A snort. "Have you been watching her? Don't need to mimic perfectly to get in that head. Besides...more profitable to just get rid of her anyway." A grin then. "No they won't trust you. But they won't trust each other either, the the children you're here to claim. That's the way we work, breed distrust and you all do the dirty work for us. What if I just let you go? Maybe they'd cut you down then hm? Well good."
Crossing his arms lightly. "Do what you have to do. You have another child, why not spend your thoughts on him? You only need one heir right? Though I would say lucky you for not being the one that spends the most time with him...otherwise you'd be in a very different place of power among us right now."
A shrug. "I don't know the plan. They do. But not me...so I really can't tell you anything. I'm just enjoying prancing around in your skin. You want to know why this is all happening you're going to have to ask the ones who...took a little more of those they stole forms from, and I'm not speaking about children. You don't seem too concenred about those anyway, why the hassle? They're just little elves."

Zahara watched Malik take off and shook her head, grumbling to herself beneath her breath. She knew better than to yell at him...it only made him that much angrier and proving him wrong only made him that much more eager to prove himself right much like a child attempting to impress his mother with his boyish bravado. She'd seen it in Zykariel, Malikhai, and Malik and one of these days it was going to get one or all of them killed. Turning her attention back to Piper, she nodded to her friend and let her pick her own way. She wouldn't take well to being coddled. "Back to the original plan then. We need to get down there and we need to stay alert. No magic. Galesen, let Malikhai go."
Zykariel shrugged and glanced at his father. "I didn't recognize it from any of our studies so I assumed she hadn't seen it either. You know how excited she gets when new things are found and brought home. Remember that moss Lyssie almost ate when she was a baby? We couldn't get her out of your training room for hours after Lyssie went to reverie." He gave his youngest sister a hug and a bundle of stones to play with. They weren't Terra Bud Drops but they were damn close and she adored the sparkling stones the way his mother loved amber. They would keep her quiet and entertained while the others faced off. Jerking Galesen's arm away from Malikhai he gestured his friend on and the two disappeared from the cusp of the hole in moments. He wasn't letting him go alone and he knew better than to keep him from going.
Faate blinked once at Malik then turned and looked up at the one standing beside her. She said nothing but took in everything. Her eyes blazed briefly with unknown fire at his response and then died just as swiftly. She was waiting...but for what no one knew.

"I have an heir, true enough. and to be honest, my Tier'dal upbringing was on the verge of writing him off. however, they are family. perhaps you don't really understand the concept. not to mention, since you seem to know oh so much about my wife, that surface elves aren't exactly known for thier breeding potential. which means every child she can bear is important because she can't exactly just pop out another child."
Before looking a Faate, and noting the fire but not really saying anything on it.
"So, I take it my 'wife' or 'sevilin' is in charge then? I want to see them. your plans be damned, I want to see this thing in my wife's skin. Personally, I'd be impressed if she can even pull it off to my satisfaction."
A smirk.
"by that same token, if I were to lift this sword and behead you, why should those in charge care? your just a little uninformed, and obviously unimportant 'nell."

So it was true then, on both accounts. Well then that made things so much easier now didn't it? "Imortant to her only, yes? That's what you just said...important to her, but not important enough for you to not want to write him off. Well then, even a better choice was made." Another look to Faate and giving a grin...well then she'd be much more useful now wouldn't she?
"Well, yes, she is." Tilting his head lightly at the request. Oh she'd probably get a kick out of that one. She did so enjoy the little things that could amuse me. Placing a hand around Faate's shoulder, he turned her and started out with her with a look back over his shoulder. "You're right, they wouldn't. Guess that means you don't have an advantage either." Off with him.
Walking with Faate down the hall he grinned. "You did very well." Stopping as he encountered Sevilin, handing over the girl. "She's ready. And he wants to see Her." The inflection in his tone said who he was talking about.
"I'll tell her." Heading off with Faate then. "You my dear Faatallon...have some people to meet."
He struggled like a wildcat and even Yinn wasn't too happy, barking and making a fuss about things, running around the pair till Zahara and Zykariel stepped in. To which he was more or less off like a shot again with hsi friend, repelling down at quick pace to the basin of terrain. Ugh, that stench was thicker here. "Look those things are all over the place."
"She'll be fine." Helping Piper get her feet back and making sure she could stand well enough before tending to things. Gathering weapons and everything else they had brought with them. A slight sigh of relief though as Galesen had stopped Malikhai...not that it helped for long. But a shake of her head, waiting for Zahara and Sevilin. "Forward motion and we'll try to stick together." Thusly down for the rest of them as well, leaving Broog with the horses and Lyssie. "Everyone try to stay out of the lights...as best you can anyway."
Sevilin scribed a rune to hide their ropings as they reached the bottom and started off. "Zahara...this thing the boys are talking about. Ever seen it." Looking around and taking note of the things around here as they singled out and started off.
"Pick them off, get the stragglers and slow pacers first. Or the reactionary ones, I like those." Standing and giving a nod to Sevilin as she picked up the paler than usual little elf and walked off with him. "Set the girl to task, let her lure but don't let her out of your sight. As for the other little one, keep him happy. Thusly off to see Malik.
So yes indeed 'Piper' did walk into where Malik was more or less rooted to the floor, Dhairiss clinging to her as she held him. "Malik D'vinn...pleasure I'm sure."

