"The pain will go away if you tell me what I want," Darth Kos promised, moving his hand away from the boy. He felt a momentary disturbance in the Force. Frowning he continued to torture the child.

"I d-don't kno-ow! what your t-talking about," the child said again. Darth Kos aloud his power to manifest as actual lightning, shocking the boy to the bone. The boy howled with pain.

"You lie, he is here," Darth Kos growled. The boy turned to look at him and Darth Kos was forced to look away. It was the horror and despair in the boy's eyes. It reminded him of something.

With quick move, Darth Kos drew his lightsaber. It ignited and swept down, knocking the boy's head off.

The crystal was responding well to his calling. He could sense it becoming the perfect crystal for his new lightsaber. He kept tuning it.

Mon Cal ...

"I agree with Lady Vera," Gunther declared. "Master, do you have anything?" he queried Kalnar.

"I should recuperate before too long," Kalnar said, feeling the last waves of the dart he took earlier fade away. "I propose that as soon as we're able, we venture forth elsewhere,"

(( I think I'll look around and make some queries before I continue on with our gang on Mon Cal. ^^;; ))

Naboo ...

Freya and her entourage were ushered into Theed Palace by the guards.

"The Queen will see you now, Lady Starsinger," a guard declared.

"Like, excellent," Freya said, entering the conference room.

"When you're ready to leave I think we will be parting ways. I have buisness to attend to and I need to strike while the iron is hot," Iust said. Graka will die by my hand, not some other bounty hunter. Iust thought to himself.

On the edge of the Bespin system, the laws of reality ceased functioning for a time period fully shorter than a nanosecond, and a battered light freighter appeared. The Freighter was not important, it was your standard Correllian Light Freighter. It was still very important, however, because it was the chariot of Colonel Archaras Seraphim, son of one of the deadliest men in the Galaxy, Imperial Knight, and weaponmaster, late of the Imperial 505th Legion, and on the run from the Sith.

The burnished gray turrets on the Engine mounts of the Twilight Ranger tracked back and forth for several seconds, seeking to acquire any target that might present itself. Thankfully there were none.

The White Haired Echani sat in the semi-comfortable pilot's chair aboard the modified YT-3250, and eased the Throttle about halfway of it's limit, setting his ship at Cruise, and altering the trajectory to head for the only planet worth heading to in this system. Glancing at the chronometer on the console in front of him, Archaras pushed the throttle to three quarters of it's limit. The ships engines responded with a slightly louder thrum.

"You do realize we're a day and a half ahead of schedule, right?" Said a disembodied cool female voice.

"Yes ICIS, I do. However I don't trust the refrigerator units on those crates, they did come from Tatooine after all," Replied the Knight as he watched the Planet grow larger in the viewport.

"That is a valid point, there is a Seventy Three to One chance those Refrigerator units were either manufactured or purchased from Jawas...that's much to large a probability," Replied the AI. "You're lucky I'm not Correllian my dear, as I would most definitely now be yelling at you about not wanting to hear the odds," Archaras said with a small grin. There was a snort of annoyance from the ship, and a holographic figure of an attractive woman with long Raven hair and Stars for eyes appeared on the display in front of him.

"I'm lucky you're not Correllian? Yea right! If you were Correllian you'd be much more handsome AND you'd attempt to sweep me off my feet," The hologram said, before adding, "and NOT fail miserably."

"Why dearest ICIS!" Archaras said with mock surprise, "Are my attempts really so base!?"

"Yes." The AI replied.

They shared a laugh as ICIS pinged the Cloud City Network.

***

Now in the atmosphere, Archaras trailed the edges of one of the drive pylons in a multicolored cloud of gas, marveling at teh beautiful ripples it created. He began to compose a poem about it, but was interrupted by the comm system.

"Twilight Ranger, Twilight Ranger, this is Bespin control, please state your intentions," Called out a female voice.

"Bespin Control, this is the Twilight Ranger, I'm delivering a Cargo of Dewback Meat for Cran Culinary Enterprises, Merchant Guild Contract 2287X-3," Replied the Echani.

"Validating..." responded the controller, there was a brief pause and then "Twilight Ranger, this is Bespin Control, Contract authenticity has been confirmed. You may land on Pad 6C."

