It's especially disappointing when that RP group was some real life friends. Some pretty serious things happened though, the rift between them is probably irreparable.

I have a few new ones to share~
First: People who demand you to play a certain type of character, and won't take a compromise at all. I had somebody who wanted to do a pokemon based roleplay where I'd play a gijinka. I wanted to play Absol, Umbreon, characters that I could imagine to the type of character that I had in mind. She wanted to play a super buff, macho guy that really I wasn't fond of but the plot was interesting enough to see past that. She wanted me to play a Teddieursa(I swear I spelled it wrong. That cute, teddy bear type one). I declined buy offered to play a shiny mew instead since I had wanted to play a character like that. Found a picture for the character that I could use and she was like. "Too girly. I can only think of a girl when I see mew." Now my character was more childish, curious and a bit mischievous but only looked girly because that was the ONLY picture I could find that somewhat matched my mental picture at the time. I said it to her and she never messaged back and added me to her ignore list I believe.
Second: Drunk idiots on the beach on New Years and Christmas Eve. It was only in front of our hotel and they were setting off fireworks. (The kind that are illegal where I live and look like the ones you see in pro firework shows but not as high.) Screaming and shouting like crazy until 3AM. Called front desk about the people on the balconies that were way too loud even after things should have calmed down. Every night we were there, people were loud, one person in a room near ours was beating on the heater unit thingy and we could hear it at 2AM... or well I could since we had a condo like thing. Either way we called front desk about it and nothing happened. The fridge in our room was a normal one and our milk, eggs, and a few other things froze. Called the front desk, and nobody came to fix it. Half our food had to be thrown away. Day we left I went to the front desk with my mom to complain and check out, and the manager was very rude. My mom had Bells Palsy and needed rest to recover, and she had hardly any because of the noise and other things. A normal hotel would have refunded some of the cost but the lady was like. "If we give you a refund, I have to give EVERYBODY who stayed here a refund." Short version, if you are in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, never stay at the Landmark hotel.

Luckily I live close enough to visit MB and come home in one day. But if you want to get to them then you'll have to go above the manager's head and submit a complaint to the higher ups.
The fridges I hate at hotels (worked at one) you have to turn them down sometimes because even at normal level they will freeze things over. It happened with some strawberries, they were as hard as rocks.
Anyhow there's a noise law even for such an occasion. They may have gotten plenty complaints about the noisy people but they should have handled it more professionally.

My peeve is when my computer was working perfectly fine at 1am. No problems or anything and the following morning it won't boot up. I know my baby is old but I take care of her. I'm hoping that some malware screwed me up or something. But I need to go to the Geek Squad to get a recovery CD or at least ask them for some advice so that I can fit the corrupted/missing file and recover my files *crosses fingers* Hope hope hope.
And it was way too cold and I was in a bad mood to go out today and see them right away.
Not to mention it's nice to have one day when I can tell everyone (who usually complains about me being online) that I can't do anything for them because I can't get on my computer, on my laptop now, which has all of my saved info and files.

When you are reading an old manga and people complain about how the art style is 'ugly'. Every single time I'm on an online reader and someone reads an older manga they always leave a thread like this in the forums.
"The story was good but the art was just too ugly, I couldn't finish reading it."
Or if it's a more mature one and they use an older style they still call it ugly.
I just love pointing out that the way people drew things 10 to maybe 30 years ago are different than now. Just look at the 'golden age' of comics. Back then they didn't draw on a tablet, they didn't have all of the tools that we have now. Then I point them to the first chapter of Sailor Moon and dare them to call one of their beloved favorites ugly.

I'm pretty sure someone has said it before but it bares repeating.
When someone takes a picture of a well known artist, person, or character and slaps the name of their RPC on it. Usually in that horrible glitter script.
Now I know people are going to take the image of their favorite anime character or whatever and use it to represent their RPC, most people can't draw that well and can't afford to commission someone to draw for them all of the time (half the time it's not exactly what you envision).
But really to take someone else's work and slap the name of your character on it as if you did something is just so tacky. It's worse than those sad photoshops where you can see someone used mspaint to change the color of the hair and eyes of someone. It doesn't even take that long to sit and watch the tutorial on photobucket on how to alter colors on an image neatly and convincingly, not on par with photoshop but it's good for a free service.

