"Just a joke, Franz. I'm just simply not planning on dying any time soon, so I'm definitely not going to worry about what my spirit will do," Sil said gently, though she was quickly distracted by the piles of food that were settled down in front of her. She took a deep breath through her nose, enjoying the delicious scent of Jerry's cooking and took fork and knife in hand, taking the first bite. Once she had swallowed she made a soft noise of pleasure. "Thank you, Jerry! Amazing as always!"

Jerry's question made her pause in her rather rapid intake of food, and she paused thoughtfully. "I'm... okay," she said with slight hesitation, having difficulty choosing the word that fit how she felt. "A lot of the same old around here, and I'm honestly glad for it. I'm enjoying the lack of excitement right now," she turned to look at the only man in the room as a curious curve came to her lips. "Unless... have you heard anything interesting, lately? I know you know all the good dirt that people talk about during meal times."

"You are weeeelcome~" he replied to Sil as he served Franzie her stew and let out a small 'phew' noise, untying his apron. He listened to the girls' answers to his question as he rummaged around for some frozen cookie dough he had stashed in the freezer earlier. Finding it, he gleefully pulled it out and joined them around the table.

"Mmmm, I see I see....," he eyed Sil a bit, hearing her hesitation. He crossed his legs under the table and started gathering a spoonful of the cookie dough, "I hear a loooot of things, doll....for instance...what's this I hear about you and that fiiiine young red-head? You know I don't take complete stock in what people say around here, the way they lie. Mm. But if it's true...?"

Jerry batted his eyelashes at Sil, giving her a 'tell me everything' sort of look. Being that he adored Sil so much, he was very interested in her personal matters. He had kept track of all that had happened up to now, and he was eager to keep up with the truth. He continued to watch her as he stuck the spoon of dough into his mouth like a delicious chocolate-chip lollipop.

Franzie looked on in delight as her stew was set before her. Picking up her spoon, she eagerly began to eat her dinner, the warmth of her food slowly filling up her body.

"Ah, I needed that." She continued with her eating happily while listening carefully to the conversation Sil was having with Jerry. Franzie wasn't one to gossip, but being in a new place with new people prompted her to intake as much information as possible, even if it was only about rumors of other people's love lives.

Sil almost choked on her melted ice cream at Jerry's questioning, though she managed to cover it up rather nicely by clearing her throat a few times before swallowing rather calmly. A simple smile came on her face as she looked between the two of them expectantly, putting her acting skills to the test yet again. As a dancer she was used to playing a silent roll, and all this verbal inadvertent lying was becoming all too familiar.

"Oh, you're talking to me? I thought you meant Franzie met a fine young red-head." Her voice came out rather calmly, though in her own head it sounded as shaky as she felt at the questioning. It was as obvious as a cannon shot that Jerry was referring to her and Lavi's relationship and she wondered where the hell all this intel was coming from. The two of them hadn't even been seen together in the last few days to spur the rumors onward, so that meant the rumors were simply fueling themselves now. "You know all the information about my personal life just like the rest of the Order does," she flipped a hand gently at him, wielding her spoon like a weapon before stabbing into Jerry's cookie dough and thieving a bite. "Drill Franzie, because I bet hers is much more interesting than what's going on in mine."

(( @Kiah: Welcome hooome. <3 ))

Jerry raised his eyebrows at Sil's response. He could tell she was hiding something, and the way she tried to pawn him off on Franzie made him all the more suspicious. He wasn't going to leave her alone yet. As much as he wanted to ask exactly what had happened between her and Cross, he decided to leave the probably tender subject.

"Mmm...but you know how I love to know what's going on with you, doll," he reached out and touched Sil's hand gently to let her know he was serious.

(( Thank you! <3

Well, it started when my brother claimed he was a part-time velociraptor... (Which is freaky when you're sitting there, and he screeches while staring at you with huge eyes and a weird look on his face) Then I got to thinking about how, if in the future every animal becomes extinct, people would get jobs as part-time animals... And it spiraled downward from there... ))

((Welcome back, Kiah~))

Franzie stopped in the middle of putting her spoon in her mouth and raised an eyebrow at Sil.

"What are you-? Oh." She realized what Sil was trying to do and chuckled a bit. She's seen this type of behavior from Mizaka once, though her response was much more manic and involved her screaming "shut up" multiple times. She set aside her plate and sighed a little.

"My personal life, you say? Well, I'm not one to keep quiet about my life if you ask questions. I bet the first things that are on your mind is how I got these scars and what happened to my left eye..."

