Kiah dropped the pile of papers on the desk and proceeded to stack them, bringing up the earlier subject to distract Chaoe a bit. "So Michiyo, you've heard the rumors about Valentine's Day, haven't you?"

Michiyo frowned at Kiah's question, "Well... I've heard whispers in the corridors, if that's what you mean... But aren't they just that... rumours?" She hoped they were. She'd never really had any particular opinion of Valentine's Day, but knowing HQ it would turn into a circus.

"This again..." He looked between the two, eyebrows knotted. "I've really heard nothing about this. I've heard people talking about Valentine's Day in general, but nothing big..." Raising his eyebrows quizically at Kiah, he waited for the explanation she had begun before they'd been interrupted by Chaoe under the couch.

"I believe there's some truth behind every rumor, especially one about something big happening on a holiday. Besides, I found out through Jerry, and he knows pretty much everything that goes on around here," Kiah whispered, glancing around suspiciously before looking at Lavi.
"I don't know if this is true or not, but from what I heard, there's a party being planned, schemes being cooked up by Komui, and events being set up. I-I even heard something about a... kissing booth," Kiah shivered in horror, and started gathering her things. "I've been staying out of the way of everyone, making sure they didn't drag me into this. I've never liked Valentine's Day." She started walking to the door, turning back before going to her room. "Anyway, I'll be going now. By the way, you didn't hear it from me."

It didn't surprise him much, they usually celebrated every holiday, he figured Valentine's Day would be no different. He could imagine Valentine's Day at the Order could end up a catastrophe, though, especially if Komui was involved. He couldn't blame her for her jumpy behaviour and he'd make sure to stay well away from any possible traps, too. "Alright... see you later, Kiah." He waved her goodbye.
He glanced over at the kitchen door through which Sil had disappeared. He'd forgotten Valentine's Day was coming, and he wondered what he should do.

Lavi still had his arm around Chaoe's shoulder and he could feel her relax. He didn't want to upset her again by asking questions about the mysterious Mr. Rolf, so he just smiled a little and rubbed her arm before deciding on a possibly less distressing one. "Are you feeling better now?"

"That's good. I don't like seeing you sad. This suits you much better." He poked her cheek, meaning her smile. As he shifted his foot, it knocked against something hard on the floor. Looking down, he noticed something peeking out from underneath the couch. A book, it looked like. He reached down a hand and slid it away from the couch a bit before picking it up. Inspecting the cover, the title told him it was a recipe book for sweets.
"Is this yours?" He placed it on Chaoe's lap, figuring she might have dropped it there when she was hiding away, as she seemed to have developed an interest in baking lately.

She blinked before nodding a bit, a bit embarassed.
"Thanks Lavi.."
She flinched when he set it on her lap, quickly grabbing it she looked around in horror, hoping no one else saw.
"Y-yeah it's mine- well, I borrowed it from the library actually-"
Her cheeks heated up, "I'm trying to learn how to make chocolates for valentines day.."
