90' Supra FTW!!
That reminds me, I love Supras but one time at the hangout some idiot in a very nice supra came in. I said, "Hey look! A Supra!" and then immediately after I said it I realized it wouldn't be nice very much longer. He came in and revd the engine as hard as he could FOUR times in a row. We all realized he was a complete moron. Probably some spoiled rich kid who's daddy had it fixed up for him. 10 minutes later as he was leaving he tried to peel out of the lot. I guess he thought the cops weren't there yet. There were 2 bicycle cops out. We never really care about those, hehe. But there just happened to be a car coming in down the very road he was leaving from. The cop got there JUST in time to see him act a fool. He turned on his lights and stopped in front of him to block the road. That kid almost got arrested because as it turns out they were looking for someone in a vehicle with THAT description. White Supra with black hood. I think he almost s**t himself. blaugh I meandered over to listen to the convo with the cops as they stood behind the kid's car. He was leaning out looking in the mirror trying to figure out if he was going to jail. They figured out it wasn't the guy they were looking for, but he got a $300 ticket. LMAO. I just love it when ricers come in acting dumb like that. It's hilarious. I feel bad for the Supra though. Poor car...

LMAO Supras aren't Ricers Unless there are no mods to the engine and the outside is "pimped." I never rev My engine unless someone Wants to hear it. and even then it's only once. -_- I hate it when idiots have nice cars. I bet it was an auto. Mines a Manual!

Lol. It probably was an auto. He slowed down A LOT when he revd. Manuals can keep rolling. The way it moved would suggest he had to shift into neutral and then break to shift back into drive. xd I love manual trans. I drive mainly with my left hand. I literally CANNOT drive with both hands the whole time. Tried it, almost wrecked. My hands kinda like to contradict each other. I've had a couple injuries to each arm so it's impossible to keep them completely coordinated. Manual trans. gives me something to do with my right hand and left foot. I get fidgety when I don't have anything to do.

No car with More than 200 hp is worth driving If it's Not a Stick shift. ANd I know what you mean Burning, I like having Thins for my right hand and left foot to do now. I can't stand an auto now. -_- I feel less in controll in them now.

I like autos too, it's just that I prefer manual mostly. Autos have some advantages over manuals, like if you absolutely must use your right hand for something else, you don't have to worry about the shifter; if you ever break an arm or leg, you can still drive; and my fav thing about autos is that they are easier for me to drift. mrgreen

I've drifted a blazer at 70 mph. biggrin

Wow. Sounds like fun. I want to learn how to drift properly in a manual, but all I have right now is an 86' Mazda B2000. For one, pickups aren't really made for drifting unless you modify them. Second, the old B series trucks aren't built to handle the torque required to keep the vehicle under control.

If you want a REAL thrill, try drifting an 88' Chevy Celebrity station wagon. It's a FF with no hand break and only about 85mph top speed on the dash. Mine was auto. Most people say FF can't drift, but I proved them wrong A LOT. biggrin They say, "You're just a** dragging." Technically yes, but it's actually a kind of drift. Look up the definition of a drift, as long as the motion of the vehicle fits the definition, it's a real drift.
For me, all I had to do was slow down a bit and go full throttle in the desired direction, then counter steer as necessary. The only problem with FF is you can't do it on slick roads or you WILL crash. FF won't turn on slick roads. It keeps going in the same direction no matter where the wheels spin.
