Shun merely nodded back at Poke as she spoke up and wandered on out to get food. This reminded him that he was going to need to buy more supplies in the morning so that they could get back onto the road as soon as possible.
But for now he just grimaced a bit as the doctor treated his wound.
Looking up at the girl who returned to the bar, the man nodded and took the coins.
"Sure thing missy," he said before giving her a tall glass of juice and calling towards the kitchen for some food. Once that was all set, he turned back towards the lady, thinking for a moment.
"Well. A few strange happenings have been said to happen in our neighboring town. Monsters and the like. I don't know much else I could tell ya though."

saying her thanks, she sipped her drink and thought about her next question. He didn't seem to know much, but he did know about the monsters. Would he know about a random assortment of hybrids waltzing around in other parts of town? was it even that unusual to cause gossip?
"I don't suppose you have heard any rumours about a strange group of people traveling together? a bunch of hybrids that normaly wouldn't do so" Oh well it was worth a short. So long as she didn't make the bartender suspicious or want to hunt her down.

For a moment, the bartender raised an eyebrow at the question. It was a bit odd, he thought. But for now he just shrugged it off.
"Fraid not missy. The business of hybrids and animals is none of mine," he said before walking off to retreive the meal she had ordered. A few minutes later, he had returned with a plate that had a grilled chicken breast of sorts with a couple of veggies.
"Tis the case for most folk around here really," he mentioned while setting it down, "Why do ye ask?"

Before poke could dive into her meal, which had already made her stomach start singing, the bartender had asked her why she had asked her question. It was a good question, but she couldn't give him the real answer. So she had to make something else up
"I had lent a precious item of mine to a human who was traveling with this group, and I had asked him to give it back. But he didn't, and I've been trying to find him ever since" She stared at her plate and tried to look a little upset, while wondering if this could possibly come back ot bite her later on. "The guy is a bit of a theif..."

"A human's traveling with them? That's strange. But it sounds like the whole lot may be a buncha hooligans. It wouldn't surprise me really."
The bartender picked up a glass and started to wipe it down to clean it. Shaking his head to himself at the thought of a gang of hybrids causing havoc, he looked back up at his customer.
"But sorry to say I haven't really heard anything about something like that. Sorry t'hear bout your precious item though."

"thats alright, thankyou for your help though" poke replied, inwardly amazed he bought the story and relieved as well.
However now the she had to think of some other way to find out information. As she ate her meal, she wondered if there was anything else she could ask him. Should she ask if he heard of the scientist guy? nah, that may be inviting more trouble then she bargined for. She could ask where the closest beach was....although that wouldns't serve much help. Dammit she should of got herself a map...
As she finished her meal, she checked to see if she had any coins in her pocket. A few, but not alot. Perhaps it was enough to get herself a map. Though where would she be able to buy one... She didn't remember there being any small stores around either.
"One last thing, sir" she finaly said. "Do you know where I could purchase a map, and for how much?"

While Poke went and finished her meal, the barkeep went on with his usual duties. When he was addressed again, he turned towards her and nodded.
"There's a general store right across the street from where the doctor is. It should have some maps for cheap. Unless they jacked up prices for whatever reason."
Now that he was through with the doctor, Shun had returned to the inn. He seemed to be in better shape, but still weary nonetheless. For now, he stopped by the bar, noting that Poke was there currently. After seating himself several stools away from her, he looked up towards the barkeep to make a small order.
"Just some water for me."

"hmmm, that would be pretty good.." mumbleing, poke looked behind to see that shun was looking much better then before, and had come back in order to get soemthing himself. She raised an eye when she noticed he hadn't sat near her though.
Though, she couldn't go and purchase a map when shun was here. He woudl proably guess what she was up to and he'd be able to figure out some plan in order to stop her. So she'd have to wait till he was asleep, at least.

With a nod, the bartender placed a glass of water down before his new customer.
"Anything else I could get ya?"
"No, not now at least," replied Shun as he took the water and began to drink it. While he was there, he didn't really acknowledge Poke's presence a whole lot. Though, most likely he was just tired and didn't really feel like dealing with much for the time being.

