A tip to help learn circular breathing is to use a glass of water and a straw. Blow through the straw then breathe through your nose with the pocket of air you keep in your cheeks. It helps you determine if you need more support too smile
I learned all this from a college student. He has mad skillz with this and I've somewhat got it down but it takes quite a bit of practice to get it right.
Happy Breathing biggrin

I'd try the water thing, but I don't have any straws. xd I'll probably just have my sister steal one from the restaurant she works at.

My friend has been trying to learn circular breathing for like 3 years now. He's beginning to get it though.
Ah! Forgot to introduce myself. I'm the Lovely Evil Midget. I've played tenor sax for about 5 years now. I miss being in my high school band. Um, not much else except for as my instructor used to tell me "Tenors are the outfit, Tubas are the earrings"

Okeydokey, so I was at adjudication today, and the practice room was messing everything up. It was SO HOT, so it messed up tuning and everything. Saxes especially.
It messed us up a loooot.

I've never gotten a whole box of reeds, so I have no clue what you're talking about, but I hate it when the sound sucks because of your reed. That's the worst.

My reeds are usually fine. I use Vandoren size 2 1/2, and they've always been fine. I get them in a box of ten, and they're individually wrapped, too. xd