Archaras thanked the female on the other end, before rising and saying "ICIS, take us in, I'm going to get ready." He left the Cockpit to go don his armor and clothes. As he stripped, he felt a sharp change in course, and a lesser being would've lost their balance. It was probably not the best thing to let her fly so soon, but she very much needed the practice. He slid on the black bodysuit that would be his only defense on the mining colony. He briefly considered getting out his old Knight Armor, but instantly banished the thought. That would instantly have any Sith in this sector chasing him, and taht was something he did not want. He put his tan fatigues over his armor, while also adding the switch-viobroblade into the sensor resistant concealed sheath in his boot. The Echani also put a thin datapad into his Fatigues Cargo pocket. He grabbed his holster belt, and clipped it on, adding the paired Transcending Reaper Pistols to it, simultanesouly checking their powerpacks. They were full, and he added another pair for each to the belt. He then chose four grenades, one HE, one Concussion, One SmokeBANG, and one Ion, and clipped them to his belt. The Echani grabbed his sheathed Vibrosword and added that too. Then he strapped his blaster rifle across his back, and then tossed two more powerpacks for it onto his belt. He added his Sand-cloak, concealing all of this, popped in an EarComlink, and returned to the cockpit just as ICIS was coming to hover over the pad, extending the crafts landing gear.

"Bring her down easy ICIS, shut off the engines and let the depowering repulsors take her down," Intoned Archaras, hoping the AI would take his advice.

She sort of did.

She shut down the Repulsors too quickly, and the ship hit the landing pad with a clang. Thankfully the gear could take it. ICIS appeared and let out a nervous laugh, "I guess I need more practice huh..."

"Yes you do." Responded Archaras with a grimace. A quick diagnostic showed no damage, so Archaras walked for the ramp, which had begun to lower.

"ICIS, securelock the ship, I don't want anyone getting any ideas, and keep my Comm channel open. Also see if you can't 'insinuate' yourself in the local network," He said as he strode out of his vessel. "I'm already in...I have access to most functions and they have no idea I'm hear," ICIS chirped into the comm bead in his ear. Archaras nodded as he wrapped the lower part of his face in his scarf, sure she could see him through one of the many securecams she was viewing.

A bustling little Aleena hurried out of the access door to meet him, jabbering in basic, "Hello, I am Northey, Representative of the Merchant's Guild. You're alacrity in completing your contract has been noted and appreciated. The Guild has transferred two thousand credits into your account, along with 500 more as a speed bonus. The Guild will handle unloading. Is there anything else you require Mr. Russ?"

"No, thank you," The Echani said, unable to add anything more before the small being scampered away. '2500 Credits!?' Archaras thought to himself, 'These new Imperial Tarriffs are murder. I should be making twice that on a run this lucrative!' Archaras didn't understand why this run was lucrative. He found Dewback meat to be stringy and bland, but it was a delicacy of some sort, so he just made money off it when he could. He could hear Sergeant Metan saying in his gruff voice 'They may not be too good kid, but they are a sith-load better than an Insta-Kriff.' Archaras smiled under the fabric covering his mouth. Insta-Kriffs were the Troopers name for their Field Rations, which were among the least appetizing pre-prepped meals in the Galaxy. However some of the best tasting meals of Archaras' life had been Insta-Kriffs, not because they were actually good, but because he was alive. It was the TD effect.

Archaras spent several hours walking about, enjoying the sights, food, and the gambling establishments where he walked away with another 1500 Credits. When you've played cards with every trooper in a Legion, you become rather skilled at it. He sipped some Bespin Port at the same Casino's bar, and leaned back a little, enjoying the savory drink, and thinking that things were finally starting to calm down.

Then he felt it.

A flow through his mind, not in the building but certainly close. His pulse quickened and the taste of adrenaline slid into his throat. He immediately controlled his emotions, and everything returned to normal "Icis," He whispered, "Scan all Cams and look for any trouble. Something a Force User might be in the middle of." There was a tone of confirmation in his ear as the pretty Twi-Lek barmaid asked, "Did you say somethin' dear?"

"No," Replied the Echani. She smiled attractively at him and slid him another glass of Port. "On the House." She added.

"Uh-oh..." ICIS intoned in his ear, "Take a look at your datapad."

The Knight took out the device and activated it, careful to shield it's screen from any prying eyes. It was a feed from one of the Cams, and it showed a mostly unarmed man beating the everliving Kriff out of some Saber Rakes. 'Disgusting Creatures' He thought to himself. Well the man wasn't a Sith, that was for sure. If he was the Rakes would be in various sizes right now, and there would be a Limb salad on the floor. He was no Knight either, at least none that the Officer had ever heard of. Jedi then.

