking at the kid while mentally bracing himself for another insult. When none came, he risked a glance at the boy. Pride boiled inside his chest, clamping his mouth shut and fueling him with anger, but he didn't want Uncle Leon to get mad at him again. Letting out a heavy sigh, he grumbled, "Sorry."

"They abandoned him," Reggie explained. "That's all I really know, though. Ray's pretty quiet about himself. Whenever he talks, he's always being mean. The weird thing is that he's mean to himself the most, always saying that nobody would ever want to adopt him."

Aysun furrowed his eyebrows. He apologized, so he was free to go. Part of him told him to leave, but he didn't want to give Ray the satisfaction of thinking he's right! "I'm trying to get along with you since we're gonna be living together!" he argued.