I learned to alter colors neatly and convincingly through trial and error. It worked out quite well for my friend's Minecraft skins, and my crappy remix texture packs.
I figure I had better improve at drawing if I want to have images of my OCs anyway. It's impossible to find characters who look like them these days.
That really bugs me about the movement of RPing these days too. An interesting RP doesn't need blinding color text, glitter, and a picture in every post. A lack of excitement on the page isn't going to be disguised with lights and colors. It seems like now everybody must have a posting style, a text color, an abridged picture, a name tag, and even theme music to apply. Theme music?
Is it so difficult to remember who someone's characters are, or just go back to the profile page once in a while for a refresher? People should start adding "No pointless page stretching posting style crap" to rules above "No one-liners." On top of that, they should really take a good long look at what is relevant information to require in a profile. Some of those minor things like favorite color, favorite songs, favorite foods, likes, dislikes, etc. should be shown rather than told. At least then if another character wanted to know more about yours, it would have been more apparent that they were paying attention and watching out for common traits, rather than just reading an out-of-character rap sheet.
Hey, isn't that meta-gaming?

Oh I hate the theme music thing! I hate it when it's on a profile skeleton for something that has utterly no use for theme music. When in the hell is a theme song/music for a character going to be important in a post apocalyptic zombie riddled type RP world?
I feel conflicted in this peeve. When someone who is way way way into anime/manga writes 'Kyaaa!' That is on par with throwing in random Japanese phrases sans a translation into your work. I have lost interest in things because someone recommended it in the forums with a 'Kyaa! This is so good!'
I'm not Japanese, I can't translate Japanese except for a few greetings, good bye, sorry, and thank you.. and more and it's so big, but my best friend who does know it taught me so that I can make my hentai chick sex/orgasm imitation more believable. If I have something to make a squishy sound then it's the tentacle fetish hentai ^^ . It's good for laughs and seeing how red some people's faces will get.
Anyhow people should not have to go to an online dictionary to translate what some idiot put down from some incorrect Japanese and what more the inaccurate form of that incorrect Japanese. Is it so hard to check their work?
I admit to using some Spanish for my character who uses Spanish terms of endearment because she is but I look it up, I check through a number of sites make sure I'm using either the male or female term, and check to see if it reads right.
And I miss Minecraft so much. My computer died a little after 1.0 was released and my laptop is too weak to handle it. I lost my house of glass in the survival mode, that's a lot of sand and coal to mine to make a cube shaped house (like a diamond not a flat square). With a two story glass home within. And an underground mineshaft with a lava floor! crying
That pissed me off more than the time some guy who ran a server kept restarting after I established the first island home in the sky on that world. Then it was to the Nether I made a house that looked like a Ghast. Then he restarted again. Just quit that server after that.

/start rant 1. Poor grammar. I understand when someone puts an honest effort into the piece they're creating, but when someone gets they're/there/their mixed up... >mfwSame thing with your/you're 2. Post Layouts. This includes the lack of a layout and a ridiculously overdone one. 3. One liners, especially after I've written a good two or three paragraphs, to encourage writing more. I can't stand stupidity. I understand if the person is new to roleplaying, but when you're in a Semi.Lit.-Adv.Lit. thread, newbies should not be there. 4. When someone clearly doesn't have a wide vocabulary, but decides to throw in a huge word that they've used a thesaurus to find. "She saw the horse" quickly becomes "She saw the gelding." First of all, the two more popular meanings come from the word "castrate." So thank you for saying that you've seen the process of castrating. -_- I'll add more when I think of them. /endrant

I understand people like doing that, but it's just not how I've been posting. I'm just not a post layout person. Though I do disagree with theme music. That can make a battle or mood more interesting depending on the situation.

When people who have more than one character just drop conversation with your character because that other character of theirs is having an interesting or potentially interesting conversation.

I wonder if anybody has covered this. I imagine they might have but it's been bugging me lately.
People who think bad personalities and social traits are viable character flaws. I personally don't think it should count that a character's flaw is that they aren't very verbose, or are stoic, or shy. I've made characters that were bullying jerks (though reprimands were surprisingly rare) all the way up to being needlessly hostile or violent and never listed those as flaws.
Ok, I can see where being a shrinking violet might be a flaw in a romance RP. If your character's love interest isn't interested in that sort of person, or if your character gets pushed around as a result. I can see why being short spoken and callous can be a flaw if your character is trying to improve their popularity, or often has to speak publicly. Those are very situational flaws. What I can't see is it being a flaw to be soft spoken or a bit eccentric, when your character's strengths involve the ability to devastate city areas faster than an artillery bombardment from an offshore destroyer.
I can see why a vampire might be uncomfortable in public. They are swimming in FOOD. That isn't a flaw, it's probably to be expected. This is probably the case with any socially awkward monster. Non-humans often have completely different life systems, politics, and culture to make it difficult to relate to a human.
I get that people don't want to sacrifice their character's physical abilities for combat situations, but it isn't like they need to be great at everything to do well. Slower or less agile fighters can rely on armor and a sturdier stance, or utilize cover more frequently. Frailer combatants can rely on hit & run tactics and skirmishing.
I just think if character flaws are to be required, they should be relevant to common situations within a story, and not some external issue or something completely negligible. Or in the case of non-humans, flaws shouldn't be something you would expect them to experience in human society.
