Their boots slid down the rocks and dust curled up around their X-uniforms as the group made it down a cliff and and the cavern bend. The stalagmites and stalagtites jutted up and down through the ceiling and floor. The area around the Xavier Institute portals had heavy cavern stones... Illyana had several land manipulating mutants do this by design. She wanted to 'protect' important portals per say.
Phenix snared her sleeve on a rock as they came to the steepest part of the hill, but that was the beauty if unstable molecules... it regenerated itself. Everybody sighed in relief as they hit the level part of the hill. They weren't able to use Kurt because of the device on him... Forge didn't want to risk having him teleport away to go knows where or teleport home accidentally without them.
"Where is the portal?" Lindsey asked dusting her uniform off. She put her foot on some fallen boulders that started as they rounded the bend that Phenix was talking about.
"Behind these," Phenix's throat gulped unintentionally. She looked at the mountain of rock that had collapsed from the ceiling and walls of the cavern. She would have been under that had she not been pushed through the portal.
Forge was the first to step in and start moving rock. Phenix started to smash rocks with energy she had consumed from Jacen and the teleport. Others started to help move things... which wasn't easy. Kitty stepped in front of them, "Tell me how far back to go. I will be blind without your instructions."
"About ten feet from where we're standing there will be a wall. This is where the portal is.... I trust you will see them if they are there..." Phenix's heart started welling up in her troat as Kitty phased through rock and disappeared.
"We should keep digging in case they are back there and need help," Lindsey said and tried to melt some rock with her nauxious poisons. The others nodded and they started working again. Within ten minutes, Kitty came back through the rock. She looked worried.
"Illyana was able to generate a mystical field with her sword. I can't phase through it. We need to move these rocks or they're not going to make it... they're heavy beyond Piotr's threashold." Kitty started to phase rocks and move them.
Phenix gapped, "That's well over a ton..."
OOC: Let's get working people wink Haha. Oh, and I think it says in the Ultimate X-Men guide he can actually lift over 100 tons, but to me, that's just ludicrous...

ooc: *pokes noko and cloud* i don't mean to be a bother and i know the holidays aren't over yet... but Gen and the other guy are still waiting by the car for lunch... speaking of which I had brick oven pizza. ^^

IC: John got up. "Come on, you, we've got some friends who are waiting on us. John, gut up only to finally notice the clothes, Pietro had dressed him in. "But first I'll be going back in to fix myself up...One day you've got to let me kill the boy Noko," he said with a smile, knowing very well her answer to it. 15 mins. later John came back outside dressed in jeans and a shirt. "Alright lets go. I'm finally ready." he said with a laugh. He tossed the keys to Noko. "Here you drive, me and Icarus will take the backseats and you two can sit up front. He said as he and Icraus jumped in the back of the car.
OOC: Okay, so I was wrong... It was my turn redface Sorry 'bout that.

"Alright, menial labor. My favorite." Jamie sighed and got to work moving the rocks. It certainly was a shame that Piotr was trapped in there instead of out here, because he would've been a huge help. But, if he wasn't in there, they wouldn't be there in the first place. I hate it when I start thinking like that. . .

Matt couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head as he got out of the car. He pulled his coat around him tighter, briefly considering doing it up but then realising that will probably just draw more attention to himself. With a sigh he pushed the door openn and walked in, glaring at everyone and anyone that looked at him.

"Can't you just smash these to bits?" Jamie wiped sweat from his forhead. Phenix wasn't happy either but at least she could smash rocks instead of moving them... although she and Jacen had be careful at how much they smashed.
"Technically I could if I had enough energy saved up... but we also run the risk of causing another cave in..." Phenix had been apprehensive at trying it.
"Well," Jamie asked, "What if you smashed them up and Kitty ran in real fast to phase everybody out... and nobody gets broken..."
"We might as well try," Lindsey stepped back from the rubble they were slowing making their way through, "We're never getting to them in time... so they're going to be dead whether we screw this up or whether we don't get there soon..."
"Way to be blunt," Phenix gave a small smile, "Jacen, do you think Kitty can run through our energy fields?"
"Yea, I think. Adamantium is the only thing that gives her trouble... she may hate us when its over, but that's okay."
"Well, I guess you guys should run around or something because I need energy to feed off of," Phenix needed a good charge of energy that didn't come from Jacen.
"Light is energy... I can help you," Jamie said. Phenix had been gone so long she forgot about Jamie's powers. His ability to amplify light would be enough for Phenix to charge up.
"Okay, Kitty, soon as we start smashing s**t... you need to follow through... Let's do this," Phenix hoped they didn't ******** things up. She didn't want their blood on her hands or any of theirs. Jamie lit up their area with a blinding yellow white light. Phenix fed off of it. Jacen fed off their worries, which were abundant at the moment (and it did help that Lindsey and Kim could slightly make their worries more with a hint of poisons and a hint of confusion), and Kitty went intagible.
BAM BAM SMASH RUMBLE... rock by rock exploded into dust and shards. Kitty ran into the pitch dark dust and yelled when they had gotten far enough. Phenix's hand flopped down by her side as she was tired. Lindsey let her lean on her shoulder. As soon as Illyana dropped the field she grabbed the both of the victims and made a mad dash out of the rumbling cloud. They could hear the crashing sound of more rocks and rubble. Forge yelled for them to run... and they did while a sucking air of dust seized them.
When they finally got into a clear zone, most of the x-men started coughing tremendously. Phenix fell onto her hands and knees trying to suck up clean air. Whoever wanted to kill Illyana did a mighty good job of making sure it worked... they just didn't count on the X-Men stepping into the fray.
"Is everybody okay?" Forge asked. Phenix nodded while coughing. A few of them had some cuts from falling rock. A few of them turned around to see the new slope of rock that stretched from the ceiling and leveled down to their feet. And then Kitty walked out with their two friends on her arms.
