Van chuckled a bit. "It's like our little traveling group isn't a group so much as it is a family. And every new member we pick up is going to somehow join those ranks."

"You're right." Mala said, clearly amused by the thought. "I wonder what that makes us in this little 'family'?"

"Apparently the aunt and uncle." Van said with a little smile.
((Huh. My campus is having a nice little game of capture the flag in a few days. They're nice enough to make it wheelchair accessible. Still makes more sense than the wheelchair accessible salsa dance lesson last month...))

{That sounds like fun. As for the salsa thing...where there's a will, there's a way. XD}
Mala, feeling rather weak and drowsy, leaned herself against Van as they sat. She continued to speak even with her eyes closed. "It seems more like the grandparents if you ask me. Or at least, that would be me since I always seem to be nagging about one thing or another." she half-joked.

"More like one grandparent if you put us together. You've got the nagging and I've got the age." Van joked as he gently stroked Mala's hair. "The insanity of the past two days aside, I think you've gotten better about the nagging though."

Angel suddenly let out a soft sound. "My baby, is she hungry? I bet she's hungry."
Lupa, having slept through the whole thing, suddenly stretched and yawned. "What'd I miss?"

Mala chuckled. "You certainly don't look your age, though." she said, relaxing a bit more. It was almost difficult for her to stay awake. Every now and then, her eyes would flutter open only to shut again. "I'm glad I got better about the nagging, at least. If I kept it up, I might've earned a wrinkle." she joked.

"Mala just went to check on Riley and the baby and she was fast asleep. If she gets hungry or something happens, I'm sure he'll come right back." Van said looking back at Angel before returning his attention to Mala, seeing she was still tired, no doubt from her blood drain. "If you want to take a nap, you can. I'll wake you up if something happens." he said softly.

"Thank you." Mala murmured, snuggling closer before she would allow herself to fall into a light slumber.

"My baby needs me!" Angel wailed. "She's hungry, she's crying, so loudly!"

"I just told you, if anything was wrong, Riley would bring her back here." Van said quietly. "And could you keep it down? Mala's trying to sleep..."
((Just how long are we going to keep Jez away from Angel, anyway? I'm just wondering, since this is starting to feel like padding, and padding leads to writer's block. >_> Just give us a sign, man! While I leave you all to head to class.))

Suddenly, Angel's eyes latched onto Lupa and she gave a soft 'want' noise. She tried to lunge, but the chains held her back.
Lupa made a small, disgusted noise. "Were blood tastes good to vampires," she explained as she hesitantly approached. "Strengthens them more than human blood, which is why they generally avoid us. After all the ew Alek gave me for the bond, I should be okay, but..." She took a deep breath and exposed her neck for Angel, letting out a soft moan when she was bitten.

((While I have writer's block, I must take the time to mention a Crowning Moment of Funny that happened in class today. Everyone thought we were moving on to the next book, so most people hadn't brought their copies of the previous book we read, much to the professor's dismay as she had something planned. Six people however had brought their books, which led to the following. Professor: ...which makes seven books if you count my copy. *as if on cue, the professor's already coverless book suddenly fell in half which led to everyone cracking up hysterically*))
