He was really starting to grow attached to this mysticker. It seemed the thing was starting to like him and wanted to help him too. He wished there was something he could do for it, but he wasn't really sure what to do for a mysticker, it hadn't really been one of those things that came up, ever. He hoped that he'd think of something eventually or find someone who knew what he should do. He grabbed a quick drink and after a few minutes felt well enough to start training again. This time he stuck with his sword and did simple training against one of the dummies, trying to get a feel for it. Anatoly had definitely been correct, the ice was a lot stronger than he had expected, but it was also too slippery. He tried thinking of ways to deal with that and formed a tiny bit more ice, this time creating a kind of simple glove around his hand with the sword attached. He went back to attacking the dummy with simple strikes and found the the glove was helping immensely. He hoped that he was the first to come up with this because if it ever came down to an ice vs ice battle he'd be able to hold onto his weapon easier. "Ok he responded to Anatoly, thanks anyways." He moved when Anatoly asked him to and nearly jumped when the ice exploded. "That was... origi..." he started to say only to stop when he saw Anatoly start to fall. "Are you ok?"
((Out of curiosity am I the first to try and have the tip of the blade wrap around to hit my opponent from the side like that because if I am I want that to officially be my trick, although I'm not sure what you would call that exactly.))

(Ice caltrops aren't brutal.
Ice caltrops that may or may not be or become grenades? That's brutal.))
"I'm good," Anatoly huffed out, grinning fiercely. "But I just created flash-froze twenty layers of water chambers in the core of that caltrop to make it explode."
((And yeah, I think you're the first one to try the snake-blade thing.))

"No, I didn't know that." Mike said stalling his assault on the training dummy. "Is it hard, or is there a limit to the distance distance?" He was interested, this would give him some new advantages depending on the answers.

"I don't know. I think the amount of power needed escalates over distance, but it hasn't been too bad. But I've noticed... rather than firing a spike from here...." Anatoly waved a hand. A needle of ice stabbed into a training dummy. Even in the state he was in, a spike was nothing now. "Start it over there." A spike appeared starting practically in the training dummy.

Anna fell, and her shield popped. Flustered, she stood up and looked around, squinting in the fog to try and see if she could hear any of Crash's footsteps, which was highly unlikely, or at least see a shadow of his form. Anna thought for a moment as she stood there, then looked at her shield sticker. She reached up and traced it once more then held up her hand, concentrating hard. Soon there was a small bubble shield in her hand. Anna thought for another and chucked it a little ways away, then relaxed her focus to hear it pop. Hmm...Anna squinted around and saw a dark form creeping around. She lifted both hands and focused hard, making piles of the shield bombs in her hands. Anna quickly threw them at what she prayed was Crash's form then tried to make them expand rapidy so that they gave a bigger pop. If nothing else, it would at least distract him and give away his position.

"That's true, but like you said it takes more energy and probably isn't as strong." Mike had another thought. "Can you form a sort of spike ball using Ice 1?" he asked Anatoly hoping that the answer was yes. "Not even remotely, just like a kind of mace or something."

"Sure, but a bludgeoning weapon of ice is not among the best ideas I've heard," Anatoly laughed. "I think the ice is just as strong as a distance - it's just about the structure of it."
He formed a spike nearby and a spike remotely and sent them at each other. They slammed into each other and both shattered.

It was a common tactic, but seeing Anna do it startled Crash. She was advancing well.
He jumped back, but one of them hit his leg and burst, throwing him to the ground.
"How many is that for Anna, now?" he called. "Add one."

"Think that's two!" Nathan roared, leaping at Crash. Nathan only needed one, only the one...

He flew at Crash with fists upraised, and sticker already traced and primed. A little dart of mild fire formed behind Crash's back; at that kind of distance it was the most Nathan could manage anyway.