"How very strange," He said quietly. The barmaid looked at him quizzically. He finished his second glass of Port, slid her a tip, and left the Casino, collecting his stored weapons at the door. Moments after he vanished into the crowd.

***
With ICIS' help he soon found the Jedi. Archaras followed him through the city, and into it's underbelly. He did so skillfully and without being noticed. Occasionally ducking into an establishment for up to a halfhour at a time, then returning to track him with the help of his AI. He thanked whoever had given him the Force in his blood for his talent at hiding said Force. His quarry viewed some sort of hidden data feed, and then stood there for a moment thinking and left, walking right past his Echani tracker without noticing. Archaras again followed, again vanishing into bazaars and stores to make him all the more untraceable. Soon he was watching the Jedi stand at the edge of a Tower, deep in thought.

"This one should Complete what he started. This one may be Darksun in name only, but he owes much to that name." Said the man.

"Already searching" Whispered ICIS in his ear.

"I've got about a million hits, mostly about a famous pirate named Cale. But there are some mentions of offspring. There is no mention of a Jedi, but there is also no mention aside from that he exists of a descendant named Link. It is possible that this is Link Darksun," Said ICIS in an authoritative tone.

Archaras nodded, and turned to continue his vigil waiting to see what the Jedi would do...

"No!" cried the woman in the corner. Darth Kos turned to her and the one next to her. It must have been the husband. Darth Kos lifted him from the ground until they were a matter of inches away.

"How about you tell me? You have already lost your son, do you want to lose your wife?" Darth Kos threatened. The man shook his head before pleading for their lives.

"Please, please! We don't know anything about this," the man promised. "Leave us alone, we won't tell anyone about you."

"Liar! I don't care who you tell, but the fugitive is here," Darth Kos sent a lightning bolt into the wife. She screamed in pain while the husband looked on in torment. "Now tell me what I want to know or I'll do more than throw sparks at your... delicious wife."

"You... Slimmy Bantha!"

The crystal was nearly tuned. Already the choatic energy that swirled arund it before was more like a pattern, clear and elegant.

Naboo ...

Freya stood before Naboo's current ruler, the young Queen Sadeena.

In truth, the queen seemed to her as though she were about Gunther's age, if that. Still, the severe appearing young girl, with her milky white make-up, elegant flowing robes which defied description, appeared to make even one as blusterous as Freya take pause.

On either side of the queen stood advisors, clad in tunics and robes. Older, sterner men. In addition, a uniformed bodyguard stood at attention, eyes alert.

"It is my understanding that you were attacked, Lady Starsinger?" Sadeena addressed Freya.

"Yes, your majesty," Freya replied. "A Sith, unless there's some sort of uber black-ops trooper that wields lightsabers,"

Only the barest hint of a grim smile made the queen's lips. "Yes. Krayt on the throne certainly doesn't bode well for most people, including out here." she said.

"And, we so totally need saner people in charge. And for that, we totally think the power should be given back to the people."

"Democracy, Lady Freya?"

"Of course!" she exhuberantly exclaimed.

The queen smiled. "Your father said as much," she stated. "However, he passed away before the negotiations were complete." She then looked sternly to Freya. "However, while we can provide your movement with the right political push, we, unfortunately, lack the means of defense,"

"I see," Freya said, keeping her tone neutral. Waving the her wookie escorts, as well as the two Kel Dor, she said, "We have, like, managed to gain some means of support from Mon Cal, and Kashyyyk. Will they be totally sufficient to aid you, and so totally give you some muscle, then?"

"That is a good start, Lady Starsinger," the queen agreed. "And, an interesting way of putting it," she chuckled. Looking to the older man on her right, she asked, "Joren?"

The older man cleared his throat. "What the queen refers to is the remnants of the Galactic Alliance's Core Fleet." the man began. "Thousands of ships strong, and many times more fighters. When the Alliance was dissolved by Fel's people, the fleet had dispersed to the far flung reaches of our galaxy."

And then, the queen chimed in. "Of course, this will be no easy feat," she stated. "With that in mind, will you seek out the Core Fleet?"

Freya smiled, reflecting on what she'd just been told. She only had to ponder it for only the smallest of moments. "Like, you so totally got it!"

