And Malik got slapped. One precise quick strike of her hand against his cheek before her hands were clasped in front of her again, but she was wearing a slight frown across her features. Fianna had never been above hitting, even if it didn't hurt badly or turn heads, it was meant to say that she was making a point. "You're being a fool. Do you think a man with compassion is not capable of keeping those around him in line? A man with such can breed more fear than most could imagine...if you know he feels as deeply as he does you no longer know what he is capable or the lengths he goes. That makes him a dangerous man that you would be a fool to cross him and earn his ire. And that is the ire that they can only see, not what else he has inside. Even Kiera-..." Closing her eyes and trailing off at the name before shaking her head. No couldn't think about it right now. Focus on the here and now. "One method of the under-elves that I will never understand, this need to bottle it away and hide it."
That said, she cleared her throat lightly...even when she did such things, Fianna was always one to soothe afterwards. Which is why her voice lost that harsher tone to it in her next words. "Do not be so quick to think the worse either...children have more faith than any other creatures. One must just set things right. Something I never did with my own daughter and it caused me more pain for years that never should of been in existance in the first place. And you no matter what you do....nothing it going to be enough to soothe a mother until she has her child back in her arms. All you can strive to do is offer up a bit of understanding to that. Now...if you've calmed a little and will remain calm...you seem to have a lead if you wish to seek it. A little tawny elven boy with red eyes."
His son was quiet and Sevilin didn't know if that was a good thing or not. He supposed that in a way it was, because when he was a child and was put under such soothing motions he would go quiet and merely close his eyes until he felt he was feeling better enough to be part of the world again. It seemed some things never changed...and he was glad for that as well. After all, it meant his son still needed him in some way. "Sounds like nusiance...if we knew how they took forms it would be easier."
She was still quite upset with herself as she was tending to her son. This was her fault? This never would have happened if she didn't do this stupid surface thing? Delivering her child into the arms of those that sought to do harm...lovely. "Because when one seeks to do something, they are wise to target those that have the most influence. And Andal is a closed plane, getting in without knowing the specifics will more or less kill you." Turning her attention to her son once more. "Are you alright?" Turning a look back to Galesen. "Anything we're going to do, we're going to do carefully and with the utmost caution. No barreling in and all guards up. Mykorian, if you remember anything else you're to tell us. Whoever is going to go with Galesen...needs to prepare themselves." Yes she was taking charge in the abscense of her husband...it was just how she had to be right now. Leader, not mother. "Malikhai...I want you to stay with Keely okay?"
He gave a faint nod against her shoulder, still holding onto her. He didn't know what to think...he'd never seen his father like that and his father had never seemed to be like that. And Malik seemed remorseful for what he had been or done or whatever...and Malikhai personally had defended his father from Rainmare who was the hero in that little vision more or less, putting down a tyrant. Yet Malikhai felt no remorse for that. but then a look to his mother. "But, I..." Did he want to help? He did, but he was so confused.
He fiddled with his fingers in nervousness before he was being hugged and he blinked at that. Well apparently one person was happy to see him. "Well I...not for sure...but it's what it feels like...so maybe...." He felt like he was letting then down but not at the same time. Being let go he fiddled his fingers again. "My...my dad had, has, something on 'nells I think. He mentions it when he would go certain places. I'll go see if it's in the house down here....um, could I borrow a horse?"
-- "Right right. I'm sorry. How about I make it up to the both of you hm? Anything you want, I'll be the accomodating big brother that you all can bask in my glow and what not. Besides....you have your moments of freaking out too." Giving his brother a little bounce. "You weren't the only one scared were you Kelli? Nope, she's just trying to pretend she wasn't scared too. Girls huh?"

His eyes narrowed, rubbing his cheek lightly.
"there is a reason for it. Ravenwing is the reason. and people like him are far more numerous here. people that will twist, distort, torment, torture the things you are compassionate towards, to destroy your heart. But that is neither here nor there."
but his voice was calm again, regulated, though the undercurrent of violent anger was there. Not that Fianna slapped or lectured him, but because of the present circumstance.
"the boy from the tournament. the one that Faate was interested in, that was hiding something. Then lets follow the lead, and see where it goes. and you, no secrets about Kieran. what's going on with him."
His hand rested on Malvolence, and Broog's head lifted up from his food, and he got up and marched over to where the others were gathered.
"Broog going."
Malik went out of his office, taking Fianna by the hand a moment to help her over the destroyed remains of things.
"Did you bring your bow? if not I can provided you with another. any runic things you may have experimented with or created for tracking please employ and work with Sevilin on it. and I assume he spoke of this lead before you came down to me, so what did he saw and don't think that's going to make me forget that something is wrong with Kieran."

