Rainpaw
[The young tom that is Rainpaw padded in after his clan. He stumbled in and rapidly began looking for his mate and best friend. Where was she? Nodding as he finally saw her, he padded on and joined the group, sitting down beside her.] "Hey Sungaze" [He purred, nosing her cheek and looking nervously at the group. The young tom caught sight of Hauntedheart.] "I'll be right back" [He whispered to his mate and stood up, padding to the she-cat.] "Hi momma"

[I padded in after Rabbitpaw and Hauntedheart, carrying the leaf filled with these tiny little seeds. Apparently these were the ones that Rabbitpaw used for his paw, so I had to be really careful with them. I chuckled, Eaglesoar actually carried the apprentice, I didn't think he would. But apparently he wasn't kidding when he offered to help. I looked around for our medicine cat apprentice and finally set my eyes on him and padded up to him.] "Hey Rabbitpaw... Where do ya want these?" [I meowed after I set down the leaf, glancing around.]

[Rabbitpaw nodded slightly, laughing halfheartedly.]
"I'd imagine that. They were saying back at camp that snakes, eagles, foxes, and some other beast thing had attacked the cats at the Gathering. At camp, we were only stuck with fo-"
[A harsh hiss made Rabbitpaw fall silent. His eyes flickered to his crystal-eyed mentor, not showing the discomfort he was actually feeling with the medicine cat's attitude. As she padded away, Rabbitpaw bitterly stuck his tongue out at her. He looked back at Birdpaw.]
"Wond'r what ate her,"
[he murmured, half to himself. Sighing, he nodded slightly, meowing a 'goodbye' to the BreezeClan apprentice. He picked up his raspberry leaves and limped off, heading toward Falconpaw. Without a word, he picked up the goldenrod. Sighing heavily, he padded away, making his way around to the others who had NightClan's herbs....or what was left of it. Once he was finished, he plopped it in front of Hauntedheart. He pursed his lips fror a moment, nodding stoicly.]
"There,"
[he meowed in a monotone voice. His eyes returned to the ground and he sat down, not bothering to stir up any more conversation.]

Pebbleheart “Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble."
_________________________________________________________ [The gathering wasn't what Pebbleheart expected. It was filled! Cats of all kind! Calicos, tabbies and tortoiseshells. This image caused the deputy's green eyes to shimmer and expand as wide as they can. But there was one thing that bothered the she-cat. She couldn't help but know that this wasn't an ordinary gathering. Not a gathering where we can chat with fellow warriors, have a good time under the glowing moon and share news within each clan. No. It is simply a gathering to stay away from the Star Slayer's grasps. Which can possibly happen. In a hour, minute or even a second.]
"Mama, I don't want to talk with the other kits." Shadepaw mewed shyly.[Pebbleheart smiled down at her son and licked his head.] "No one is forcing you, Shadepaw. No one." she purred. [The sight of her son's precious innocence caused her to worry even more. Pebbleheart even accepted the truth that her son's life can be at risk. A risk that she will never forget. Depends if she lives, that is.] _________________________________________________________
"Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.” Moonpaw & Sunpaw We may look alike, but we're different. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ [The twins sat at the edge of the gathering, watching as all clan cats meet with their friends. Not familiar with the others, the twins decided to rely on each other for comfort and companionship.] "Brother, those kits are so...strange." Sunpaw whispered. [Moonpaw nodded.] "Don't be too close with them, okay Sunpaw? Otherwise i'll be jealous.." Moonpaw said. [Sunpaw nodded in agreement.] "As long as you promise the same, brother." Sunpaw repeated. [Moonpaw nodded.] "I agree."
[With their identical appearance, the twins starred at the rest as their tails twined together. Their glowing green eyes searched through the crows, spotting familiar cats from BreezeClan. But most importantly, they were looking for their mentors. Galestar and Frostclaw. They considered them their parents. Although they aren't aware of this, the twins decided to keep it to themselves. But being close to their mentor's presence caused them to...experience the kidhood they've always imagined. xXAnachronIsmEpsIceXx [Lavenderstar's ears twitched slightly as a smooth-as-silk voice spoke her name. The voice made her wince inwardly. Not again. Sighing heavily, her eyes resting on the sleek black SeaClan cat below. She growled slightly. She was hardly in the mood for such actions tonight, with her mind still being on the fight she had had with her daughter two days ago. She casted a sideways glance to Shiftstar before she made any moves against the warrior. Her eyes narrowed angrily and she raised a paw, unsheathing and resheathing her claws in the dim lighting. Her head turned to him once more, whiskers twitching.]
"So you're here again, acting as a disgrace to SeaClan once more, eh Ravenwing?"
[She meowed incredulously, her lips curled into a snarl. She lowered her paw back to the branch she was perched on. Her eyes narrowed dangerously. Such a disrespectful cat; he dared approach her again after the warning she had given hi the last time?! She bent her head closer to Ravenwing so her voice would be inaudible to Shiftstar's ears, her eyes glinting in the moonlight.]
"Listen to me, you useless piece of rubbish. I will give you one chance, and one chance only to get away from the Leaders Tree before I skin you on the spot. Do you got that?"

