"I don't want to either." Mit moved his hand, hugging her head, but he was so practiced in keeping a lid on his emotions, he didn't tear up. In his mind this was Violet's time to cry.

Violet's eyes spilled over and she sobbed, quietly.

Mit moved his eyes to look at Tora, only meeting the tiger's gaze for a moment before he looked away. He didn't feel like he had the strength of character to meet his eyes anymore. "I don't have many memories of my mother... But one thing I remember her telling me, after another boy pushed me into the mud while I was wearing the fancy clothes she'd given me... I came back from that, crying... She told me, sometimes over big things, it's okay to cry, in fact it's good. Man, boy, Woman, or girl, should have the strength to cry when they need to."

Tora was told a completely different thing, but he didn't correct Mit, "That would include you too..." He said instead.

Tora's wing felt like it was made out of lead. He managed to limp off the table, not wanting to lie down anymore. He sat next to Violet, trembling in his effort to stay upright.

Violet looked over to Tora. She turned a bit so she could put a hand on his head. "Thank you," she said, in between sobs.
