Kiah stared at Liv for a second, not quite comprehending her words. Her grip on her gun tightened considerably, still trained on its original target, and she glared at Liv's retreating back. "Why would you even say something like that? I know who caused the fire, Liv. Stop making excuses for him!" Kiah screamed after her, sending a quick glance at the man before holstering her gun and dashing after the other girl.
"Liv! LIV!" she'd dropped her bag in the chase, running as fast as she had the day that Liv had been grabbed by that Akuma. When she had gotten about twenty feet away from the girl, she attempted to call out again, but couldn't manage more than a small gasp of pain from the cold air on her tired lungs.

Soma bolted after the two girls. Once he caught up with the girl in second place, he got in front, and stopped her. He took hold of her arms around her biceps. His grip was light. He was determined to talk some sense into her.
"Stop. Can't you see what you're doing to her? You obviously care about her. But your persistence is making things worse. Let this go for now."

((DB Y'all craycray. That one did feel kinda nice, which I'm happy about... means I might be getting out of my nasty dry spell finally.
Game face posts take too long to do in this setting. :'c They're too long... I just impose a nasty four paragraph minimum on myself unless it's dialogue in game face arena. xD

Kiah glared at the man stopping her before turning to the direction Liv had gone, panting a bit and trying to regain her breath. She shook his arm off and headed in the opposite direction, knowing that she wouldn't be able to catch up because of "Speed Bump", and kicking at the snow angrily.
"What would you know anyway!" she snapped back at him, knowing it didn't matter if she stayed with the man or not since he didn't have her files.
