Lorey knew they were waiting, but couldn't help but envy the other two. Still, she laughed and gave him a light shove towards his room. He did look so, so tired.
"You go take that shower. I'll be around and meet up for that nap."
though, she guessed they would be the only people sleeping in the house.

Richard took a quick shower, slightly enjoying the modern shower while he could. Their home on Druis had a nice shower, but it was simple and country. Jut fine with him. But who said he couldn't enjoy the luxuries of Damian's Veratia homestead while he could?
Once he was done and dried off, Richard came to crawl into bed with his love, for a much more...innocent time.

Some time later, Raquel found her self next to Damian, breathing heavily yet softly, eyes closed, a content, loving smile on her face, one hand on her forehead. "...Did I tell you I loved you?" She asked so softly she doubted he heard her. She wasn't even sure he was still awake.

Damian was awake, though just barely. His eyes had been closed and his breathing was steady, and everything about him seemed serene. At the sound of her voice, his eyes opened again, and beheld her laying next to him.
"Yes. And I know I told you I love you several times." Damian turned over to hold her like they'd been missing out on all those weeks. He was well again, and this was how he wanted to spend his days.

Raquel just recently seemed to want to choke up when he held hr this close. "I missed you..." She whispered, though knew very well he hadn't been anywhere. It was just his holding her and touching her that she missed so dearly. She'd never take it for granted. Never...
She rested her head against his, her free hand running through his hair lovingly. "I'm thinking Druis will be wonderful...if no one knows we're there... no one can hurt us ever again... just the two of us...and of course Richard and Lorey... our little strange family..." She smiled distantly, eyes closed.

"No one will know. We will have our own life, you'll see." Damian sat upright with ease. That he was so thankful for, that ease of motion. Rather slowly, though, he wrapped a thin blanket around her and hoisted her upon his lap so he could hold her close and cradle her. He wasn't sure why he wanted to so badly. But having her there, just like that night on Altru, in his lap and looking lovely... it was right.
"And our strange little family will be happy until we all grow old. And even then, we'll be content, with no regrets. Promise me that, Raquel. If you want something, you must tell me."

Raquel sunk into him, just completely and indescribably at ease. "I told you...I have everything I want right here..." She smiled, nuzzling him softly. "That and the only thing I've wanted out of life... was to feel safe Damian...You've given me that... thank you..." She whispered, letting her hands come out from under the blanket to touch his face and chest gently.
Raquel was always confused when he asked her to ask for anything she wanted. Not only because she felt like she had almost everything she had ever wanted... except one thing...
She still had the idea of children in her head, and she knew she wanted to wait a good while after they were married. How they would have children, She didn't know, but figured they'd figure soemthing out when the time came.

That made him smile. She just wanted to be safe, and he had given her that... What a thought that what she needed couldn't be bought.
"I've done everything I can to make you safe, darling, and will continue doing so. We may not be legally married, but you have me in just the same way you will for the rest of our lives."
Her hand upon his chest felt gentle and small. Damian knew how strong she was, though, and wasn't fooled for a moment by her beautiful graces. It didn't stop him from being intoxicated by them, though.

Raquel smiled up at him. "And I you..." She added just staring up into his silver eyes. Right now they seemed so soft. so kind and welcoming...
She had seen them when they were sharp and fierce, when they were tired and worried, when they were playful and naughty... but right now... these were her favorites. It was a completely different Damian. One she felt only she knew... and she loved it.
"...I promise... right here and now... I will never leave. I will be by your side when you go to sleep, and when you wake up. I'll learn to control my Amaranthine side completely. I'll support and love you until the very last moment i draw breath in this universe..." Her eyes were serious yet so deep as she looked into his. It was as if she were giving her own marriage vows before they were even wed.

Damian felt as if they were marrying themselves as well.
"And I promise to always be there when you fall asleep and wake up, unless you go and conk out before I do in some armchair. Some things can't be helped you know," he said as he playfully poked her nose.
"I promise to always be here when you need me, and when you feel like you don't need my help anyhow, and when you know you don't need my help and wish I'd just bugger off. I promise to learn how to fix doors, and windows, and how to get in the dirt and grime without cringing. And I promise, upon my heart and soul, to learn how to clean and do my own laundry."
Very, very big things for a Centurion to say to anyone, regardless of being married or not.