[Ravenwing couldn't miss the way Lavenderstar sheathed and unsheathed her claws, as if imagining how they would feel when she dug her claws into his pelt.
Ouch, and here I am trying to be nice.
He thought with a disappointed sigh, his beautiful emerald eyes gazing up at the Nightclan leader with a mock disappointed expression.
"Now now, snarling will mar your perfect features darling. There's absolutely no need for violence, I merely came in peace for a friendly greeting."
[He said with a boyish grin, giving the leader a playful wink - which would probably be his death wish, but he didn't really care. Lavenderstar had always been a feisty one, even when she was a deputy, and he liked that attribute about her as it proved how strong and independent she was. As she leaned closer to speak with him, instead of flinching or backing away, the sleek black warrior took the liberty to lean in even closer to her so that he was whispering into her ear. Would she like that? Of course not.]
"My, you just can't keep your paws of me ever since you slapped me last time, right?"

[Griffonsea nodded to Mudnose, shrugging.]"Nothing can be done," she assented. "But thanks."
[Her eyes flicked over to Freezeshadow, and she looked down at her pelt as he spoke. Her expression shifted from slightly sad to a bit frustrated.]
"I know, Freezeshadow, but I figured we're going to be fighting soon anyway," she murmured to him with a soft sigh. "Besides, I feel better knowing that mongrel is dead and he's paid for what happened to Moss-star's body."
[Despite her words, she began to clean her pelt, licking the tangy blood off as best she could. It was difficult because of how thick it was, and soon her face twisted in disgust. She never liked the taste of blood!
Her attention was once again diverted, however, as a little white kitten approached her. She tilted her head, watching it drag its hind legs over.
She's crippled? she thought with shock. She never knew a cripple could survive in the wild-! She'd seen cats with three legs, but only two...?]
"Tell your brother to leave me alone," she said kindly, amusement flickering in her eyes. "I'm sure he starts enough trouble in his own Clan!"

Puresun chirped enthusiastically to Griffonsea's comment, "StarClan knows it!"
She glanced down as Songpaw joined them, smiling at the apprentice kindly, and announced, "Oh, everyone, this is Songpaw. Songpaw, this is...now let me get this straight...Griffonsea, Dragonfire, Freezeshadow, Embergaze, Cherrydrop, and Serpentfang."
[She nodded to each cat in turn, twitching her tail-tip. She purred at Serpentfang's naive reaction to her joke, finding the she-cat's innocence amusing yet admirable. She tilted her head, listening to the conversation with the quiet interest of an observer (while her thoughts began to painfully trail back to her mother...)]