"If you hadn't kidnapped my son, or the inthara children, I'd probably agree."
looking at his son, and at his 'wife'.
"I must say I'm not quite as impressed as I thought I'd be. you aren't even holding my son like she normally does, and you don't have the right color pattern scheme on her hair. not to mention your missing at least one article of clothing."
A slight frown.
"So. now that I have the 'boss' care to enlighten me on the question I asked my double? why us, when you would have seemling a much easier time on the surface with people that are actually afraid of your kind?"

"Yeah..." He was glancing around, searching for whatever was lurking in the area. He'd seen the flash of something three or four times and at least three of those had been the purple cloak his sister wore. "And we have no clue what they are- Hey!" Taking off after the figure moving rapidly ahead, he put on a burst of speed and hollered. "What the ******** did you do with my sister, you b*****d?!"
Feet on semi-solid ground again, she was picking her way forward, studying the crystal-like flowers with interest. "No, I haven't...but I remember something like them from somewhere..." Holding her nose and using extreme caution, she broke one open and dropped some of the powdery substance she found inside into a vial. When she glanced up again, the group she'd been with was gone. Undaunted, she secreted the vial away and set off to find them once again.

"A few modifications here and there. Why not. And I'd say he's quite uncomplaining about such things." Petting at the child who did indeed seem to try and curl up tighter to her in her hold. "And who says I'm looking to impress you...if I wanted I could. Modifications can change after all. But a snort and a roll of her eyes. "Such silly questions. WHy not just leave me be, I left your other one alone. And the surface is no fun, this is fun. Besides, when you want to move someplace new, it's good to know the right people. Or be them."
A look to where his friend was yelling at, but he didnt' see anything. "Zykariel!" Taking off after his friend. Might as well at least stay together if they couldn't completely stay together as a group, weaving aroudn light as much as he could and trying to keep up with his friend...till the ground gave away under the feet of both boys.
"This group is impossible." Happy that he had runes on his children now as his son ran off...just have faith that things were okay for the moment...they were really at a loss here, nothing they could really good. "Wh-?" A blink as he looked over and his wife was gone then too...but she....a shake of his head as if to clear it. "I hate to sat it Swiftfeather...but it seems we're starting to dwindle...but I would say that we're all going to end up in the same place. Galesen try not to get spirited away."
It was her job not to panic...that was her main job. No panicing and keeping everyone else together. Malik was gone, the boys were running off, and Piper wasn't well and Zahara was gone now too...and there was no pattern to any of this. No specific way to tell anything. She swallowed, again wishing for Kieran or at the very least, strength to do this. "Just keep walking..."

"I can give you several reasons. First, you don't abandon family, second, you don't give potential enemies easy weapons. third, you kidnapped my son. fourth, I could have provided you with bodies if you had asked rather than taken. fifth, you have the as of before unheard of ability to forcibly prolong our reverie, which deserves some looking into."
crossing his arms lightly, keeping sword in hand.
"Not to mention, it's rude to take the form and child of the person that even allowed there to be a surface for you to spawn on in the first place."
and just for his own personal amusement, and to test limitations, tried to stab his 'wife' in the leg.

Faate stood at the edge of the sinkhole and glance down, smirking. Daddy would be pleased. Skirting the edge carefully, she moved back through walking ahead, her cloak clutched tightly around her body. "Daddy?" she called softly then louder. "Daddy?"
Zykariel felt himself falling, grasping for anything to hold onto, any illusion that might save them. He had no idea what they were falling into, no idea what they hit when they finally did. His body felt...strangely disconnected and his head hurt. But not like he'd smacked it against anything. It was...odd. "Malikhai?"
Zahara heard her daughter's voice and took off running, searching the surrounding area for the call once again. She withdrew her daggers just in case but tilted her head, listening again. There! Just ahead. "Faatallon?!"

Galesen followed the others down below and rolled his eyes when the boys took off, he tried to keep the young blue elf from running off but it seems like they decided too anyway. "When we get out of this we serious need to learn on how to stick together." A blink as suddenly Zahara was missing. Great now they were down to four. "Don't worry Sevilin I have no need to go off by myself. They haven't taken or copied the form of anyone I know." So slowly he Fianna and Sevilin started to walk through the area. He kept an eye on those damn crystals because it seemed they were the causes of the disappearances. Though his ears twitched at the sound of a familiar voice. "Sevilin I wouldn't go for her yet...we don't know if they are using her as bait or if she is even there...though if you want to we all go together." That would be better, two rune mages, two trackers, and a elf who just knew his major elemental spells. Didn't sound like a good group but it was better than nothing.

