"Tame, huh?" Kiah watched the plant gobble down the next slab of meat with a disgusted look, vowing to never see the Flytrap in the wild. She wasn't quite ready to call the plant by its actual name, finding the whole situation a bit strange. "Who exactly is this Professor Jay?"

"Henry Jay was one of my teachers back when I used to go to the Soul Academy," said Mizaka as she continued on with Charlie's feeding. "He wasn't a Master like I am, but he did teach a class on dangerous plants and what we should do in case we came across one. He was also a very respected scientist." She leaned over and began petting Charlie. The plant let out a loud purring noise. "We became good friends over the years...until that day..." She stopped talking and became visibly uncomfortable. "God, it's a long story and I honestly don't feel like talking about it. Just know that he was one of my dearest friends and Charlie is the only thing that's left of him...except for Eve, but she keeps to herself all the time."

Kiah smiled at the way Mizaka talked about this mysterious scientist, until she sensed that it was a sore subject ,dampening her mood a bit. "That's fine, I wouldn't want to pry..." She shifted her feet nervously under the table, feeling awkward at Mizaka's obvious discomfort. She knew exactly what it was like to want to keep things to yourself, and therefore attempted to lamely change the subject. "Anyway, I haven't seen you for awhile. You and Jack fighting off all of the Spirits?"

"Huh?" Mizaka had been drifting off in her thoughts and jumped a bit when Kiah addressed her. "Oh! No, we haven't been seeing much Spirits lately. In fact, we've been helping Franzie with the patients instead. They all seem to be doing better. Although..." Mizaka's face formed into a frown. "There's that annoying teenage Spirit that Jack is currently keeping at his side..."

Kiah winced, a bit ashamed that she hadn't been in the infirmary for awhile. She realized that it wasn't expected of her to help out at all, but she could be checking in on everyone else that had been injured in the fight. "You guys must've really helped out in there..."
Hearing about the teenage Spirit caused Kiah to jump a bit, feeling guilty since she was the reason he was carrying it around. It wasn't fully her fault, but she knew if they hadn't needed to know who started the fire he wouldn't have the Spirit at all. She still wasn't sure how she should feel about a certain Noah. "Really? Did he tell you why he has it?"

"Hell if I know," Mizaka shrugged. "Apparently he told you who caused the fire in the file room, so now Jack is keeping him instead of sending him to Hell as some sort of a reward. Honestly, that little brat is getting on my last-"

A book had flown from a nearby shelf and hit Mizaka right in the face. Yelping in pain, she put her hand over her nose and glared at the bookshelf. The teenage Spirit appeared before her, munching on an apple he had stolen from the kitchen.
"Hey, b***h! Where can I get some decent food around here?"
"Zachary..." Mizaka growled menacingly at the Spirit.

Kiah sighed, glad that she didn't have to hide anything. She then proceeded to wince and cover her ears at the loud noises, headache throbbing to the beat of her heart. "Please don't yell... I'll make you anything, just please lower you voice..." She quietly pleaded, hoping that the Spirit would listen to her if she was at least polite.

Zachary was surprised to see there was another person in the room. He looked closely at Kiah and grinned widely.
"I know you! You're that chick from the file room!" He bit into his apple one last time before throwing it away. "You can cook? Awesome! I've been starving to death all day!"
"You can't starve to death if you're already dead," said Mizaka as she rolled her eyes. "And who said Kiah is gonna be your personal chef, you empty-headed runt?!"

"I don't really care, I can do it, just please stop yelling..." Kiah groaned, ready to run for ten miles if they'd keep their voices to a whisper. "If I make you something, will you stay quiet?" She attempted to bargain with the Spirit, knowing he probably wouldn't honor the deal.

"Oh, sorry!" Zachary immediately lowered his voice. "Think you can make me a burger? I haven't had one since I died." Mizaka let out an irritated groan, but said nothing. She didn't want Kiah's headache to get worse and instead looked on at the two while glaring at the Spirit.

"Sure, just wait here..." Kiah painfully got up and headed down the hall to the smaller kitchen so she wouldn't be in Jerry's way. Attempting to keep the pain from her headache down, she quickly made him a large burger, throwing condiments on reluctantly as she didn't know what he liked. She then walked back slowly, opening the door and handing Zachary his burger before waving at the two. "There you go... Sorry I didn't ask if you wanted one, Mizaka, but I really need to sleep. I'll see you guys later..." Kiah shuffled to her room, ready to crash for the night.

((Good night! I better get going as well, so good-bye whoever is still here!))
Zachary happily munched on his dinner.
"This is good! Thanks, lady!" Once Kiah had left the room, Mizaka grabbed a hold of Zachary's ear. "Oooowww!"
"Let's go, you brat." She picked up Charlie and dragged Zachary out of the room with her.
