the seventh seal Rikaru Nostalgia to an extent. sad Why is nostalgia so bad?I spent too much of my short immature life being nostalgic, consequently not enjoying the present. I really regret that, so I've been trying not to be nostalgic and just love where I am, or look forward instead of backwards if I don't. smile I think nostalgia [with the implication of "longing"] is, like, pointless unless you can look back and not actually desire it, but just reflect over it and go, "Yeah, I had a good time."

Nostalgia is one of the feelings I enjoy more. There's little longing usually 'cause I'm feeling the same way I once was, for whatever be the reason. It's there sometimes, of course, but not to the point where I'd feel sad that I couldn't have it, y'know? Much of the time I'm not quite sure why the feeling is there, either, and simply pondering on that is somewhat enjoyable.

I'm thinking I don't like the musician's forum. I want to like it, but I don't. crying
It's like... "What's your favorite instrument?" and "How long have you played?" but it doesn't get much more in depth than that...
Even for composers, it's simply, "Do you compose?" and not, "Show off your compositions!" or "Do you write down the notes first or spontaneously record things?" or something of the sort. [I am #2, for the record]
It's rather slow moving and I've yet to see much discussion. sad
You know, something cooler, like, "How would YOU interpret the dynamics to this song?" [ever changed a song's entire mood by phrasing it different] or "Your preference: solo or group performances?" [the power + control of being a soloist VS the musical connection in a group] and "So what'll it be for you; a song where you can slam the hell out of your instrument, or a calm song that sounds pretty, etc...?" [controlled VS unrestrained self expression]
Maybe it's just me, but a lot of the musician discussions aren't... well, I don't find them intellectually stimulating... I guess the things that matter to me don't matter as much to other people neutral
G'damn, I'm in such a bitchy mood tonight...

It requires too much hand eye coordination, so you get less smelly 14 year olds around you. And it doesn't look as impressive, so you get less of those smelly teens trying to hit on you.

Setzer, when you play DDR, d'you actually look like you're dancing? Most people I've seen do, but last weekend in the mall there was this kid doing rather well on some kinda advanced level, but he wasn't... "dancing." Just makes me curious.

My life seemed sort of upside down, Until she stepped in and turned it right around.
I dunno what I'm thinking... I guess I'm not. I guess I can't. Sweet euphoria has payed me a visit, and it's natural.

seventh- DDR I'll play at arcades. I'll play and get smelly at home, with workout mode, where I have a shower I can use when I'm done. Beatmania is arcade only.
Rikaru- Depends. If I play single mode (using 1 pad), then I'll typically either goof around on easy or move insane fast on hard mode. 1 pad isn't enough room to really "dance" If I have the cash, I'll put it on double mode (both pads at once). Typically, that'll look closer to dancing. Nothing I'd take to a club, but it looks semi graceful on some songs at least.

They actually have a workout mode? Forget Tae Bo, DDR, homiez. I don't sweat alot when I work out. Sometimes after basketball practice or games I don't even feel like I need to take a shower. I always do though, for the sake of feeling and hopefully being fresh.
