I didn't really say the arrancar were being passive, but even if you're looking at this from a military perspective, why is the first instinct to start hacking at each other? Whatever happened to a peaceful solution?

I'm playing my character's reactions straight. She's calm, defensive, and not inclined towards violence. She's afraid and she tries to deal with it with mixed results. She's nervous and tries to overcome it. She knows the situation's delicate but that they (the shinigami present) represent the Soul Society as a whole, so she understands the need for strength, but not pigheadedness. The arrancar can't use the shinigami (or their clothes, in this case) as a doormat, so she's not stripping down, but neither is she being overtly contentious.

But, frankly, I'm really not looking for nit-picky input from anyone about what my character chooses to do. I'm feeling this irritating need to justify my character's actions because they're not as extreme as some of the other characters'. Which, you know, is weird, given that, not only is she a mild-mannered character, but she's my mild-mannered character, and the way I choose to play her off is purely my decision so long as it neither breaks rules nor maliciously insults another person or their character. I've never felt particularly obligated to comment on how anybody's character behaves, even if they're being Mary-Sues or Marty-Stus, or if their actions or reactions fall wildly outside the ranges of human nature, because, really, it's not my business. And anyway, some non-human characters could be inclined to extremes of emotion or personality. At any rate, if it doesn't violate the guild rules, my only concern is to try to write the story with the rest of the roleplayers, despite any inherent absurdity in the way their characters act.

Similarly, I don't really want to argue about the arrancar's intentions or how they ought to be interpreted.

(And, hypocritically, I find myself sucked into these arguments, anyway.)

Well then you'll have to pardon me, I did not realize that the Ooc thread could not be used for out of character discussions about what was occurring nor that this somehow made it difficult to reach the post button for other users.

Point being it was a friendly discussion about occurrences in the rp out of character and it didn't develop into much more than a small break down of logistics. At no point was anyone else encouraged to take part nor not take part and it resolved quickly enough (only a few posts each) that I hadn't felt the need to give it it's own thread. However is such truly is discouraged from being in the OOC then I'm curious as to what other content is not allowed in it to avoid such further "annoyance" as you put it.

Oh the hypocrisy. Well I'll let you have at it then, I find the entire premise that someone can not talk out of character in the out of character thread because you deem it annoying silly.

Stop it DBL. You can question practices but you should do it with more tact.

I don't expect snide underhanded comments from a Captain. You're supposed to be someone we respect and honestly I'm having trouble with an attitude like that.

Oh it was already resolved, Pad and I where just discussing some logistics and moral responsibility of the captaincy coming or not coming for the lower ranking shinigami that where taken.