[Guardianvow narrowed his eyes at Griffonsea, twitching his tail agitatedly. He licked Silentpaw's head comfortingly, his expression changing from haughty to compassionate.]
"Don't worry, Silentpaw, I can deal with these mousebrains," he murmured softly. "Where's Shimmerpaw?"
"She's an apprenice?" Griffonsea interrupted in surprise, eyes widening.
Guardianvow shot a look at her that could kill and growled, "Yeah, you got a problem with that, Bloodfur?"
[Griffonsea looked at them as if she was saying "But she's crippled!", and Guardianvow wanted to claw her ears off for looking at Silentpaw that way. He puffed up, ready to defend his sister with a sinister glare when Puresun cut in hastily.]
"It was Silentpaw's decision to become an apprentice," she said cooly, eyes darting from Griffonsea to Guardianvow as if to warn them not to fight-especially not here. "She works as hard as any other apprentice."
Griffonsea recovered from her surprised look and said apologetically, with a bow for added effect, "I apologize, Silentpaw. I should not have said anything."
[Guardianvow glared at her angrily, but sat back down next to Silentpaw, turning away from the other cats to look for Shimmerpaw in moody silence.]
Galestar
[Galestar watched the conversation with his mate and Shiftstar with amusement, purring audibly from his little spot beside them. His attention shifted to Lavenderstar and Ravenwing, who were going at it again.]
"Ravenwing, perhaps you should tend to the she-cats of your own Clan," he said with an exaggerated sigh. "StarClan knows you're pushing the limit here. Run on back to your Clan now before Lavenderstar makes you the first hairless cat in the Clans!"
[His eyes were mischevious but firm. Ravenwing was being very disrespectful to both Lavenderstar and Shiftstar. It should be Shiftstar's duty to reprimand him, but Galestar apparently thought of it first.]
Embergaze
[Embergaze watched the conversation with embarrassed silence. Puresun had ruffled his feathers, so to speak, and he was still reeling from the joke. Of course, it didn't insult him, but it made him so flustered that he couldn't find a voice to talk.
He nodded to Songpaw, fiery eyes blinking with kindness, and then glanced around, frowning to himself.]
"Hey, uh, guys," he murmured in his deep voice, "w-weren't we supposed to be silent?"
[He twitched his tail nervously, looking at the other cats. They were already making a lot of noise-the Slayers could probably hear them-!]

[[The former queen smiled as cats commented on her kits, telling her they were cute and adorable. It brightened her day as a mother.]"Thank you, Sunbeam."[Rainface said happily. She sat down and set Rosekit down beside her and wrapped her tail around the small kit. Suddenly, Stormkit appeared.]"Stormkit!"[She said with glee, bending down to lick the top of her kits head.]"Now, you two. Stay close to mommy or your other brothers and sisters, alright? I don't want you getting hurt."[She told them in a motherly tone.]