With that, the queen, and even her seemingly stuffy advisors had to let out a chuckle. "That seems to be about the answer I'd expect from you," Sadeena smiled.

Leo sat at a quaint little bar and sipped some sort of murky drink slowly, keeping one hand near, but not quite on, the hilt of his lightsaber. He was feeling uneasy and vulnerable, and he didn't like it. A plethora of thoughts ran through his mind as he figured out what to do, confusion running rampant in his head. He wanted nothing more right now than to consolidate a sizable amount of credits before setting off again, and Naboo was just the planet to do so. A center of politics, corruption was bound to be running about unchecked. He could simply do a little research, make a little call, and a frightened little fat man would be filling Leo's pockets with a fortune. But then again, perhaps he would profit more by finding another master to train under. Orgli was far from powerful and Leo wanted power as well as riches.

"Decisions, decisions..."

He took in another sip and then turned to see the Palace, standing royally in grandeur.

"What's this now?"

Zerosel had no time to react to the bolts that were coming at him.He moved his head, but not in time to move his tenticles. He howled in pain as his farthest right face tentice was cut off the the last bolt. As the stump of his tenticle flailed wildly he turned to see the traitor hide. He put his left arm up and aimed his hand at the man"Traitor"He said as he closed his fist and listened as the man was quickly being strangled.

JJ-225 took cover behind a wall.

((Wtf? Scan all cameras? AI or not, i'd like to know how you managed to hack the city's security camera feed.))

Link made his way to the central spaceport of Cloud City, pondering his next moves.
Coruscant would be difficult to get into without some sort of plan. He had never been to Coruscant, but he imagined it very similar to a bastardization of Bastion and Nar Shadaa.
He had gotten through Bastion's security net, and he had survived the deadly urban nightmare that was the Criminal infested pit of Nar Shadaa.
How hard could both be?

He slipped into a Pharmacy and made a few purchases and then continued on his way.

He was aware that someone was tailing him, the honed senses of a skilled warrior comining into play. The Force however gave little of a clue, and that in itself was odd. The stalker, a wel muscled white haired fellow, had been tailing him since just prior to having found the datalink, and there was a good chance that he might have seen the transmission from his ancestor.
At first, Link assumed it was just coincidence. But when he detected the same fellow upon the Bespin tower when he had debated over his next course of action, He knew the man had entirely too much free time on his hands.

If he had a guess, he figured the Saber Rakes had hired some goon to watch him. Gordo might have sent someone, but it was extremely doubtful, as Gordo would not meddle in Sith Affairs and had no way to follow the clues to the treasure. It wasnt Sith, as a Sith would have actually tried fully concealing himself and would have attacked him long before. And Bounty hunters would have already opened fire.

Link stood in the street and sighed.
"They must be lost." He stated calmly.

And then the man vanished, bolting like a freak down a Cloud City alley befoore leaping into an out of service freight elevator shaft plunging into Cloud City's Sublevels. Link free fell down at least a hundred of Cloud City's levels before slowing himself out of terminal velocity with the Force. He nimbly landed upon the deactivated elevator car, forced the hatch open, dropped inside and rolled into the level it was currently residing at.

Link surveyed his surroundings. He was somewhere in the Tibanna processing chambers.
He sighed. He miscalculated and was far off from where he wanted to be. Nonetheless, his stalker would be hard pressed to find him again. It would take time to find Link's trail, and that was time that Link could use to fade into the populace of Cloud City.

"This one is glad he is descended from a bloodline unafraid of hights." He mused as he swept his cloak around him and stole into the dankly lit Carbon freezing chambers of Cloud City, moving like a wraith through the shadows and searching for a way up towards the Port levels.

Zerosel looked down at the grenade and laughed. He lifted it in the air with the force an returned it to the trooper. He turns to Jaron and used the strongest push of the force that he had ever used, and quickly dashed away. He arrived at the space port in a few seconds."Get your ship ready to leave now!"He yelled at the trooper that was standing guard.

The small Master tried what he could to counter the throw of the grenade, but it still blasted him back some til his back hit the wall. He recovered with enough time to catch sight of the sith fleeing. A quick glance to the trooper undercover from the frag grenade going off. His robe tathered a bit

His attention then turned to the other sith in which Heras was about to engage.

((Thats al til next sunday.))

"what happened? our sniper is gone"
They entered the shuttle and flew away.
