Coy?. He simply wanted to test her wits. The company he was forced to keep as of late didn't possess much strength in that field. Maybe he'd find a suitable opponent soon. Soma's mind paused for a moment. Family. He considered the word again and the facets it entailed.
Once more, he played the situation in his head. He quickly came to his conclusion.
"I have seen fury before. I have been fury before. How you acted back there, that was something else." he wouldn't out the girl, not even to herself.

Liv stopped in her tracks with a little stomp, her jaw tightening. She assumed nothing. Who did he think he was?
"Excuse me? You have some nerve, don't you," her tone was incredulous, and she turned to him with a glare, "You...you're not getting these papers back!"
Liv huffed and shrugged out of his coat, letting it fall in the muddy snow. She made sure to stomp it as she headed off again by herself, "I'm going home."
(( P.S. .....I have no idea why Liv is being so moody XD But I'm really amused by it. ))

Soma didn't like slaps in the face. He picked up his jacket and shook it. It was time to be more stern. He hoped that his words would stop her before he would have to do so himself.
"I saw you leave the cafe with that girl, Kiah, I think. Your meeting with her should stay between the two of us, don't you think? I'm not sure how the Earl would feel about it." he stated without look up from his jacket.
Dry cleaning, twice in one week. he thought almost shamefully

Liv stopped in her tracks for a second time, but she didn't turn around, "If you think he scares me, you're wrong. He's already done to me something I can never forget, what more can he do? Tell him whatever you want, but know that I have several people to back me up...people far more important to the Earl than the likes of you."
Was he really trying to blackmail her? She laughed inwardly.

Michiyo enters the Common Room, taking a moment to take in the expert way in which they've restyled it, before dropping onto one of the couches. She held up her arms in front of her face, a gleeful smile on her face. Time had done its work and all that was left of her numerous cuts were just thin white lines. With a sigh, she leaned back, arms thrown out across the back of the couch. It was good to be back.

Erin soon entered the Common Room himself, munching on a patty as always. He grinned and waved at Michiyo, joining her on the couch, "Yo!"

She waved back, matching his grin, "Hey. It's been a while. How are you doing?" After finishing up helping around here, Michiyo had gone over to the Asia Branch to help out as much as she could there, which took much longer than she thought, only just recently returning home to Headquarters.

Edit- I just realized, you didn't actually SAY where you were... sweatdrop ]
"I was wondering where you've been...the last time I saw you, was when-," he stopped himself at the thought.
The last time he had seen her, she had fallen asleep at the kitchen table. He had carried to her room and tucked her in, and the memory slightly embarrassed him. He hadn't ever really done something like that before, at least not for a very long time. He cleared his throat a little before continuing, "when...you fell asleep in the kitchen. It's good to have you back."
