Kanda wasn't concerned about being left alone with Kiah, as he intended to focus on the work at hand, unless Kiah attempted small talk. He continued diligently.

"No, I don't. I don't even know where her room is, nor where she likes to hang out during her free time. I guess I'll just pray that I'll bump into her soon..."

"Hmmm..." Kiah looked up to the rafters and tilted her head either way, knowing that Liv liked to be in high places. She gave up and shrugged when she couldn't see anything, knowing the older girl would show up sooner or later. "I don't think she'd be in her room... She seems to be all over the place, really. Though, I'm not sure...," she said while frowning. Though she'd been here for the past few months, Kiah still felt like she didn't know everyone as well as she should.

"Thanks, anyway," said Mizaka as she came up to the table. "Need help with that? Looks like you'll need a handful of people in order to get this done before sunrise." She picked up a pen and began looking over some papers.

"You really don't have to, but I suppose I couldn't stop you if I wanted." Kiah gave her appreciative smile, happy that she'd even asked, but not wanting her to feel like she needed to. It was nice having people who wanted to help around.

"We're friends, aren't we? It's the least I could do." Mizaka began reading through one of the papers, only to stick her tongue out in disgust. "Too long, didn't read." She was about to sign it when a sudden thought occurred to her. "Hmm...I don't think your bosses will be too happy if they see some nobody signing their papers..." She picked up an already signed paper and looked over it. "This is your signature, right?"

Kiah smiled softly until Mizaka started talking about how long the writing was. "Um... You really should read through all of that. Some people try to get some strange things approved..." Shivering at the thought, she distractedly looked at the paper Mizaka was holding out. "Hmm? Oh, yeah, that's mine."

Mizaka focused her concentration on Kiah's signature, then got out the unsigned paper. With one swift motion, she managed to copy Kiah's handwriting perfectly.
"Impressed? Fighting and defense aren't the only things we were taught at the Soul Academy." Mizaka's grin quickly faded away once she began reading the paper she had signed. "...Oh." She crumpled it up and a blue flame ignited from her palm, burning the little ball. "Now I understand what you mean by 'strange things...'"

"Wow..." Kiah looked at the exact copy of her handwriting in awe, wondering what other kinds of classes they taught. "I hope you don't need to use that skill often." She giggled when Mizaka burned one of her papers, glad that she saw her point. "Yes, you've got to be careful. Though next time we can just scribble the signature out."
Kiah turned back to her own pile soon after. "So is that new Spirit still giving you a lot of trouble?"
