The battle waged around her, Kasiya stood rooted to the spot, her eyes fixed on Giovanni. "It's him," she whispered, as Shocker jumped into her own Pokeball, fearing the wrath of the ground types before her. "I can't believe he's here..." She took a few steps forward, shockwaves from the Earthquakes bringing her to her knees. I've got to do something... she thought, looking around, frantically, but her mind seemed to tense up and she found herself frozen. "But what?"

"Kasiya calm down!" Mitsu said placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. She wobbled a bit from the Eathquakes, Angel's egg hand't quite healed her all up. "And I'm not sure. Should we join in on the fight?"

(( eek Lose the internet for a few days and things are gone like a runaway train gonk )) Keegan found himself waiting by the doors of the Department store, waiting for the rain to clear up. He'd been staring off into space, or more particularly, the ceiling, when he suddenly came back to his senses. He looked outside, noting the rain had let up, and he stepped outside, glancing around as he did so. "I hope every thing's going alright for them," he murmured, suddenly feeling a little nervous.

Kasiya didn't seem to notice Mitsu was next to her, at least not right away. "Ground types. Water. Lots of it. And Brick Break to take out that Light Screen," she said, glancing up at her friend, her face blank. Her hand fumbled for the right Pokeball, and she somehow managed to release her Vaporeon. "Hydro Pump," she said, somehow knowing Ariel would pull it off. Ariel made a running start, and loosed the deadly cannon of water towards the Nidoking.

Mike hopped on Nitro, commanding him to fly high in the air. "Quickly buddy, torch that Pidgeot!" He held on tight, knowing this wasn't going to be pleasent.
Nitro flapped his powerful wings, and dove for the bird, sending out a mighty roar. "You're mine bird!" He cackled, shooting a powerful Flamethrower at the flying Pokemon.

"Not on your life!" Sabrina called, tossing Mimien's Pokeball in. "Mimien! Use Psychic to turn that Golem around! Have it crash into the Electabuzz!" The Mr. Mime did a strange gesture with its hands before extending them out in front of himself, aiming at the Golem. The Golem's body glowed like Nidoking's, and he was able to steer it back in the direction of Electabuzz.
Nina quickly recalled Cupcake, and replaced it with Sakura, and then looked to Mihoshi, who was still fluttering about. "Sakura! Use a Stun Spore! Mihoshi, use your wings to create a current to carry it over to those Pokemon!" Both Pokemon acknowledged Nina's command. Sakura shot a yellowish-orange spore upward, and Mihoshi fluttered near it, using her wings like a fan to propel it forward at the Rocket's Pokemon.

Kilik looked down at the battlefield, watching as the Pokemon battled furiously. "No..." he looked at Giovanni's two Pokemon, then to Rena's, Nina, Mitsu, Mike and Kasiya. "Stop it!!" he barked, jumping over the bar and running down the nose of the copter. The boy jumped.
"Kilik! What are you doing?!" Giovanni growled, realizing that the boy had just left his side.Even I know when it's futile to continue...Apart they're weak, but together, they can even take down Team Rocket. These children aren't to be toyed with like I thought they were...
He went around Golem as it attacked Electabuzz and covered his head as the Charizard's Flamethrower torched Pidgeot. "This battle has to stop!!" he repeated, running up to Nina and gripping her shoulders. He took a few deep breathes. "Nina! I remember!"

Keegan strolled around Celadon City, his hands in his pockets. One hand held tightly to his PokeNav, on which he'd turned the ringer volume up all the way. He was worried for his friends' safety, although he was sure there was nothing he could do to help. He didn't even know where they'd gone. "The waiting game sucks," he muttered, kicking a tin can as hard as he could.
"....then maybe I'll help you win the waiting game?" a soft voice replied. Keegan looked up, and found himself looking at a rather pretty brunette, her foot atop the can he'd just kicked. "Battle me?" she asked, giving a sweet smile.
"Uh, um, y-yeah," he stammered, standing up to his full height, and grinning.
"I love a man who's articulate," she giggled, holding a pair of Pokeballs in her hand. "Two each?"
"Double battle?"
"No."
"Alright." Keegan steeled himself, and took a deep breath. A good way to get my mind off the others, he thought, as the girl before him released a rather cute looking Paras.

Mitsu held up Karri's Pokeball tossing it out. "C'mon out Karri! Help Nitro with a Thunderbolt!" Karri's ruby eyes flashed yellow for a split second before she unleashed the electric att upon the bird. She whipped around to see Kilik finally remembering Nina.

"Fall back, Rena..." he recalled his Nidoking and Golem, placing their Pokeballs back into his pocket.
"Sir?! What about Ki--" she began to ask.
"Leave him. He's too weak for us now...I was wrong about him." Giovanni pressed a button on the stand as Rena recalled her two Pokemon and they disappeared into the helicopter. It turned its back. "You haven't heard the last of Giovanni and Team Rocket!!" he barked out on the intercom. The copter flew away.

"Wait, Nitro!" The Charizard stopped his attack, both of them looking down at Kilik's change of heart. He told Nitro to chase after Giovanni, the fire dragon beat his wings hard, finally catching up.
"You," he began, standing up on his Pokemon's back. "you disgust me." He shouted. "People of age are supposed to be role models, not petty theives and criminals! You outta be ashamed of yourself, brainwashing kids and taking advantage of their fledgling hearts. Why don't you be a man and do it yourself!" He clenched his fists, looking away from the evil man. "If you weren't a Gym Leader I'd take care of you myself." With that Nitro flew down landing beside Nina and the rest.

"Killik..." Kasiya whispered, watching the boy take a leap of faith. He ran up to Nina, grabbing her tightly. "He's back," she smiled, her gaze going back to Giovanni. What does he want with us? she thought, standing up and stepping forward. Are we really that much of a threat to him? It seemed so, as the Rockets began to retreat. Kasiya felt the familiar nudge of Ariel's head against her hands, and she pet the Pokemon affectionately. "Hydro Pump, eh?" she laughed. "You ever try to wash me off with that, and you'll be sorry."
"Porre!" The Vaporeon cried, jumping up on her trainer, and knocking her to the ground before she licking her face excitedly.

Karri floated over to Mitsu and then gang looking at the new boy. "He's back, Nina's friend." Mitsu told the Psychic Pokemon although she herself didn't know anything more than that. This was probably the first time she'd met his normal self.

Nina was still trying to absorb everything that had just happened. Almost impulsively, however, she gave her friend a hug. "You do remember me," she almost whispered. "Thank Mew's divine grace for that..." Pulling out of the hug, she looked Kilik straight in the eye. "I will never allow that man to come within another mile of you, so long as I can help it."

Kilik looked at the ground, his hands still on Nina's shoulders. "I'm...sorry..." he whispered, swallowing the lump in his throat. "I couldn't protect you from him...in Goldenrod..." He fell to his knees, in the mud. His hands slid down her arms and then fell limply to his sides. "It's my fault all of this happened. If I had never joined Team Rocket in the first place..." Kilik removed his belt-buckle and looked at it intently, gripping it tightly. "A commanding general. HA!" he threw it over his shoulder, "That's a laugh. I couldn't even protect my friends from danger."