My my he was wordy. "When you ask people for things, they usually want repayment...besides asking is out of the question when you can't speak and not everyone is a telepath you know." Barely a reaction to him as indeed his blade cut into her leg...which across his own bond connections he would feel the flutter of bodily distress that apaprently his son felt too because he lifted his head weaklu with a questioning noise. She merely smirked at Malik. "Boy you do do my work for me I must say." Grasping the blade and shoving it back to him, stepping a safe distance away then before bringing her now bloody hand up and flashing it to Dhairiss who seemed to immediately start to freak and if he could he would probably crawl back inside the woman he thought was his mother. But she still soothed him. "I know baby...daddy's gone and done it again. He does so enjoy doing that to me doesn't he?" A wicked smirk to Malik then. "Somehow I can't help thinking you don't want him back at this rate. You think you hold the cards."
Falling was never fun, landing was even less...and he wasn't sure where they were. He knew there was some falling, and some bumping and some sliding. A few coughs and a look to his friend as his name was called...at least they were still together. Or at least he hoped. Yinn promptly jumped between the two boys, chittering at them till he got a reassuring pet. "I'm here..." A look around...what were all those little dots? Light?
He stepped from whereever he had been, seeing as she was his charge for the moment. Why'd he always get the second hand assignments. But he followed his sister a ways...well damn there was the mother. Let's play stupid. "Faatallon wait up! I told you dad is not dad!"
"Sticking together isn't always the best option. ANd that only makes you a target for what you may or may not know young Galesen." Picking their way through rocks and light and what not, slowly getting to the center of the place...but the air seemed to get thicker and a tad unbearable as they did."
"I'm not stupid...this place is one big giant trap. We stay to the course and only deviate once we get someplace that isn't too much danger from every single side. Like out here. Keep walking."

"Thats true but do you want to separate and get caught by these 'nells? I rather stay in a group for now until we can make sure we are clear of danger." A small huff from him before they continued on, each one of them watching their backs and fronts for anything unusual. Though after a moment Galesen pause and took a sniff before continuing. "We must be getting close to something, the air is different but what is it?" Slowly he placed a hand on his katana, it be best to be prepared.

"the point of that was simple. you can bleed. and if you can bleed, you can be killed."
looking at his son, and shrugged.
"I'm tired. Tired of caring, tired of fighting things like you that really are just cowards looking to make names for themselves at my expense. If I wanted that I could have stayed on Norrath."
Setlling himself down resting his sword across his knees and leaning his back and what he assumed was a wall of some sort.
"When I get out of here. and we both know, in one way or another, I will. you better hope to piss me off enough that I kill you. It'll be much less pleasent if I choose to keep you around for my amusement."
Drumming his fingers on Malvolence lightly, taking note of her collar. would it work like Piper's? despite the ability to 'mimic' bond emotions, he knew that he should have felt much more than a fluttering her being that close to him. was it worth the risk if it did, to potentially kill both the false, and the real. Might be worth it.
"But, go ahead. gather up the rest of us and put us in our own little rooms. play mindgames until you get all your thrills. make sure you get every ounce of pleasure you can, because I will give you an equal amount of pain to my frustration and anger."

His head was starting to hurt again and his vision getting fuzzy. Hell, not what he needed right now. "Well do you want to stay together and get caught by them? The same issue on different hands."
"It's those crytal things,if you look you can see air escaping them in some fashion. Probably a gas of some sorts." Coming to stop in front of the structural like place. A glance at all the little gave like tunnel entrances. A blink at that...she wished she could see as well down here. "Okay those more attuned to the dark, which should we pick?"
Giving a cough she kept walking past them as they stopped. "This one." Because she just thought she knew.
"Blood doesn't mean anything. I'm higher than the others...after all, I've gotten you haven't I? Coming into your own home and what not. And good to know you don't care, makes my job all the easier. Here I thought you were going to be a challenge but apparently you're not. And you made your own bed...Malik D'vinn, his reputation known all over the underdark and beyond. Power makes one a target. And when you do get your feet back to yourself...I would think twice about killing me. That is of course if you even care about your son. Or him living...but that's your choice and you seem to not have a problem with me bothering him so..." Turning and walking out, giving a snap of fingers and the light around Malik's ankles dissipated and dissapeared. "Now if you'll excuse me, why don't you go home and I'll go play with souls." Thusly leavign and not caring if her back was left open to him and his sword. Pity, he was such a promising man too.

A slight smirk. once his feet were loose, he got up and walked right out into the hallway...lets take a look around. he was going to gut that woman from her feet to her scalp with a dull needle for that. how dare she insinuate to his son that he was hurting piper as a method of control.
But his thoughts moved toward his wife. lets see if he could reach her through bonds...after filtering it through Malvolence to norrathian tier'dal, so she would understand him if nothing else.
Follow my trail. but be cautious. they made a copy of me as well. your copy can bleed...but she insinuated there is some link between our son and her..killing her might injure him. and take off your collar.
You know, souls are my buisness. I'm a necromancer."
