She jumped sideways on the couch, nearly dropping her sandwich as he startled her. "Sheesh, make some noise when you move, will you?" she reprimanded, clutching her food tightly.

For a moment, she shot him a slightly disgruntled look, before giving in and taking a crisp. "Yes. Yes you did. And I am perfect today, thanks. You?"

"Sorry for scaring you," he said with a slightly guilty look when she seemed genuinely upset about it. He had almost forgotten how nervous she had been during the attacks. He remembered how he promised her he wouldn't leave her alone, and he made a silent promise to try not to scare her again.
"I'm doing alright, ready for a day out, though. I've been cooped up here enough!"

"A day out, huh?" She mused, stealing another crisp, "Anything particular you had in mind?" She went over the surrounding area, not really coming up with anything especially exciting. Of course, she remembered, she did need to make a run into town soon, but she could hardly do so with him in tow, given what she needed to get.

"Well..I don't know," he admitted. He wanted to think of something she would like to do, but he really had no idea what that could be. All he had ever found out was that the liked to read romance novels. He hung over the back of the couch and looked down, thinking on it.
"What kind of things do you like to do?" he tried to ask in a way that made it seem he wasn't extremely interested, looking at her quizzically.

"Hm, I could be a girl and say shopping," she answered with a grin, "But I don't think that's your idea of a good time."
She searched her mind for a moment, before it hit her, "Oh, I know! We could check out that little theatre, in town? They always have something interesting and different on stage every night, like a magician, or a contortionist!"
She shrugged slightly, trying to lower her enthusiasm a bit, in case he didn't like the idea but would go along with it for her sake.

"Truthfully, I would be okay with anything you wanted to do, " he replied quietly before getting more excited himself, "That sounds great!" he grinned widely.
He had actually been thinking of some type of show himself. He had figured that if she liked dramatic novels, perhaps some show would interest her. He grinned to himself at the irony of how they had thought the same thing. Hopping off the back of the couch, he stood up and tapped his chin.
"Do you think we should wear something besides our uniforms?"

She grinned along with him, glad that her idea was so well received. Standing up as well, she frowned, looking down at her attire, "Our uniforms do stand out a bit..."
She paused, going over her closet in her mind, which took an embarrassingly short time. It was her uniform, the two dresses she borrowed, and some old stuff she hadn't worn in years.
"Then again," she continued, smiling, "Maybe they can get us in for free? There should be some perks for being in the Order!

"I guess that's true," he grinned. He was too lazy to find something else to wear anyway, "Shall we?" he offered his arm as he had done so many times before.
He was elated at the prospect of doing something outside the Order with Michiyo, just the two of them. Though he wouldn't admit it, he had been hankering for this chance for a while. One way or another it always seemed something got in the way of them spending any time alone.

Matching his grin, she moved around to his side of the couch to take his arm, "We shall."
It wasn't until they had let the great wooden doors of Headquarters fall shut behind them, the still slightly cold night air cooling her face, that something seemed to change. Glancing at Erin, then upwards at the night sky clear and shining with stars, down to the village with it's lights warm and inviting, a certain familiar feeling squirmed in her stomach. The uncomfortable nudge brought her back to the ballroom at the Christmas party, and she had to fight the urge to create some distance, like she had back then.
With a shake of her head, turning it slightly away - thankful for the relative darkness in case her cheeks had once again betrayed her - and a tightening of the muscles of her abdomen - an attempt to get rid of the squirms - she blurted out some idle chit-chat, "I hope they have something fun on stage tonight."

Erin didn't notice anything about Michiyo's behavior, as he was too filled with glee to. He too looked at the sky, the breeze ruffling his hair. He smiled at the beautiful night, and a little at the beautiful girl on his arm, though he kept the thought to himself. He was a little nervous himself, but was mostly filled with excitement. He looked at her when she made her comment.
"Yeah, me too. I'll be disappointed if it's something crap," he laughed, though he knew he would probably still enjoy it thanks to her company.
"Maybe we can get ice cream or something after..?" he asked, testing the waters a little.
