Lin shook her head, "I met him years later after he grown up. He decided to come to Haven to help. Dad was away on a hunt and I was still too young."

She was also pretty sure this was when she first met Pen... that had been interesting.

"But I got to meet Beren all grown up, and everyone who already knew your grandfather from his last life looked like they saw a ghost."

"I know," Earendil chuckled. "I saw the reactions of my father and uncles the first time Grandfather came to the Southland to visit. It was quite interesting, I have to say."

"I can well imagine," Fletcher smiled. "I know of your family."

Lin chuckled imagining all the things that Fletcher probably knew from Ulrich and just watching. She knew that elves had insane far, farsight. Honestly there was a lot about most other races that made humans look deaf, blind and boring.

"That was the wedding wasn't it? Lore and Elnara's wedding."

"Well, slightly before," Earendil laughed. "But essentially, yes. Since that was the reason they came."

"Poor Atalya must have just about fainted," Fletcher smiled, looking at the ceiling dreamily. "I almost wish I could have been there to see it."

Earendil blinked. "You know Ninako?"

Fletcher grinned. "You wouldn't believe how."

"You... have a story," Lin pointed at Fletcher.

She didn't know why but she grinned at the thought, she figured that Fletcher and Amara would quite old especially seeing as how old Ulani and Ulrich were.

"And really after all the other things that has been happening, I think it wouldn't be that hard to believe."

Fletcher chuckled. "Well, I do have a few stories," he winked at Lin. "After thirty five hundred years, I ought to."

"So you're close to Ulani and Ulrich's age?" Earendil questioned.

Fletcher nodded, then grinned. "So you want to hear how I met your great-grandmother?" he asked Earendil.

Earendil grinned and looked over at Lin. "I'm game."

Lin chuckled at that as she nodded, she glanced over at Earendil. It seemed Miyuki had decided to nap, probably all that crying and excitement made her tired now that she was comfy and warm.

"I'm interested," she admitted.

Earendil smiled and leaned back on the couch, crossing one ankle over his knee and shifting Miyuki so that she could lay down in his lap.

"Looks like it's story time," he grinned at Fletcher.

The light elf shifted to make himself more comfortable as well. "Well then. It goes back ... well, what, probably close to a hundred and fifty years by now. She was just a child then ... no, not even. Two, maybe three years old. Quite a talker back then ... she was traveling with her father, she was born while they were traveling and she spent the first ... what, six years of her life traveling?"

For some reason Lin was at ease knowing traveling with a child wasn't unusual. Though if she really thought about it, there was a whole culture of humans who did so, so it wasn't anything unusual.

Though she couldn't imagine traveling that much despite the fact she loved to.

Fletcher went on to tell how Atalya had gotten into just about everything, nearly fallen into the well, learned to swim, somehow lost her father's weapons ...

Trouble after trouble, by the time she and her father had left there were several things either broken or missing - though the missing things had eventually turned up.

And Lin thought Elberon was bad for getting into things. Who knew Atalya had a colorful (and in a really, really odd way normal) childhood.

"Very... curious as a child," Lin murmured with a giggle finally.

She wondered if Atalya ever missed it.

"Beyond that," Fletcher chuckled, "she had to get into everything. She was a trouble maker, that's for sure. Bright, but trouble. If there was something she could mess up, she did it. She changed once she was older, to be sure, and now she is someone to be well admired."

"You know," Earendil mused, "it's so rare that I get to hear stories like this. Growing up I've only ever seen the serious and formal side of her ..."

When you're surrounded by people watching you nearly all the time, Lin wasn't surprised by that assessment.

"It's surprising about what you hear about people you've known only as an adult," Lin murmured.

She knew that feeling a bit, some of the stories she had heard about her father while cute was down right... odd.

"Then again," Fletcher grinned, "there are some people that never change. Ulani and Ulrich for some ..."

They were still sometimes as childish as they had ever been.

Lin had to laugh at that, she had known the two for a long time, it didn't seem they had changed at all. Especially Ulrich who always did like to have fun at other people's expense.

"So they've always been like that?"