Raquel laughed despite knowing he was serious. She just shook her head and looked up at him. "Some of those I dont mind helping with..." She smiled, shaking her head. "I was going to say I'd work on being healthier, but I think we can both do that together..." She smiled, leaning up to kiss his chin softly.
Meanwhile, Richard did get a chance to sleep, though was now annoyingly awake, thinking about their own wedding. "Lorey dear...?" He called out softly, wondering if she were awake.

"And by healthier, you mean for me to grow fatter. I've been working on that, look!" He took her hand and pressed it to his ribs in the hopes she might see that he put on some kind of weight, though was really just back to where he'd been before the attack.
"Mm?" Lorey had taken her nap almost the moment he was in bed with her, so she wasn't too miffed about being woken up. She turned over to look at him with questioning eyes. "Something wrong?"

Raquel smiled shaking her head. "I mean the both of us." She sighed though did notice he was looking healthier himself. Though with her hand on his stomach, it was too much of a temptation. She found herself off in a tickle attack, letting her tiny fingers run across his pale stomach, a devilish grin on her face.
"Ah...nothing wrong really... I'm just... trying to work this out in my head. Teagan said she has the flowers ready,, she just has to cut and arrange them... And, oh- I mean to ask you. I met someone up in Druis, I think I told you about him. He's really helped me out these last few weeks, and I was wondering...if he could be in the wedding?" He asked, glancing over to her. It was almost cute how he was so worried about the wedding, probably more so than Lorey. "I mean, Enty is my best man, and I'm not sure how you wanted to do the bridesmaids thing... Thats up to you. Though.. did you ask Damian if he'd give you away yet?" He asked, turning over to look at her.

Damian found himself spazzing and desperately trying to wrap her up tight in the blanket so she couldn't move or touch him. It was a fight to the finish in sheets and failed tactics until he grabbed her wrists and stopped her from making her terrible attack.
"None... of... that," he breathed, though his eyes had the playful light back in them that they'd been lacking for so long.
Lorey cocked an eyebrow at Richard. She knew they were short on guests and others, but a stranger in her wedding?
"what would he do?" she asked. "And what about your mother, is she coming? And... no, I haven't asked. There hasn't been a good time to, with him being so sick and all."
Lorey turned on her side and propped herself up on her elbow. This wedding was really going to take more planning than she had thought.

Raquel was laughing as well, still giggling as he grabbed her wrists, the blanket falling from her shoulders. "I missed your laugh..." She managed to breath out, still smiling like crazy as she just sat on him. "And the ways your eyes light up..." She pushed some of his mused hair from his face, her giggles still dissipating.
"He'd just be a groomsman. An emergency escort in case we have an extra bridesmaid. I've grown kind of close to him while I was gone, and the poor chap... He's really a good guy. Apparently the love of his life is engaged to another man, so he's trying to get away form it all. He didn't have a place to stay or any money, so I let him stay in the guest room in exchange for some work for me. Which I was very thankful for. Somethings needed a LOT of work.." He sighed though gave Lorey a look, hoping she was ok with it. "That and I think he maybe a little interested in Teagan. You should see how they look at each other..." He laughed a little, trying to warm her up to the idea.
"As for my mother, yes she's coming. I gave her a call, and she wanted to go with you dress shopping." He laughed, turning a little red, embarassed to relay such a message. "Maybe you could go get the girly things done out with her and Raquel...and I'll swallow my pride and have Damian help me pick out a tux..." He smiled in his awkwardly charming way as he too propped himself up.

"When you come at me with those quick little fingers? You love torture, you twisted little thing. Seeing me squirm and writhe."
Which was when he took his chance to tickle her sides and stomach while her guard was down. Revenge, in this case, at least, was so sweet.
Lorey rolled her eyes at the mention of this strange man liking Teagan. Lorey was planning on asking her to be in the wedding as well, so why not pair her with this man? Or perhaps something else would work out. Who knew?
"Yes, my girly things... my dress. I don't even know what I want! Richard, we're in trouble if we don't figure this out, eh?"
But in the meantime, she leaned forward and kissed him. Richard was a dream come true with all that he was doing while she had worked.
"I love you. You and all the hard work that gave you that tan... It suits you very well."
