"It's ok. You need not apologize. I was pushing buttons. Or aiming to at least." he admitted earnestly. "So how close are we?" Soma quickly clarified "...to 'home'" He analyzed his last word. Home. It almost seemed foreign. Roaming had piqued his interest as of late. He began to itemize the things that might require some acclimation courtesy of the new lifestyle he had "adopted." The list grew. Nothing he couldn't handle.
Before a response was administered, he could almost feel the answer. His mind conjured up a multitude of ideas for the design of their destination. Certain, one must fit the bill.

"We're almost there, it's just up this hill, " Liv headed up the slope.
On the other side of the hill sat a large, expensive-looking mansion. The mansion had several stories, and a long drive with a tall gate that led to the front door. Luscious gardens surrounded the entire place, complete with large fountains and statues. She smiled a little at the sight of it, her heart warmed at the thought of home. She wondered if anyone would be around to greet them as they made their way up the long drive and through the massive front doors.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" Liv called, but when she didn't receive and answer after a few moments, she determined no one was around after all, "I guess everyone is out...or else at the opposite end of this place," she laughed a little, referencing how huge and maze-like it was.

Good news. This respite should be enjoyable. He thought. As the pair crested the hill, Soma laid eyes on what he knew would be his new abode. Taking in the sight of it all, he realized that his idea of "dreaming big" had been left wanting. His gaze widened a little as the view of this reality exceeded his expectations. A rare occasion for him.
This new residence might have much to grow accustomed to, but Soma theorized it would occur rapidly. As they crossed the threshold of the entrance, all things inside felt familiar. A deja vu sensation washed over him. The farthest corners of his mind whispered within the confines of his head space "...it is good to be home."

"How long has it been since you've been back?" she asked. She saw the look of awe on his face, and wondered if he had even been there to begin with. How would that even be possible? She hadn't seen many of the other family ever, it was true, but certainly they still came and went. They had to all know where their home was and what it looked like, didn't they?
She decided to outright ask him, frowning, "Have you even been here before?"

The girl's question interjected between the now reverberating sounds in his head. This seeming intermission was welcomed. For Soma felt that the cacophony would resume soon enough. "What was your question? ...Oh, right...no, I have never been here. But I can't help but feel that I know this place."
His mind felt crowded. As if another crop of thoughts had now flourished from a seed planted in an almost antique recess of his consciousness. It seemed to painstakingly creep it's way forward. Without viable effort, could this become predominate? Would that be detrimental? These thoughts froze Soma in catatonia for an indiscriminate time. He flooded his mind with thoughts of nothing in an attempt to ebb the flow. It worked. Better than he anticipated in fact. The valve apparently closed. He'd process this later.

Liv paused for a moment, frowning still, "....How can you never have been here before? We've been here for a while now. There's no way that could be right..."
Past the foyer was a second large entrance room. The floors were marble, and two staircases led to the second floor on opposite sides of the room. Many different hallways seemed to stem from the main hallway that wrapped around the entire edge. Liv headed for the stairway on the left, jogging up the steps.
"I guess...follow me, then, " she led him.
