Erin frowned a little at the first card, his back turned to them as he stirred the cocoa. He wondered what it could mean, but brushed it off, continuing to listen. When Michiyo commented however, it made him understand a little more, as she was quite right about what she said. He hadn't chosen his fate either, and thought that most of them were in the same boat.

"True enough," she laughed, reaching over to flip over the next card so it was face up. The newest image was upright, representing Michiyo's present, revealing an intricate image of a white bearded man sitting upon a throne. The man was if religious importance, and two monks kneeled by his feet in reverence. His hands were towards the sky, holding onto a golden scepter.
"The Pope represents your present," Sil said pleasantly, tilting her head a little bit at the card. She recognized it more easily than the minor arcana cards, which were mostly numbers and symbols. "The card represents a religious reform, in which you have become reborn into humility, kindness and goodness, caring deeply for others. You've become allied, but you still are prone to servitude to something higher than yourself and your alliances. Now, you struggle because you don't adapt well to new circumstances and you're finding that it's hard to quit your old habits even if you know you need to change them. You also now have a special importance in history," she smiled a little bit, liking the idea that anything any of them were doing may make a difference in the history of the world.

Her eyes widened at the explanation, amazed at how well it seemed to fit. She did care for the others, and had become close allies with all the members of Headquarters. When Sil came to the bit about change, she chuckled, "Yes, I don't do change very well. I like my things to stay the same, thank you."
Her cheeks flushed lightly when Sil reached the end of her description. She couldn't imagine she would have special importance in history, not with what little she did. The cards had been right so far though.

Erin smiled to himself at the mention of kindness and caring deeply for others. From what he had seen so far, that was certainly true about Michiyo. He didn't know what to make of the rest as he poured the steaming cocoa into mugs for the three of them.

The final card was flipped, showing five men sitting around a table where they were clearly gambling. The man at the head of the table had his arms thrown up in glee, winning the game, while the others have various forms of disappointment on their faces. There were seven coins with various images surrounding them.
"The card that represents your future is the Seven of Coins, which is a pretty good card if I do say so myself," she laughed lightly. "Very uneventful. Your future holds a time of growth, and that the hard work you put in will eventually pay off with extensive self progression. Your monetary dealings will be successful and you will come upon some wealth. Outside of monetary, you'll find that you gain something that you will treasure deeply."
She smiled then, the reading over, glad nothing too cryptic had come from it even if they believed all of it was hogwash.
((Pfff anticlimactic last card. xD))

Erin thought Michiyo's future sounded quite pleasant, which he was happy for. It would have been a shame for her future to hold anything terrible, especially in their current situation. Carrying the three mugs over, he set them down.
"Here you go...sorry if it isn't to your liking. I have to say cocoa really isn't my thing, " he said sheepishly as he sat on the couch again with his own mug.

Michiyo laughed along with her, "So, I'm going to get a load of cash, go through some awesome self-growth, and gain something I'll treasure deeply? I'd say that's a pretty good future."
She helped her slide the cards back into one pile, the smile staying on her face, "See? Even randomly I managed to get a happy story." Even though she wasn't sure if she believed in card reading at all, it was obvious that the cards she had chosen had been pretty accurate. She couldn't help but wonder what this deeply treasured thing could be.
Picking up the mug of cocoa, she also moved back to the couches. "I'm sure it'll taste just fine," she reassured, still quite happy from her reading, taking a sip. She was right. It was just right.

"Happily ever after," Sil stated airly-- she had never read her own cards, and she was much less afraid to try now that Michiyo had such a nice outcome.
"Well lady and gent, I hope you enjoyed this addition of 'What happens when Scientists try to do something completely unscientific.' Unfortunately, the mysterious Madame Silvia has much more tangible and theoretic matters insisting her attention," she bowed and fanned herself with the cards and scooped up her mug. "Thanks for the cocoa Erin!"

"I hope so, " he smiled as Michiyo took a her sip, glad to see that she was in a better mood. He waved Sillie off and sipped his own cocoa, amazed that it didn't taste terrible.
"I didn't do too bad. Imagine that!" he laughed.

"Miracles do exist!" she added, laughing as well. Odd how, after all the ups and downs this evening, they end up happy on the couch with cocoa. It must be the magic of the Common Room.