Boy from the tournament. She briefly recalled Kieran mentioning something about the boy when he had come back from his brief visit here not long ago. Letting Malik take her hand to help around various upturned and broken things she kept that trained emotion on her features at the mention of Kieran. "Yes I brought my bow. I always do even if it appears that I don't. And I'll do my best to work with Inthara despite our quite obvious and still existance of our dislike for each other." Giving another nod, "Yes he did...and now that you've calmed down a little you can rejoin the populace. He spoke of some surface creatures that apparently, are dopplegangers and hard to trace." But he was back on Kieran again. "Kieran...was in an accident, he's not well." And that was all she wanted to tell at the moment.

"Well it's one of those questions that will have to be answered when we get to the bottom of all this Sevilin." A look to Piper and he gave a small nod, though a blink at her sudden change of words."Of course we will Piper, the last thing I want to do is just rush into this and mess up any chances of us finding them." So now it was finally time for them to get going, but a look down to Mykorian and he raised an eyebrow. "How bout I quickly come with you? We could take my horse and we will be back as quick as we left." They couldn't let this boy out of their sight, he could probably be the one who can blow the whole lid off of this problem. A look to Broog and he gave a small nod. "Alright then whoever wants to come get ready and met us outside, I'll quickly take Mykorian to his place and we will be back to go check out the area we saw them." He turned to Piper as he forced his body to relax. "I'll do my best to be back in an hour, or less."

Malik came upstairs to here the tail end of things nad walked over, took Myklorian by the arm, and Galesen, and proceeded to walk with both in tow to the stables.
"You'll do no such thing Galesen. Brahnel is a good horse, but not one for long distance in short time. He's not trained for it."
Before letting them both go in the stables, and opening Ramoth's pen to the annoyance of the Nightmare and a snort. Malik patted her on teh nose a bit and taking to her, feeding her a sugar cube as well, before closing the pen. and walking to another one with a wilder stallion in that that reared and came close to kicking him.
"you'll take this one. He's faster, sleeker. He's from the bloodline Destyny is, which is Zykariel's racing mare. and you're not going to just get information and come back. You'll take Ramoth with you, she'll keep this one in line and I want his father or mother or both brought back here. I want everything they know at my disposal, and everything that they might have heard or learned since you were told what you were told."
Turning back to both of them.
"Do we have any questions, and they better be intelligent or I'm going to get very annoyed, very quickly."

She nodded to Galesen with somewhat of a smile, seeing as he had seemed to understand how speediness to this all was key in the grand master plan. He may of seemed a little hopeless at first when they had first met, but he had shaped up indeed. Though her attention turned to her husband and mother as they decided to show themselves to the general populace...well Malik seemed a bit more togther somewhat. Either her mother was good with her words, or she had hit him.
"It would be faster if I go alone though." Was it selfish of him to be wanting to keep his secrets even at a time like this? He supposed...this wasn't his family after all and he happened to on a whim know something. But it seemed that there would be no going alone since next thing he knew he was more or less being dragged outside to the stables. Crap it was getting worse. He'd just make up a lie on the way there for Galesen about his parents and then wing it from there. So he was riding with Galesen on a horse that was rather uppity? "I'll get what I can. We better get going." Thus turning a look to Galesen.

Galesen blinked when Malik came out of no where. A small frown on his face when he was told he couldn't take Barhnel, out of all the years he had the horse the elf knew his steed better than anyone. Barhnel could make the trip. But it seemed that they were being told to take another horse. Blinking at the steed that was picked out for them Galesen sighed lightly, the damn thing almost kicked Malik how the hell was he suppose to keep it under control? A look to at that point Ramoth when told the horse will be coming with them. The horse stared at him for a moment before Galesen turned back to the drow. "Alright, if that's the way it has to be, lets get going then." There were no need for questions, they needed to get this done.
So when the wild horse actually relaxed at one point Galesen quickly got on and gripped the reins as it decided to rear up before settling down again. A look to Mykorian. "Come on, let's get this done." So when the half drow got on Galesen ask for the destination and when he got the info they were off. Moments later bang there were at the spot. Sighing Galesen looked around. "Alright where is your place?" A moment later both horses and Galesen found themselves at Mykorian place. He waited for the kid to get off before he did and looked at the place. "Okay now let's look at this information of yours."

