No way. D'< You don't become bilingual from videogames. I play games in Japanese, and I learned nothing. Well, except for ばっちり and かんぺき (which both mean perfect, I think. I only learned the words that meant that I won. D<)

She's fluent in Italian and French, and English, and Norwegian, and she can speak basic Russian, and she's pretty good at Japanese, and she just got back from a semester in South Korea, so she's learning Korean, too. D< Europeans, I hate them and their multilingual culture.

Roleplaying came late for me D: It improved it, but it did not aid with it's conception D< When I was a kid my dad put on my Disney movies in English all 'She WILL learn English D<'

That's a good dad. D'< I think parents should force their kids to do more. Learn a language, play an instrument, join a sports team... One of my biggest regrets is that I sat on my a** for most of my childhood.

I'm alive, yes. Just been busy studying for classes, considering I NEED to pass my classes this semester with good grades, because I had a few minor setbacks last semester. ^^;
(( And I'm having particular trouble with one of my classes, though it's really because I can never get a good seat. Dammit! The prof. basically talks through the whole class, writing down absolutely nothing, while I'm stuck having to sit in the back where I can barely hear. Any ideas? Other than recording his class, 'cause he thinks that's a no-no. )= ))
But I haven't forgotten you! D'=
And I WILL be on tomorrow, I promise. But right now I need to study for this online quiz I have to take on monday.

@ Serend -- It was too late. D= I had dinner plans with my roommate. 9w9 We got katsu curry. So good~ x3 Then we watched Sherlock. =D Probably one of the most exciting Saturday nights I've had in a while. I party hard, you don't even know. ;D
@ Osaka -- Ahh, good luck with school! I totally understand how it is. D= The second semester is usually better than the first, though, so good luck!
As for the seat thing, I don't know what you could do, aside from just showing up earlier. o-o Or talk to him? I don't know, my university is tiny, so most classes only have about 20 people in them. So it seems natural to me that the professor could help you secure a seat up front, but I don't know how it works in large, lecture-style classes.

My English knowledge comes 80% from video games! In fact, 17 out of the 27 people in my Advance English Class in high school were all big gamers. I'll also point out that everyone in my year that were NOT in advance English can't hold a conversation in English at all.
However, they (we) were all playing RPGs which are heavy on dialogue and stuff, so I guess SOME form of games are better than the other.
My high school had english and Spanish as foreign language. Well, you have to take English from grade 3 till 10. Taking it in 11 and 12 is optional, but you need 11 to enter university. A 3rd language is optional too. You don't have to take it, but I still took Spanish for 3 years.
I can always READ (but not speak) Greek, Hebrew and Latin due to my university degree. It's required, since, you now, they're the old languages and half the texts we have to read are written in them.
