Cross wasn't startled by the thing in front of them, but he was by Sil's blood curdling scream. He had no time to be completely taken aback though, as he found himself being clung to. He wasn't at all upset by this, and the feeling was so much more welcome to him that he wanted it to be. He immediately put both arms tight around the young woman, hugging her close to his chest.
"Sil...Sil, relax. Please don't scream like that, there's nothing to be scared of," he held her there securely, taking her half a step back with him.

As soon as Komui was awoken, he yelled, startled, "AAAAHHHH!!....LEEENAALLEEE!! YOU TOOK MY LEEENNAAALLEEEEE!!!!!!"
Komui immediately tackled Mizaka and wrestled the bat from her, tossing it away in his rampage. He clearly was still somewhat dreaming, having no idea what was going on, no idea where he was. He got Mizaka in a lock and scrambled to his feet, backing away from the others. Grabbing some unidentified instrument from a nearby table, he held the needled end at Mizaka's neck threaneningly.
"GIVE ME BACK MY LENALEE! GIVE HER BACK!" he screeched, glaring at the others as if they would hand over his dear sister.
"Oh good lord!" Liv backed up, her eyes wide. She had no idea what to do at that point, and watched helplessly as Mizaka was taken captive.

The Lady wasn't at all startled by Sil's reaction, having seen it many, many times before. In fact, she had seen looks of horror so many times she couldn't count. She continued to float there for a moment before finally alighting on the ground, dainty feet making no sound as she did. There was an eerie smoke rising from her neck then, and she started to speak, "Hello...I seem to have lost my head...can you help me find it? I can't go on until I've found it, you see...I am a Dullahan."

Kiah jumped back quickly when Komui started yelling, watching with wide eyes as he started attacking Mizaka in his half-awake state. She was about to walk over and smack some sense into him when he pulled a needle out on the girl, causing her to hold her hands out reassuringly.
"Komui! You're still dreaming. Lenalee is fine, you know that. Now can we please let Mizaka go?" she spoke in a calming voice, taking a few small steps forward.

It all happened so quick Mizaka didn't have time to react to it. By the time she realized what was going on, she found herself in the grip of a hallucinating madman with a needle nearly jabbed into her throat. A giant wave of rage washed over her. It was bad enough that her sleep was interrupted; now this sister-obsessed idiot was threatening her life as well?!
"GET. OFF. OF. ME!"
A large burst of energy erupted from the girl, causing Komui to fly off his feet and crash land into the piles of paper on the other side of the room. Engulfed in her blue Magic, Mizaka turned to face the dazed and confused man, her eyes wide with anger.
"I SWEAR, I AM GOING TO SKIN YOU ALIVE!"

Sil had been trying to tug Cross backwards to run or something, some rather pathetic quivering noises come out of her throat once the initial scream of horror had been completed. When the woman started speaking, Sil repeated a string of swear words horribly unfit for most individuals who fit into the category of having ears.
"W-we don't just have heads lying around this place, lady!" She cried, shaking like a leaf still clutched onto Cross.

Cross wanted nothing more than to continue to have Sil upon him, but he knew that she needed to calm down. He gently, unwillingly, pried her from himself and gripped her arms tightly, bending down some to look her in the eyes.
"Sil, get a grip on yourself. She isn't going to hurt us, she's just looking for her head. You heard her, it's just a Dullahan. Look at me," he raised a hand to tilt her chin to up.
Taking his cigarette, he lifted her right hand and slipped it between her fingers before placing his now free hands gently at her cheeks. He held her there calmly, still looking in her eyes.
"Breathe. Have a cigarette and breathe," he continued with his calming techniques until she did as he asked her to.

I'm gonna have to cut this Komui stuff short though cause I'm finally getting to where I need to sleep, too DX ))
Komui hit the wall hard, and crumpled to the floor. Even though he was full of energy and rage before, now he was lifeless. He had been knocked out by the toss, and had even ended up falling on the needled instrument. It had pricked him, and his body slowly started to morph. He shrunk in his clothing, and soon had disappeared completely amongst the cloth. He had been turned into a sugar glider. His motionless, furry little body was buried in his clothing now.
Liv jumped and covered her face when Komui got tossed. It took her a minute to come out of her hand shield, and when she did, she was horrified. It seemed that Komui had completely disappeared. She hesitated before slowly walking over to the pile of clothing, "K...Komui...?"
Liv knelt down and started for a moment before turning to look at Mizaka, "What...what did you DO!?"

Sil honestly wanted to slap Cross for the comment it's just a Dullahan like she was supposed to know what the hell a Dullahan was to begin with. "I don't know what that is! My life is compartmentalized into two distinct categories: kill it, or don't kill it!" Her voice was hushed, and urgent, and as her eyes tracked back over to the woman the muscles in her shoulders twitched into an arched tense like a cat. "I don't think you can kill something that's headless!"
However, when Cross told her to calm down and forced her gaze to him, she started to slow her breathing a little bit. Her hand shook slightly as she brought the cigarette to her lips, taking a drag to calm her nerves, and as she let out a long exhale of smoke she felt some of the tenseness float away with it. "God I hate this castle. I really... really hate this castle," Sil muttered, her tone surly.
The lovers comment brought a clear flush to Sil's face, heat ebbing in her cheeks and along her neck as she looked down at herself in her night clothes, wondering where the hell she had gotten that idea from. She knew she didn't look exactly decent with miles of bare legs beneath shorts barely visible, but it certainly wasn't screaming ravish me. lover. "With assumptions like that, no wonder someone whacked your head off," she grouched, crossing her arms along herself now to hide more than out of insecurity. Her body language was still tense, but she knew that Cross was right-- the woman hadn't tried to hurt them. "Fine, if we have to help you find your head, where did you last have it? And no wise cracks about how it was attached to your neck, or something," her voice was a little impatient, and she clearly had little sensitivity towards the woman's headless situation. Had the Dullahan wanted sympathy, she shouldn't have scared the fear of God back into her.

Kiah looked on in horror when Komui seemingly disappeared and grabbed her gun, running out of the room to get help from the medical staff or the scientists. Whichever one could help him out.
