Okay, so..I had a dilemma. As you guys know the V-Day form wasn't working for me. So when the announcement came up today about it I was thinking great, I can get this done with no hassle now. Well, I was wrong. It still working work. I took out all the periods again and even made the word -it's- into -it is- in case that was it, but nope. So, I'm frantic of course because I know some of you guys were looking forward to the item idea Skizz wanted done. I was proud of it too because I finally drew something after the huge artist block I had. I think it looks wonderful, and I just..I'm DAMN PROUD OF IT. rofl Anyway, I was upset because I'm just like, wtf, ejtiauorhg;u. So, as a last resort I IMed RaeRae to see if she'd sign onto my account to try and submit for me to see if that would work. As much as the Gaia mods say not to give out your password, etc..I know that the AG people's wouldn't steal from me (I would have done the password in PM though of course). She was about to leave however, and suggested Meg Zero.. All I can say is, he's a life saver. He suggested submitting it through a mule so I tried..and it might have worked, and it might not have. I don't know. It said error, someone has submitted such and such url already. The page went all white on me though, so I had no way of telling if it went through or not. But, Zero is going to check it out for me... I am soooooo grateful. crying I love everyone here, I really do.

Also, up to that point where things went to s**t for a bit because I was freaking out, I had a good day. Some of you guys got a text from me earlier talking about how warm it was and that it was almost 20 degrees. whee It was just all around nice, and I was glad I was able to hurry and get out of the house on time to catch a bus and do things today. I had music with me, and realized that I never realized before how happy listening to music makes me. Today was just grand really..
And I made the first step towards getting healthy/in better shape. Today when I went to Target I had the intent of buying some extra shavers and the Gaia cash card. Well, when I first went in there I ended up getting four or eight AAA for a buck, then I got a kind of cute thing I could wear on St. Patty's Day to work that was also a buck. Then, I went around looking at movies because I usually do when there, and I was going to get the HP OotP movie but then didn't because I could find that cheaper online anyway..so I put that down (and by put down I mean I didn't put it back in the right spot..I was strapped for time being I have to take a bus). I went and got some Head and Shoulders being I need that, and then went to check out and asked about the Gaia Cash Card (I hadn't found it). They didn't know what I was talking about so I just let it go. But then when I'm out there at the bus stop, I realize I forgot to get the shavers. So back in I go. I probably spent another hour in there because I decided to try and take a look in the toys and electronic section for the card but it wasn't there (in the parts I looked). Then I looked for the shavers which took me a while because I didn't realize that it was over by the deodorant. So, I grabbed those and then a worker there asked if I needed any help, so I told them about it and she lead me right over to the section they have cards for the online stuff. AND IT WAS THERE! TONS OF THEM. sweatdrop It had some stuff for other sites too like Habbo and..I forgot what else, but there were a bunch of different kinds. Anyway, so I go back to the same check out I went to before and showed the lady what it was. Er..and then, sometime before that though, I got a work out video so I got that, the shavers and the cash card. This is going to be something to hopefully guide me into the right direction when it comes to exercising because it'll show me what to do, etc. I think I'm going to die though...because it's a cardio boot camp something or another that's going to have me jumping and just..moving around a lot. I'm excited either way because I know I need to start getting healthy.

Kinetic Dream iBarty I may only have heard the one song I have by them, but it sounds so much better than our stuff even if I don't understand what they're saying. That depends on what you're comparing it to. If it's late 90's/00 rap, then yeh, there haven't been that many exceptional rap artists who've made it to the mainstream. This is due to what the major share of the market wants, which is black/hispanic/white (in order from most desired to least) gangsta rappers. However, there still is a strong undercurrent of rap artists with a different view from the above mentioned, but they rarely get the face time. It doesn't help that you have the former music channels, what's left of the radio, and generally ignorant bassheads shoving down your throat that the good rap acts are all gangsta rappers. The fact is, Rip Slyme, from the sound of it, represents more of an 80's/early 90's hiphop/pophop sound, fun, energetic and over the top, mixing a house-like sound (amusing, since the 70's used disco) with a genuine sense of entertainment. At the same time, hiphip has an edge to it that stems from the community it grew out of, namely the Bronx and its clubs, which also carried over into the division between hiphop and rap in the eighties. This gives it a kind of biting cynical nature at times, but it ain't no issue to like Japanese music over US music. I don't know your experience with rap and hiphop, but I can think of a few groups off the top of my head with a similar sound or energy, and not necessarily grounded in hiphop. Is that bad? Nah, but the point I'm trying to make is that there's a lot more out there than people think, and stuff like this kind of reminds me of Anime V. Cartoons. You're so far buried under your own culture, you occasionally miss the good stuff, but can clearly see what you enjoy somewhere else. Thank you for understanding way more about the western hip-hop/rap scene than I ever could. crying heart