He hoped and prayed that Galesen would be too preoccupied with the mission to ignore the state of the place...which was rather delapidated. It was definitely in need of repair and there was dust on most things. He picked his way through rooms until he came to what used to be his father's study. Mykorian thumbed through the books and papers on the desk and bookshelf, pulling out a few of them and tucking them into his pack, along with a few other choice articles, hurrying back to Galesen. "Okay we can go...but I'm afraid you won't be able to get my parents. They're on the surface...and they were going off plane on a trip. That's why I came down here...I couldn't go with them and they told me I could come to Twilight and train and stuff. You think Lord D'vinn will be upset? Heading back out to horses.

Galesen made it seem that he was occupied with something but really when it came to going to another house anybody can pick out what was wrong with it. The place looked like it hasn't been touched in years. They lived in this place? Usually an elf would like to keep things clean, he knew that he did. A small pause as the boy came back, though when he went for the door he stopped Mykorian and looked down at him. "Mykorian, this is probably too many times where we couldn't see your parents. I'm telling you this now, Malik has suspicion that you're lying to him about something." A small pause as he stared at the half elf. "Now I've been thinking about it for awhile now, and there are times where you have let yourself slipped. So I'm asking you this because really you should of already told us, are your parents deceased?"

On the inside he was panicking, but only on the inside. Mostly because he had been caught, but he knew better than go panic on the outside and let Galesen know the truth. After all...maybe his parents were just neglectful to the child and no dead, right? Maybe they weren't his real parents, maybe they shoved him off on purpose because they didn't want him. There were plenty of excuses he could use. Pushing past Galesen, he opened the door and headed out back to the horse. "Shouldn't you be more focused on what you're supposed to be doing and not making up theories about my parents? They're busy elves, so they're not around a lot." Taking a moment to pull himself up on the horse.

Wow the kid looked cool, maybe a little too cool really. There were probably other reasons that his parents weren't around but the kid wasn't able to keep himself calm when it came to around his parents sometimes. Sighing he watched the boy go and shook his head. "Listen to me you may be cool about it now but when Malik asks you he wont let up. Earlier when we spoke you mention about how your father use to be around. You've have slipped up a few times and everyone has caught on." A pause as he stood near the horse. "I'm telling you now, it's better to tell the truth about your family to them before they force it out of you. Being around these families you must build trust with them, and in a moment you can ruin it if you're not careful." The kid was getting a lucky break here, if he was able to stay around he could be exposed to a lot of different things he hasn't seen. "Trust me Mykorian, it's best to explain to them everything now before you're place in a light you do not want to be in."

"I'm half surface elf, half drow. People already put me in lights that I don't want to be in." See, this is what he was talking about to Faate...first they'd drag the truth out of him and then it would be a pity party. No, he wasn't having it. "Well come on or I'm leaving you here...Lord D'vinn seemed to get annoyed if we took to long and you told Lady D'vinn you'd be back quickly."

"Well I haven't kid, trust me when people find out I was raise by humans I'm looked at like a weird person too." Sighing lightly he shook his head and placed his hands on his hips. "You cannot leave me here for the fact that Ramoth wont let you and even so if you did the others will wonder what the hell happened." He glared at the half elf for a little bit. "I've lost my parents too Mykorian, my elf parents and a whole lot of human parents. I don't care for the pity and I bet you don't either, and every time I told those about my folks I never asked for it, trust me you won't get it from Malik and Sevilin either. So I'm just warning you now, tell them before they figure it out themselves, and with your folks not showing up again they may start to think about it even more." So he wasn't going to push it anymore, the kid didn't want to tell him then that was fine. A few seconds later he was up on the horse and in a short while they were at Twilight again. Sighing he got off the horse and waited for the kid before he took the horses back, time to get serious about all this.

Malik came back inside, and tapped broog on the arm.
"The boys. protect them with your life. I don't want them to even use the bathroom without you at the door."
Then his attention turned to his wife, and pulled her over to him, gave her a kiss, and a smirk.
"Things will be fine. we have a target now."

And there was the relation thing that he had told Faate about too. He wanted neither sympathy or empathy about the subject, especially when he wasn't yet fessing up to it. And thus he remained obstinately quiet about things, even as Galesen mounted up and they made their way back to the fortress. Dropping down off the horse, he adjusted his pack on his back and waited for Galesen. Was not going into the place by himself at all.
Reluctantly she had let go of Malikhai as Malik pulled her away and to himself after giving orders for the two older boys. Somehow it was a tad comforting, seeing as she knew Broog was always dependable. But slightly dulled eyes watched Malik as he stood there smirking, feeling secure in his new spot of information. Keep it together Piper. She could only watch him for so long before looking away at nothing in particular. "Of course." Agree with him rather than let it be known what she really felt on it. No it was not find, it was not going to be fine, and a hypothetical target was not good enough for her.
