 Kris Letang celebrates his shootout goal that tied Sabres. Defenseman, with 2 goals in 21 games this season, pushed his shootout record to 4-for-4 with a shifty, multi-move rush through accumulatin' snow that finished with a high shot past Ryan Miller.

 When Crosby saw puck cross goal line, he spun toward jubilant Penguins bench n' jumped up n' down with his hands raised. "It's a great feeling and a great experience, all in all," said Crosby. "We've got some pretty decent weather. It wasn't too cold. I thought they did a pretty good job of trying to maintain the ice. And obviously when you win, it's a lot nicer."

Matt Bahr, 11 years 1979 Pittsburgh Steelers--1990 New York Giants  Rookie place-kicker out of Penn State played a supportin' role in Super Bowl XIV, bootin' a 41-yard field goal n' 4 extra points in a 31-19 triumph. 11 seasons later, in a 15-13 upset of 49ers in NFC title game, Bahr kicked 5 field goals--includin' a 42-yarder as time expired--to single-footedly propel Giants into Super Bowl XXV. 2 Sundays later, his 4th-quarter chip shot gave New York a 20-19 lead over Buffalo n' proved to be game-winnin' score.

Sonny Jurgensen, 12 years 1960 Philadelphia Eagles--1972 Washington Redskins  Jurgensen earned his 1st NFL title with Eagles in 1960, final season of his 4-year apprenticeship under Hall of Fame signal-caller Norm Van Brocklin. Duke alum took over startin' duties followin' year--earnin' 1st of 5 Pro Bowl bids--but didn't return to league's championship game until reachin' Super Bowl VII with Redskins at tail end of his career. Unfortunately, a tendon injury kept Jurgensen sidelined on Super Sunday while replacement quarterback Billy Kilmer struggled through a 14-7 loss to undefeated Dolphins.

Robert Parish, 10 years 1987 Boston Celtics--1997 Chicago Bulls  League's all-time leader in games played made his 5th NBA Finals appearance in 1987, when Celtics suffered a 6-game defeat at hands of Lakers. The Chief would play 9 more seasons with Boston n' Charlotte before Jerry Krause signed 43-year-old free agent to Bulls as a 3rd-strin' center behind Luc Longley n' Brian Williams. Parish played just 18 minutes in just 2 games durin' playoffs--but closed out his record-settin' career with a 4th championship ring.

Earl Cureton, 11 years 1983 Philadelphia 76ers--1994 Houston Rockets  Cureton spent most of his 12-year career coming off bench, fillin' a reserve role on a pair of championship teams. Detroit native came up with 76ers n' played behind Moses Malone n' Clemon Johnson on Fo' Fo' Fo' title team which rolled to a 12-1 record in 1983 playoffs. 11 years later, 36-year-old post player backed up Hakeem Olajuwon n' Otis Thorpe as Rockets eked past Knicks in a 7-game thriller.
