Wait so people are complaining about a fictional characters from the late 30s and a movie based on that character from 1964 and are applying it to the rules of today in terms of bullying? At that time segregation was still ending and no one gave a damn about a kid being bullied.
And really who in the hell is getting a message to bully others from this? I've been watching this for years, in fact I've seen it every single Christmas for as long as memory serves (I even have it on VHS from the 80s), and after watching it I did not get the certain urge to go out and find the kid that's different and set him apart.
Besides kids would have been doing that long before watching that. Kids are pricks, they are kids and though they should know better they don't have that maturity yet. If anything it's the adults who should set better examples.
All of that aside Disney is not that uptight or that squeaky clean. Their people, smoke, drink, curse, cheat, lie, and heaven's knows what else. Their main concern is that you keep it family friendly when it comes time to be. Really you have something that had Donald Duck as a nazi in a nightmare sequence, and they did Song of the South which they struggle to keep buried. All in all Disney isn't perfect nor 24/7 kid friendly and they wouldn't judge a person for not being so.

It's like people bitching because cereal that is loaded with sugar is being marketed to kids. I know, mom made me remove it though because of her little fit. -sigh- I'm expected to keep my posts clean, have only people I know as friends in real life, and no swear posts at all. :/

Does she know how many kids curse? Some use terms I didn't even know of until I looked it up. I see it this way one little f-bomb in a private facebook post is nothing. We have parents dressing their daughters up like Dolly Parton with huge fake breasts or hooker Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman for that Toddlers in Tiaras show.

Yeah we live in an area of our city where 90% of conversations in school and around town have at least one curse. My sewing teacher has started a swear jar where every curse you owe her a dollar that will be used towards something. xD Not 5 seconds after she explained that we had 5 dollars in the jar.
-sigh- She's just... strict on that, but let my stepfather post photos from our vacation last year where at the one place we went to eat gave you hats that looked like used condoms with rude sayings on them.

Okay... I usually love my history class, but today just was a WTF moment for sure.
We were talking about Lee's surrender and our teacher asked us if it was a good thing that Grant gave that chance to Lee. I was the ONLY person that said that a peaceful end to the war was better and had to defend my point against a jackass that I honestly don't get along with to start with. (Our personalities clash sharply)
He was like... Who would lead them if they were crushed? I was like they would find a person to lead them, and that a peaceful ending prevented most of the harsh feelings.
The debate went on for like 10 minutes and he only had 2 points while I had several and STILL thought he was right.

Well now, I just saw something of an RP Ad so far against the rules I might be breaking them just for pointing it out. In another guild someone pitched a horrible possible 1x1 or 3 player RP about child sexual abuse. I used to think all the yaoi rps were stretching a bit too far before but...
Well lets just let that sink in.
That person should be ashamed.

Okay you'll have to give me the full details of that one. Sort of a word by word for that RP because I'm really getting a bad image of that one. Is it about sexually abusing children or about children who has been sexually abused?
That sort of reminds me of an artist who says she's not a ***** but loves drawing pics of mainly shouta yaoi or young girls who looks like little boys. She was even seen 'messing' with underaged boys. So I get the feeling if she wasn't a ***** she's well on her way into becoming one.

Quote: Harrison's desire to protect his little brother, Zachary goes far enough to be willing to take all abuse from his non biological father, which is mostly verbal and sexual. He does keep his little brother successfully safe from all the abuse, but he still keeps a very close eye on Zach. I'm willing to play whichever character, but if it's a threeway RP I want to be the father or Harrison. I likes yaoi...If it's 1X1 then I'd love to be Zach, but I don't need to be. I'm happy with whatever. Any details can be changed if you want them to be, just let me know. If you want to do this 1X1 then PM me. That was the entirety of the ad minus links since the topic was locked. The links were just Zerochan pics of the characters and the boys rooms. Where the ad was is probably fairly demure but it probably should have been deleted rather than locked. That guild isn't active enough as of late to make it drift down the page.

Yikes, that sounds so far against the ToS... -shivers- It almost sounds like this one person in Barton OOC who wants a master/slave roleplay and to be the slave with this as one of the character pictures they might use. There were others that looked way too young to even pass as above 12 years old.

Yikes. Just yikes.
I can see the attempt at depth with this but otherwise the thing that ruined it for me was the 'I likes yaoi'. This could have been something rather serious and touching with the bonds of brotherhood but no, it seems lost with that one part.
That person made me think that she really like yaoi, shotacon, false incest, and I get the feeling that eventually it will become true incest.
It's like within a week or two you'll get a PM from this person saying "Zachary is in love with his brother and he wants to do x and x and x with him. So have him x him after the father x him."
As for that pic are they suppose to be a kid or one of those 'teens' who looks like a little boy? That's a peeve of mine justifying the adult actions of your child character by saying they are actually older than they look.

Bern, the picture was labeled Young Link so I think it would be a young character. OTL

Yeah, I tried to keep out of this conversation.... knowing how easily I would blow up with this... but yeah, in my opinion this person did cross the line. It's just down wrong inexcusable. -_-* And yeah, I have plenty of child-aged characters, the way they think is rather mature in that they're more intelligent than what people take them for. But they're still kids. The only I've let them do that was adult was kill. And there's plenty of murderers that were children. Youngest so far I've known is 8. O.O"

I didn't see a label to the link name. Still disturbing. Really Link looks like a little bo...girl already why make him any younger?