((CROSS IS VOLDEMORT. A sexy version of Voldemort. I'd want that Voldemort to live. No lie. ))

Her eyes never met Jerry's, but she did reach over and squeeze his hand a little distractedly. It wasn't that she didn't want to tell him, but once one person knew then another one would, and it would only be a matter of time until the secret was out. "You're a sweetheart... and you never know, maybe I'll have a story to tell you after Valentine's day? Who knows, someone might confess their love to me." She finally managed to meet his gaze then, giving him a little teasing wink.

Franzie's frank wording made her blush a little, since she had been curious about the girls mangled looks, but it simply wasn't something easily asked about in their line of work. Almost all of them had scars, some of them more debilitating than others. "Well... ah... I was... a little curious," Sil admitted a little guiltily. "It must be quite a story."

(( Pffffffftttttt, sounds about right, though...

You should've seen how this was playing out in my head... ))

Kiah woke up feeling grumpy and frustrated from her talk with Liv yesterday, so she'd decided to keep to herself for awhile. She'd rushed into Komui's office to grab her paperwork from the man, spending most of the day cooped up in her room working on it or reading. Unfortunately, she hadn't eaten anything all day and was starting to get annoyed with her stomach's constant growling. Reluctantly heading for the kitchen, Kiah opened the door to find Jerry, Sil, and Franzie all chatting at the counter. She stared at the group with a blank look for a bit before slowly closing the door, scowling at her luck and deciding that she'd rather starve than show everyone how crabby she was.

(( @Sil: .....DID YOU REALLY JUST SAY THAT? Ohdeargod. TAKE IT BACK. TAKE IT BAAAAAAAACK. T_____________________T

@Kiah: NO. IT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT AT ALL. gonk Ohdeargod. -loses mind- ))

"That is true, gurl. Whoever doesn't confess their love for you is just plain STUPID!" he laughed and grinned at Sil, but stowed away some things for later as he moved onto Franzie.

"Ooooh, do tell!" he looked interested as he continued to eat the cookie dough. When Kiah walked in, he waved her over, "Come on over, don't be shy~!"

((@Jerry: Dear God, this is so fitting for Cross gonk ))

Franzie immediately detected the guilt in Sil's voice and gave her a gentle smile.

"It's okay. People wonder about my looks all the time, so I'm completely used to it." She breathed in deeply and closed her remaining eye as she let the memories roll through her mind.

"Well...I guess I'll start with my father. He was a very respected and powerful Master during his life. He accomplished a lot of great feats and managed to capture more Spirits than anyone else at the time. My mother died shortly after I was born, so he had to raise me all by himself. Despite his busy schedule, he always had time for me." She stopped talking for a moment and smiled at the memory of her father's grinning face. "My current Spirit, John Dillinger, was in fact his Spirit at the time. He watched me grow up, so I guess he's something of a second father to me. Life was pretty good for us...until..." She stopped again, only this time a sad look came upon her face. "One day, when I was ten, a rabid Hellhound escaped from Hell and began terrorizing our town. My father tried to stop it, but it was too powerful for him. The Hellhound tore apart his body, then went after me. It took a large bite at the left side of my body and was about to kill me when my powers suddenly awakened. You see, a Master's powers only awaken when facing a near death situation. The Hellhound got frightened and ran out of our town while I was quickly taken to the hospital. My eye was so badly torn up they had to surgically remove it and I stayed at the hospital for months." Franzie's body shook a little as she recalled her dreadful experience. She calmed herself by taking a deep breath and looked over at Sil.

"So now you know. But the most remarkable thing is, in my opinion, is how Johnny became my Spirit. Right before he died, my father transferred his bond over to me. Very few Masters can do that. That just showed how powerful he was..."

((LOLOLOL. Poor Cross >.>

Sorry I was slow, ate some dinner real quick.))

Sil gazed thoughtfully at Franzie as she recanted her story, surprised by how calmly she spoke of such memories. The smile on her face was rather touching, though, and she thought that Franzie must miss her father. Her face relaxed into a small frown as the story continued, and she wondered why the world worked in such a way that so many people had to be maimed and murdered for the sake of keeping others safe.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Franzie," she said softly, sympathetically. "I'm glad you made it out, though. Scars are rarely good experiences, but... I always think they make everyone unique even if they aren't received in the most pleasant way," she scooped some of her ice cream and stared into it thoughtfully, thinking of her own scars and some of the others she had seen. "If anything, it's a badge of honor of how strong you are for surviving an ordeal."
