Well, I took the plunge and set down a damage deposit on a new appartment. I told one of my roomates in October I was planning to move out Feb 1st. I told the other in November, both said ok! and everything was good. So I thought. I asked them if they'd found anyone and neither had so much as looked yet. She finally seemed to clue in to the fact that I was serious, or something, and started freaking out and saying I couldn't go. I asked her that on Jan 2nd. She said I had to give a month's notice before I could leave. I just looked at her.

Yesterday I did it, I signed the papers and I get my key on the 13th to officially move in on the 15th. I've paid rent for the second half of Jan twice that means, but it's worth it to secure a place. My roomates havn't spoken to me and I know they're really angry.

Huge sigh.

I spent most of the day going through boxes and packing, my living room looks like a big pile of boxes, and my laundry room looks like a tornado hit it. It was used for storage for the duration of my stay, alongside holding the washer, drier, and the desk I'm sitting at right now.

As soon as I get my key everything will be good, I can start moving into the new place, and while I need to go and buy a soft toilet seat, shower curtain, and a plethera of other odds and ends required for new living quarters, it's all a step in the right direction. If not an easy one.

Oh, yes, and since I'm moving my internet might not be set up right away, depending on a few variables. sweatdrop

I told them last October that I was going to look for a place in January, and that I was aiming for February 1st to move out. They both, as I told each one seperately, said all was fine and well. Come January though, I asked how the search for a replacement person for downstairs was comming, and neither one had looked for anyone at all. I found a place that worked for me and was available as of the 15th, this sunday. I put down a dammage deposit and told them I'd done so. They freaked out, tried to demand money from me to help pay for the fact they had no one else to live downstairs, and when I refused, went a-wall and did a bunch of the stuff I just mentioned above. SIGH.

Shouldn't be long before I'm back and running up on the Net again though..