Sighing, poke resigned herself to the fact that there was no way she could walk out of this bar and get what she needed without shun seeing and becoming suspicious. There was always the chance he was to tired to care but, she wasn't betting on it.
"Gonna head up for the night" she said, then walked towards were she assumed the rooms would be (would it even be open? she knew shun had the keys at least). Later on she would sneak out and purchase it when he was asleep, and if he saw her and asked what she was doing?
that was a good question...

"Hold on," he murmured before tossing Poke's room key at her. Hopefully she'd turn around and catch it. If not... oh well.
It wasn't long before Shun went to turn in as well. The infection left him feeling rather drained, so trying to get some good rest was very welcome in his mind. So he went on ahead into his room and crashed.

Luckily, poke had turned around and caught the key just in time. This made things much easier.
Later on in the night, poke layed awake in her bed untill she was sure shun was quite asleep. She sat up, eyeing the unmoving figue and slipped out of the room and down the hallway.
Once outside, she moved through the streets and towards the area opposite the doctors house, hoping that the place the bartender was talking about was still open

It was getting late, so the owner of the general shop was starting to close the shop for the day. He was standing behind the counter, calculating how much he had earned. It wasn't a bad day, but he felt it could have gone better. Busy with the accounting bits, he didn't notice anyone approaching his shop at the moment.

[Point out anything that sounds retarded, please. D; Sleepy, stressed and all of that jazz right now.]
Apparently, there wouldn't be enough time to dwell on just how awkward redressing was going to be, for just as soon as Hitsu was presented with what she was going to be wearing the guard hurried her into putting it on. In order to keep the persistent man from trying to assist her, if one would really call it that, she complied. As quickly as she could manage, and while doing her best to cover whatever clothing hadn't shown previously. It wasn't the easiest task, but she managed it. No peeping opportunities for the perverted male eye, thank God.
Stepping up close to Riyo and Mitsu, she looked them and then herself over quietly. Surely dressing them up nicely couldn't fool someone so easily... Could it? Either way, she was beginning to grow increasingly nervous.
Blade certainly didn't help this, either. Barely given a moment to be glad that everyone was - if even briefly - together again, he'd made an out of character gesture. Giving him an awkward glance at first, she felt something tug at her hair as he ran his fingers through. Perhaps she caught the drift, for she then offered a small smile. "Th-thank you."
Yuki, on the other hand, hadn't caught the hint. He shot a look at Blade that promised a horrible death. When Blade moved away from Hitsu again, Yuki pointedly drove a heel into the supposed pervert's foot as soon as the opportunity presented itself. With a sneer, Yuki hissed just loud enough to be heard. "Back off."
[I know that I should probably post more, I can't think well enough to do so just now. In my next post I'll address my characters going out into the madness, so everyone else can do so first I guess? We'll just pretend that my two are at the end of the line, if that's alright. >o>; I'll probably post for Deacon in my next post, too.]

Giving Hitsu a slight nod, Blade backed away and headed on as the group started to move once again. On the way back he noted the glare received from Yuki, which made him wonder if it was really worth pulling what he did. After all he won't be able to escape if Yuki ends up killing him before it got to that part.
Warily passing up the guy, he gritted his teeth as he muffled a grunt while feeling a sharp pain go into his left foot. He didn't quite expect that, but he supposed it was better than getting decked full on.
"Sure thing..." he grumbled in reply before somewhat hobbling along to follow the group. How Neko managed to survive with all the passes he probably made on Hitsu over time, he wasn't so sure. But at least the girl had someone really looking out for her.. he supposed.
Once at their destination, Blade raised an eyebrow slightly at what was going on. If he wasn't mistaken, this all sounded much like an auction. Not too surprising there for the most part, but he wasn't looking forward to it in any case. It'll be considerably harder to break everyone free if they were all 'owned' by different people. Depending on how things went, he may be forced to just look out for himself here.