"I will overcome" [Silentpaw caught Griffonsea's look and narrowed her eyes. Stupid SeaClan cat! She hissed slightly and locked eyes with the she-cat. She could see the shock and disbelief in the warrior's eyes. Silentpaw had expected this but it still made her angry.]
"Yes, I'm an apprentice and I am crippled, but I don't care. I'm very proud of who I am!" she told Griffonsea firmly and dared her to say anything more.
[Silentpaw glanced at her brother and nuzzled him softly. She didn't want him to get in trouble just because some cats didn't understand. She shot Puresun a grateful look, thankful she had stepped in before Guardianvow did or said something. The she-cat ognored Griffonsea's apology and turned away from her, not wanting anything to do with the SeaClan warrior. She glanced up at her brother and shrugged.]
I haven't seen Shimmerpaw yet, maybe she with some other cats," she told her brother calmly, glancing around for her friend.Hauntedheart
"I'm dieing on the inside" [Hauntedheart glanced toward Rainpaw as he approuched and tried her best to smile. She gently licked the top of her adopted son's head and purred slightly. It felt good to have the young tom near, even if he wasn't his real son.]
"Hello Rainpaw, how are you?" she greeted softly, trying to hide her frustration.
[The medicine cat glanced around the clearing once again, not wanting to miss StormClan's arrival. She just wanted to see her, just once. She glanced down at Rainpaw before turning her gaze up to the sky. She let out a sigh and flicked her tail. She glanced down as Rabbitpaw sat in front of her and simply nodded. She didn't say a word to her apprentice and turned her gaze back up to the sky.]Stormkit
"As violent as a storm, as peaceful as drop of rain" "Mom!" Stormkit cried as his mother licked his head.
[The gray kitten shook his head and backed up a step. He glanced up at his mother and sighed. He never liked it when his mother licked him or tried to clean him nowadays. He was older now and could clean his own pelt. He slowly nodded at his mother's rule before glancing around the clearing. He spotted a few familiar cats from SeaClan but a familiar black pelt stood out to him. Stormkit pricked his ears and smiled.]
"Ravenwing!" he mewed happily.
[Stormkit quickly rushed past his mother and darted in between cats until he was at the black tom's side. Out of all the warriors in SeaClan, Stormkit admired Ravenwing the most. The little kit couldn't help but look up to the tom and admire him. He glanced up at the other three cats and immediatly noticed Shiftstar. The other two weren't as familiar but they seemed to be important. One of them, a black she-cat with lavender eyes, seemed to be livid with anger and annoyance, which seemed to be directed at Ravenwing. Confused, the kit tilted his head slightly and stared up at Ravenwing, wondering what was going on.]

[Rainpaw grinned up at his adopted mother and purred.] "I'm good. Good. Where did you go?" [He asked innocently. He was merely a son wondering why his mother disappeared.] "I mean... Did you just leave to get herbs?" [Rainapw added to his question. Recalling the things he had seen her carrying when she came back. He shrugged and looked at Hauntedheart again] "I mean. Ya don't have to tell me. I'm just glad you're home now." [Rainapw added, his tail swishing back and forth]

[I nodded as Rabbitpaw took the herbs and looked around. Were Stormclan not here yet? I sighed, I had hoped to catch a glimpse of Featherheart and Skywisker. I wanted to be sure that they were okay. Featherheart especially, she had lost a friend the last time I had seen her. I looked around for some group to join, because Starclan knew I didn't want to be alone right now. But, everyone else seemed to be busy. SO I settled down, curling my tail around my paws and waited. Wondering how this gathering would go. It was unlike any other.]

[Lavenderstar's eyes grew wide as Ravenwing went on mockingly. She bit her lip, breathing deeply. If she ignored him, then he would leave her alone. She counted to three a few times, closing her eyes. Yes; it would be bad for NightClan's image if she freaked out here and now.
A sudden whisper in her ear made Lavenderstar's eyes snap open in shock. He....had he just said that? Her look sheer disbelief turned into distinct rage at his last sentence. All of the reasons she had decided not to attack him before flew out of her head. She let out a furoius snarl, her paw quickly travelling toward Ravenwing's face. She stopped short at a sudden high-pitched voice calling out the loathed tom's name. She let her paw hang in the air as she stared quietly at Stormkit. Something clicked in her head. Right. She hadn't wanted to attack Ravenwing during such a situation, especially since every cat in every Clan would be there to witness it. She pursed her lips for a moment, still staring at Ravenwing for a moment. Doing so was pretty much worth it though. She let out an angry snort, boxing Ravenwing hard over the ear. She sat upright, glaring at him.]
"Get out of my sight before I reconsider Galestar's idea,"
[she snapped.]
[ooc:] @Timber: Ya know, I've always wondered what it would be like to put a sphynx into play. It seems like an interesting idea, strangely enough.
M U D N O S E
[Mudnose nodded slightly, flicking her ears as a new voice caught her attention. Her gaze rested on Freezeshadow, and she tilted her head curiously. He seemed....familiar. When she heard Griffonsea mention the name 'Freezeshadow', a mocking smile crossed her face. She straightened her posture, her tail curing around her paws.]
"Hmm...Frozenshade, haven't seen you in quite a while, it seems,"
[she purred siliky. She rasped her tongue across her chest and held a 'friendly' smile for the tom. Yes, the last time she had seen him had been a few moons ago, when he had confronted her when NightClan had requested assistance from SeaClan's medicine cat, Cloudytooth, or something like that. Of course, she had ended up making her broken rib worse during the whole 'shameel', after bouncing around the trees. She laughed quietly. Good times, good times indeed.]
[ooc:] Before you ask, yes, she is awful at remembering names; that explains Freezeshadow and Cloudfang's messed-up names. =P
And yeah, she's remerring to the whole affair with Hauntedheart almost getting killed by foxes, in case you don't remember.

