Ever glared up at Ares, her chest heaving up and down from breathing so heavily in anger. Her red, furious eyes met his smoldering ones. He was pissing her off even more now. But she couldn't even try to move her wrists. His grip was far too strong.
So, she started bucking her hips and moving her legs to try and get free. "a*****e! Let me loose! Right now! I KNEW you were only after the Room and the... Relic I guess, and knew I had to get them!"

Ares growled ferally at Evermore. "I do not just want the goddamn Room or Relic, Evermore!" His voice boomed easily, though it would not leave this room. "I want you!"

Ever gasped and paused in her movements briefly at Ares' last words. Had he perfected that look and that voice over the past millenia? It pissed her off because it always caught her off guard and made her heart beat faster!
She glared up at Ares and hissed, "How do I know that?! How do I know that you just wouldn't up and leave as soon as you found what you need to win your goddamn war?!"

"Do you think I planned this shitfest?!" he demanded. "Do you honestly think I planned on getting involved like this? Do you have such a low opinion that you think I would use people like this for my own purposes?"

She nodded her head. "It's a war! Of COURSE I think you planned on getting involved like this! It's who you are!"

Ares growled. "For war, yes! But--Evermore, no matter what I may be, what wrongs I may do, I would not use a woman to deal with war!"

Ever arched her eyebrow at Ares and gave him a 'get real' look. "Ares, I've heard about you. A common saying in reference to you is, 'what WOULDN'T Ares do for war'."

Ares growled at her. "I don't get involved romantically, Evermore! Not for war!" He didn't censor what he was saying, didn't care at this point.

Ever completely stopped struggling at Ares' words and looked up at him in surprise. Her hair was immediately changing back to black, and her eyes were going back to blue.
"Rr---romance? What the hell are you talking about Ares?" Her voice was very soft. Romance, that was very dangerous territory.

Ares' eyes widened when he realized what he'd said, but he sighed and let his head hang. "...Yes."

Ares moved off of Evermore, sitting on the edge of the bed with his elbows on his knees and head just hanging. "I know. I..." What could he say?

Ever sat up in bed and sighed as she looked at him with a dejected slump in his shoulders. She didn't know what to say. Romance was just.... romance was sticky. She wasn't ready for it, she didn't think. But she didn't want to chase Ares away, just in case what he did say was true and he'd turn out to be a very good boyfriend.
She couldn't talk with him about this now. She wasn't ready. But she hated seeing him like this. He needed to just let it go for now, stop thinking about it.
Smirking slightly, Ever scooted over even closer to Ares and got into a kneeling position. Then, she leaned over and crushed her lips against Ares'.

Ares was surprised. He hadn't expected this. But the moment of shock did not last long, soon he pulled her to him, into his lap, and his armor, which had come for show, disappeared once more. Desperate for something--he didn't really know or care what--he held her close and his tongue ventured out to deepen the kiss.

Ever gasped softly as Ares armor vanished and his leather returned. She could move closer to him now, which she did. She scooted forward on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. She spoke lowly against his lips.
"Thank the gods... I like you in your leather so much better..."
She moved one over her hands down to rest on his chest where the vest made a V-dip.
