((Ohsnap >.> Uhhhh... I'll be a little slow since I'm working on my profile, but what the hell!))
Sil came in, flipping through that pack of tarot cards she had found in a drawer a couple of weeks before, considering on playing with them further. Boredom struck as usual and whenever boredom struck, Sil usually ended up with something in her hands that she likely shouldn't be playing with. Walking into the Common Room, she was surprised to spit Michiyo and Erin sitting so dead quietly and she glanced around a little warily.
"... Hellooooo," she drawled. "Are we uh... having a quiet contest?" She wondered if they were not getting along again, and fought the urge to currently tease them about their up and down attitudes with one another.

"We just got back from the theater. There was a little incident, but it was nothing, " he told Sil, covering. He looked at the cards in her hands and wondered about them, "What's that?"

[[ Hey Jack~ ]]
Michiyo shot up from her seat on the couch as Sil entered, happy for a distraction. When Erin had taken up his position on his couch, she had matched it, remembering the plan to get hot chocolate, but his sudden drop in mood deterred her from offering it again.
"Sil! Hey," she called, feeling somehow embarrassed, "No no, just... thinking, I guess." Fumbling with the edge of her shirt, she fought for a change of topic, and her eyes fell on the stack of cards in Sil's hands. "Oh, playing cards?"

((FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Me too ;-; <3 LOL. Welcome home Jack!))
"An incident?" She raised her eyebrow, her curiosity getting the better of her, though the question easily diverted her attention. Her eyes fell to the cards in her hands, having forgotten they were there for a moment.
"Oh, these? They're tarot cards, so yeah... they are technically playing cards, or magic gypsy cards," her shoulders lifted in a small shrug. Sil didn't really know if she believed the cards told the future, but she could play normal card games with them so she had little complaints about them. "Depends on how you want to look at them."

"Tarot cards," Michiyo repeated, intrigued, as she slowly sat down on the couch again. She had heard about them, but had never actually seen a deck, "Do you know how to read them?"

"Oh, those things. I've never had a reading myself, but there are a lot of gypsies back in Ireland that offer that kind of thing, " he looked at Sil warily and then turned to Michiyo as she asked her question. He had wondered the same thing, but wasn't sure if he really wanted to go down that road. Past, present, future...a lot of the things that could be found there bothered him, and he didn't care to have it laid out in front of him.

"I guess I do, I read the book through a couple of times so I get the idea of how to use them mystically, so to speak," she smiled a little bit. "I'm pretty sure it's all games and parlor tricks, though. Lavi had a point that everything could be blanketed to work for most peoples lives so it's more of a trick of the mind, I think. " She flipped the cards with her fingers, liking the sound of the hardened paper snapping together so crisply as she settled down into a nearby armchair. "I could try with one of you, if you like!"

"Oh, that would be fun," she replied, smiling. She glanced briefly at Erin, but the look on his face spoke volumes about what he felt about a reading for him, so she volunteered, "I'd love to get a reading!" She settled on the edge of the seat, giving Sil a mock-stern look, "It had better be happy, though."

Erin took the opportunity to move further away, not wanting any chance of the cards being turned on him next. He went to the kitchen and busied himself making the hot chocolate he had almost forgotten about. He wasn't very good at that sort of thing, but he tried anyway. Though he didn't really want any part of the reading, he still listened intently, glancing over now and then.

Sil laughed in the face of the stern look. "I don't think I'm really in control of whether it turns out happy or not... It's all luck. I could lie though, if you prefer, and make it sound like a fairy tale that ends in happily ever after."
She stood, moving over to the same table that she had used to give Lavi his 'reading' before, though she had already decided a shorter 'reading' was in order. The simple three card reading seemed like the best choice. Without any real theatrics or precision, she shuffled the cards around and spread them out in an arc along the table. The tan backs of the cards were patterned gold, delicately detailed with bits of silver, though the cards certainly looked worn. She wondered who used to own them before she had found them. "Pick three cards and lay them out in front of you in the order they're chosen."

"A fairtytale, that sounds nice," Michiyo remarked as she moved to the table along with Sil, sitting down in front of her. She listened carefully to the directions, before turning her attention to the arc of cards on the table. They all looked the same to her, and she picked out three cards randomly, picking the first one her eye landed on. One card from the left, right and center, placing them in front of her in order. "Alright."

Sil laughed. "Well, lets see how it works out for you on it's own... For this, the first one represents your past, the second your present and the last your future." She reached over and flipped the first card over, revealing an upward facing card with five swords stuck throughout a tumbling shack. A man lay beneath it, smoking opium.
"The Five of Swords... The meaning that I remember from this card... is not the best," her mouth tightened in a straight line as she was unsure if she was remembering correctly. "The card represents conquest over you in your past. They have led to the destruction of others and dishonor. Adversaries that arose in your past helped lead you to this path, and eventually led to revocation... Like... you were reprimanded, or some power or freedom was taken away from you. " She tilted her head a little bit, feeling like her description didn't fit the woman sitting in front of her; her descriptions were vague because she didn't really know how to dress up the explanations. "I don't know if that sounds much like you at all."
((One card at a timeeee. I did legitly pick these at random believe it or not. xD ))

Michiyo listened with interest to the explanation of the card of her past, the image itself meaning very little to her. When she came to the bit about her actions hurting others, her heart sank, a hollow feeling forming in her stomach. Hadn't her friends just recently gotten hurt worse than they would have, had she not hidden out in her room? And then of course there was that incident back at the Asia Branch...
It wasn't until she got to the end, that Michiyo perked up a bit, glad for something to remark upon, "Well, I guess all of us has had some freedom taken away from us. I didn't choose this life, after all," she told her matter-of-factly, not letting any of the earlier emotions seep through.