Freezeshadow [Freezeshadow couldn't help but let out a quiet purr of amusement for his sister's frustrated character. He nodded as he saw her taking his advice and cleaning herself up. His theory was right as he heard Guardianvow calling his sister 'Bloodfur'.] His anger is quite annoying. I wonder how Nightclan is able to put up with it. [Freezeshadow noted, flexing his claws once again. His dark forest gaze dropped down to the small white kit known as Silentpaw. He couldn't see a similarity on the outside, but they were very alike in personality!] "You must be so proud...so full of yourself for accepting an apprentice title in your current state." [Freezeshadow meowed sarcastically, his tail swishing from side to side.. He turned back to his sister and decided he would clean her up a bit. As he licked Griffonsea behind the ear he whispered.] "Yes, I know we will probably be in a fight soon. But you see, other clans will mock you just as you appear rather then personality."[The gray warrior was glad as well that Moss-star's killer was gone, but he still felt hollow that nothing would ever be the same with her here.]
[He suddenly stopped when he heard a familiar mocking meow. His emerald gaze darkened as he spotted Mudnose.] "Ah, yes. Dirtsnout. That is your name right. As mine is Frozenshade." [Freezeshadow replied in that same sarcastic tone. He knew the siamese's name, it was Mudnose. But he would decide to play the nightclan warrior's game as well.] Siegepaw [The beige apprentice was getting bored of waiting. When was the fighting gonna start? Siegepaw decided to occupy himself by talking to some of the other apprentices himself!] I should get Shadepaw to come too! [Siegepaw thought happily, sniffing around for his brother's familiar scent. It was pretty easy, especially since he was with Pebbleheart their scent stood out the strongest to him. He nudged the gray tome playfully on the shoulder.] "Hey, Shadepaw! How 'bout we talk to some apprentices to pass the time, lets go talk to him!" [Siegepaw pointed with his tail to Rainpaw. He could already tell by his scent that he was one hundred percent Nightclan!] So that's what Nightclan smells like....! [Siegepaw never smelled these other cat scents before. It was all a big surprise to him. Usually he would try and sneak out to explore more of the Breezeclan territory a bit, maybe even more! But he was always caught by either his mother or father.] Hauntednight [Hauntednight watched as his son, Siegepaw padded over to his mate and other son. He sighed. The black tom was a bit shy to confront his mate. They seemed distant for some reason...and he did not want to bother her if she was busy. Hauntednight just turned his gaze to the crowd, watching the other cats share tongues.] At least we're not fighting yet...that means we are still safe. [Hauntednight tried to cheer himself up, he grumbled in frustration. It wasn't working. How did Snowcherry usually cheer herself up?] Ugh...it is so complicated, sis.... [He thought silently, his amber gaze resting on her tortoise-shell figure. ((I thought what Mudnose said was funny XD That post made me laugh and Lavenderstar made me feel scared. I was picturing what would happen if I were Ravenwing!))

