XXXXXXXDUCKYLittle brown duck on the northern lake
Where is your mother, it's getting late.
Says harvest moon o'er the lapping waves,My friend fly south or end your days. Oh silver moon, it's here I stay, For I need my mother to show me the way.
Where can she be, I do not know,
I'm so alone and miss her so.   ['He said us! and we! He won't kill me! Were buddies now!' Ducky purred, her pelt glowing with satisfaction, with her new 'partner' that she'd made.]
[Suddenly, Her stomach growled, not held over by a couple of worms. She curiously sniffed the mouse, her ears pricked with excitement. 'Looks like a fluffy thing. Minus.. the Fluffy tail.... Awesome!' She dug into the mouse eagerly next to the small cat, her tail swinging wildly with happiness.]
['Yum' She thought, her face full of delight, and her muzzle covered with blood, as she paused for a breathe. 'What a nice cat!']
[She looked the tom in the eye and gushing sincerity and joy, squeaked a quick,] "Thank you!" [And returned to her meal eagerly, munching on the soft, non slimy, mouse.] [Omgoodness! I have... Freakin MEXICAN JUMPING BEANS! found out they have lil' bugs inside of them X3 Oh so awesome.]
The owl flies o'er with a who and a who,
Have I a sad tale to tell to you.
Your mother a sorry fate did meet,
She's fallen to the foxes teeth.
Then let me freeze says the shivering bird,
I cannot bear another word.
For all the other ducks have flown
And my sorrow is a heavy stone.

[Shatteredfang gazed at Hauntedheat, shocked. She knew that Darkshadow was the father? She bowed, ignoring the bewildered feeling.] "Thank you, Hauntedheart," she purred. [She looked down at her belly, a sudden protectiveness enveloping her. She had four lives to care for now.
Her eyes searched for Darkshadow. She felt he should be here too.]

I'm talking to you.
Across the water.
Across the deep, blue, ocean.
Under the open sky.
Oh my, oh baby I'm trying. "I'm over here, love."[Darkshadow said. He walked up to Shatteredfang and stood next to her. He looked at Birchshadows lifeless body. Sorrow in his eyes.]"She's going to be missed. But I know she's in a better place. One where she could roam free. without twolegs, or fox traps." I hear you, in my dreams.
I feel your whisper, across the sea.
I keep you with me, in my heart.

[Shatteredfang nodded sadly.] "I remember when she became an apprentice. I had begged Fathom to let me mentor her," she meowed, looking down. "He had given me Cinderwing instead, though." She smiled slightly, also remembering how excited Cinderwing was to have her for a mentor. She sighed, looking up at the tom. It slightly aggravated her that he was taller than her. Ignoring that, she whispered, "I wish you could have known her better. She had been like a sister to me."

[Eaglesoar thought as he watched the kits with a pitiful look in his eyes, casting a glance over these two bags of nothing but skin and bones. Without thinking twice he had just promised them a place in Nightclan, which he hoped Lavenderrain would say yes.]
Though with the recent issues, she's probably cranky and Starclan knows what.
[He thought as he took a deep breath, before speaking to the two kits,]
"Guys, I'm very sorry, but I'll have to..."
[Without finishing his sentence, he swiftly picked up the ginger she-cat (Ducky) as though she weighed nothing, and slung her over his back. He turned around and grabbed the gray tom (Smoke) in his jaws, holding him by the scruff.]
"Showwy guysh, ut ish kicker ish ay." (Sorry guys, but it's quicker this way.)
[He meowed through the gray tom's scruff as he swiftly made his way back to camp, praying to Starclan that Lavenderrain was not going to throw a fit when she sees Eaglesoar with two stray kits.] --------------------------------------------------x x x "xxsoaring through the sky

BONES [Bones walked around the unfamiliar territory. He could smell cats.]"The more cats, the more I kill."[He said, flexing his claws which were reinforced with dogs teeth. He looked around, no one in sight.]"How could there be no one around when the scent is fresh?"[He said, getting frustrated by the minute.]"I'll wait for someone to come along, then I get them."[Bones hid in the bushes, looking around for anyone walking by.]

BONES [Bones looked around again. This time noticing a dark gray tabby tom. He jumped out of the bush and took him down.]"Hello, say hi to the others in Starclan for me, got that?"[Bones took a fox trap and made it snap shut on one of his front paws. Bones then unsheathed his claws and gave Darkshadow a good scratch across the flank. He ran off to find another trap. When he found two he snapped one shut on his muzzle and the other on his back leg. After all that, Bone ran off towards the boarder.]

Oh my, oh baby I'm trying. "No!"[Darkshadow managed to make out before falling.]"He trapped me by the paw, I could get out of this. Just do it. Don;t worry about yourself you old hag! Worry about Shatteredfang and the kits!"[Darkshadow thought to himself. He saw a stick a mouse length away. He attempted to pick it up with his tail. Which moved it a little. Darkshadow knew he couldn't pick it up on his own. Not with One of his front paws and one of his back legs stuck in a fox trap. The best he could to was yowl, even though his muzzle was clamped shut.]"Mhmmm! Mhmm! Mhhm!"[He yowled as loud as he could.] I hear you, in my dreams.

Foxfur
[Foxfur watched Darkshadow pad off with a slight tinge of worry in his eyes. Birchshadow had just died from a fox trap, what if the same thing happened to the Tom? He had no love for the prisoner, but Darkshadow was going to be a father. Foxfur knew what it was like to grow up without a dad, and he didn't want Darkshadow's kits to be the same. He padded slowly after him, eyes going wide in shock when he saw Darkshadow. He spat at the retreating form of the attacker]
"You filthy piece of foxdung! Come back and I'll kill you!" Foxfur yelled.
[He looked down at Darkshadow anxiously]
"Are you alright?! Hold on! I'll go get Hauntedheart!"
[Foxfur turned and bounded away back into camp]
"Hauntedheart! It's Darkshadow! Some rogue got him all caught up in foxtraps! I know you're sitting vigil for Birchshadow, but I won't let him die!"
[Out of breath, he turned once again, and ran back to Darkshadow]

[Shatteredfang gasped at Foxfur's news, anger prickling her pelt.] "No!" she yowled involuntarily, springing up to dash after him. [Suspicion pricked her pelt though. What if a rogue hadn't done such a terrible thing to her mate? Why wouldn't he have?
She dashed over to Darkshadow, taking a stick that was lying by the tom's tail. She set to work on the trap on his muzzle. It wouldn't spring, though! She hissed furiously, trying once more. It still wouldn't budge!]
