Gaku gasped, feeling rubs break and fell stumbling back to land on his knees. "B*tch..." He curled up tight at the pain of his ribs.
Ushio groaned a bit, he didn't feel like getting up at all. "What happened...? T-Thats right Kari knocked me out..."

Kari bent down and grabbed Gaku's chin, forcing him to look at her. She smiled with her eyes closed as she went back to normal.
"Don't ever come looking for Ushio, if Your two leaders, Metsu and Akunichi even come close to me or him, I will skin them and use them as new coats. Got it?" She dropped Gaku's chin and gently picked Ushio up, carrying him away. Her emotions blanked off her face. "Your coming home, I'll fight Sakaki later if I have to."

Gaku glared at Kari before passing out, Uka was the only one not badly injured.
Ushio opened his eyes and shook his head. "No...I hate it there..." he was stuck in that other personality cause she broke it while he was using it. He shot his hand at her throat to try and stop her, he was using all his strength.

Kari growled.
"Ushio Hyuuga you will stop now!" She looked down at him with that look of pure anger. "Knock it the f*ck off, I am already pissed at you for not leaving without telling me and you know how short of a temper I have. I will not hesitate to deal with you like I dealt with them."

Ushio stopped and growled back at her. "I belong with them more then anywhere! Their my family and friends!" He looked away and crossed his arms, closing his eyes stubborn and mad. "Your not my real mom so stop acting like it!"

Kari growled and just plain out dropped him on to his *ss.
"Listen, Kaname sent me to come and save you so can you at least respect her wishes? She saw what happened and was trying to get me to save you so they didn't kill you." She crossed her arms. "And how dare you talk to me like that!" Tears gathered in her eyes. "I have been so worried! I looked all over for you, I got sick with Pneumonia because I was so worried! I help you out when your parent's left you for dead!" The tears escaped and rolled down her cheeks.

Ushio flailed his arms and landed hard on his *ss, wincing and looking up at her with wide eyes. "Kaname...I'll respect her wishes..." He looked shocked at her yelling. "Worry all you want Kari! I'm not some weak kid you knew who you found on the streets! I'm strong and a thief!" He stood up and glared up at her. "Don't you dare cry! The only one who deserves to cry is Kaname! She was murdered and I want to know who did it!" He was yelling by now at Kari.

Kari slapped him, hard.
"I don't care, you should still respect me. After this, I'm sure Kaname won't even want to come back, not with how much you've changed. I'd rather have you weak and the sweetest person on earth than strong and a complete jack*ss..." She shook her head and walked away, not caring anymore if he followed, she had always been meant to be alone, why hadn't she seen this coming. "And a Cannibal killed Kaname, there's barely anything left of her body." She disappeared through the trees.
Suddenly Kaname was behind him, her eyes wide.
"What did they do to you Ushio?" There were tears there, tears of pain and confusion. He had loved Kari like a mother, why was he acting so differently! She didn't know her soul was splitting like Hyua's had, breaking.

Ushio stumbled a bit and held a hand to his cheek. "I was trying to become strong so I could protect Kari and Kaname..." He turned around and got wide eyed at Kaname's ghost. "They didn't do anything to me Kaname-chan! I'm still Ushio!" He smiled at her softly, his cheek already bruising. "W-Who cares about Kari...this place is my family..." He hid his face with his hair to hide the threat of tears when he realized Kari was all he had left.

Kaname walked up to him and placed a hand to his cheek.
"Ushio, they've done something... this place.. it isn't for you. There are other ways to become strong without losing yourself. I don't know what Kari's going to do after this, most likely hand herself in to the ANBU, she's wanted in so many places... she has nothing left now, since she got in a fight with Sakaki over bringing you back..." She hugged him. "You should follow and apologize, before she does something stupid.."

Ushio shook his head. "I've tried before! My parents thought I was weak no matter what! Yuko never saw me as his equal only his little puppy to boss around!" He tried to hug her but went through her and shook his head. "Like she'll forgive me...but I'll try for you..." He went to follow Kari and try to catch up.

Kaname nodded and disappeared, still following but invisible now.
Kari was sitting on the edge of the rocks by the water fall in the valley of the end. Looking down at the water crashing below her, she kept telling herself how stupid she was, believing anyone would stay with her for a period of time. She felt like a little niave kid, everytime she helped someone they always left: her brother, Uzaki, Ushio, Yuko... all gone. She gripped her head, letting out the tears, she didn't want to be alone!
"Why..... Dammit! Why!"

Ushio came up behind Kari and knelt down to hug her from behind tightly, crying softly. He was afraid she'd pull away or slap him again, he held tight and hid his face.

Kari sat there, stunned that he had come looking for her. She just sat there, like that, for a while before she turned and hugged Ushio back. Still crying.
"Please come back home.. please Ushio."

Ushio hugged tightly and curled up in her arms. "I just don't want to go home...I like being a thief and I have so many friends..." he cried softly into her shirt. "I just can't stand living anywhere else..."
