Erin remained quiet once their teasing had stopped. At the mention of 'back home' he fidgeted. He hated to think of his childhood, of the place he grew up. Practically nothing about that time had been good for him. He hoped that no one ask him about it, and instead listened quietly to Kiah tell them about her home in America. He busied himself looking for the other things he had asked for, grabbing them from various cupboards. He waited patiently and thanked her when she had finished making their food, waving her off as she left just as swiftly as she had appeared.