He was currently comfortable in his mother's presence.] "U-Uhm Siegekit, I don't--" Pebbleheart used her snout to push him gently towards her other son. "Go on, meet the others." she purred. [Shadepaw knew he was going to be forced one way or another, so he decided to listen to his mother's orders. But before he left, he turned around and licked her nose.] "Stay here, okay?" he ordered with a frown. [Pebbleheart chuckled and nodded, her bright green eyes shimmering.] "Okay okay, you go on now." she purred.
[Off the kits went, enjoying the gathering. A gathering that could possibly result in blood shed. The sight of Siegekit could mean one thing. Hauntednight. He was probably somewhere closeby. [Sungaze quickly licked Rainpaw's ear before he left to find his mother. That tom was so close to Hauntedheart even though they weren't even related, that's so adorable. The golden tabby looked at her friends and purred, she felt loved.] "Awe, I wish I had a mate like Rainpaw. You guys are perfect for each other." [Foxpaw squeaked with excitement.] "Oh, why thank you Foxpaw. I love that tom." [She said as she hoped for him to join her again.] Rosekit
[Rosekit listened to the she-cat as she spoke to her mother. Suddenly her brother appeared and then disappeared. She saw that he joined Ravenwing and other cats.] "Momma, why would we get hurt?" [She asked, how could anything hurt her while so many other cats were around? That would be impossible, these cats were strong.] "Momma, who would hurt us?" [The little kit asked. Rosekit was known for asking too many questions. Even if you told her the answer twice, she would still question you.] [ooc;] I just noticed that Guardianvow, Silentpaw, and Sungaze aren't very close. Well Guardianvow and Silentpaw are, but not Sungaze. Awe, poor little kitty.

Rosekit, go find your brother and stay with him and Ravenwing until I come back for you. I think I can trust that annoying and, "handsome" tom for once. If he does anything stupid, just call him an idiot and You'll be alright."[Rainface smiled down on Rosekit, then walked over to someone who had Nightclan scent, Rainpaw.]"Hi, I'm Rainface of Seaclan. Uh, I know a few of the cats from your clan and I can't seem to find them. Would you mind telling me where they are, please?"[She said sweetly to the apprentice, who kind of reminded her of Shatteredfang.]

[When Mudnose pointed out that it was just a joke the wildcat slyly averted her eyes and gave her a sheepish grin.] "Oh, Serpentfang sees now." [Trying not to not shrink away she distracted herself by playing with the tip of her tail as it twitched and danced. In the distance she could hear Moonpaw and Sunpaw talking. It sounded like hey were just as shy as she was. She looked over to them and gave them an encouraging smile.]
At least Serpentfang knows she is not the only one...
[Sitting silently as Puresun continued to greet and introduce everyone Serpentfang listened to the surrounding conversations. Most every one of them expressed their deep concerns of the possibility of a slayer attack.]
Do we have a plan in case this gathering is attacked as well? There are so many cats here, so many lives... If they cant see or hear us they will definitely smell us.
[Not being able to contain her worry she stood up.] "Pardon Serpentfang for a moment, she is going to be back in a little bit." [Silently she slipped away and waded through the crowed of cats, with a melody of "pardon Serpentfang, excuse Serpentfang, sorry" until she made it to Pebbleheart's side.
"Pardon Serpentfang Pebleheart, but do you know what we should do if this gathering is like the last? Serpentfang is worried about how many cats there are in one place. Do have an odd feeling about this too?"

[Dragonfire looked down suddenly as she heard another voice (Silentpaw) demand she stop. With an annoyed expression she whipped around to see no one. Confused she looked around until she finally looked down to see an apprentice sized, white she cat dragging herself around and glaring up at her. Her expression changed as she looked at the cat with awe and lowered her self to look the smaller she cat right in the eyes.]
"And who are you mate? Never seen you around before. Quite the fighter you are! Im impressed! I was only having a bit o' fun is all, didn't mean him any harm. What is your name?"
[Hearing that she was an apprentice the gladiator grinned. Who ever was her mentor had their work cut out for with such a determined apprentice! To Dragonfire there was no such thing as a handicap, if you could move you could fight and should do so. That was the way she was raised after all. The possibility that other cats would try to keep the small, white apprentice out of a fight never seemed to cross the gladiator's mind.]
