Barick stepped in front of Aislin protectively and glared at Nikoli. "Hey bub, lay off." Barick warned him.
"Barick! That's not what he meant! Nikoli and Aislin are going to be part of the recruitment crew." Aegina told him. "They're going to be searching around Verspya for soldiers to add to our army."
"What army?!" Barick asked. He was starting to get confused.
"Our rebellion that we'll be using against the Academy. You and I are in charge of the soldiers. Aislin and Nikoli are going to be recruiting soldiers." Aegina replied.
"No way! I'm with Aislin!" Barick argued. Aegina sighed. She wasn't sure what to do now. She knew that Barick wanted to be with Aislin, but she was scared that if she let him loose, he might draw too much attention to himself.

"...Actually, they were going to go gather information, so we know what we are up against," Core said.
Kir followed her for maybe five steps and then he pulled his hand out of her grasp, "I love you, but obviously you're not okay with that!" He thought, looking hurt.

That was what completely did it for her. Lily completely broke down and fell to her knees sobbing. "I.. w-want to be... better f-for you!" She sobbed, shaking. "I -d-d-don't want for you to get h-hurt because I'm weak!"

"Really?..." Aegina was a bit confused. "But we still need more recruitments..." Aegina thought about it. They could do both at the same time. While they go to gather information, they could also recruit any worthy soldiers if they found some. Same with Core's group. But Aegina's group was mostly stationary, so she wouldn't be able to recruit many soldiers.

"...! What made you think you're weak?! You're the strongest person I know!" Kir thought. Blood rolled down his face as he knelt down in front of her and wrapped his arms around her.

"If I were strong that man would not have been able to hurt you if I was strong!" Lily cried. "You would still have your voice then! I've failed you!" She felt herself becoming more vampiric as she thought about it.

Kir hugged her tighter, "How the hell could you have known this was going to happen?! My losing my wing and getting my mind wiped. My stolen emotions. My lost voice. How could you have known that was going to happen?! Better yet, why do you think it's just your fault?!" Blood continued pouring down the left side of his face.

Aislin placed a hand in the middle of Barick's back and stepped forward, "If it's information gathering, I probably am the best bet, but," She hadn't heard that the new man was a spy, or assassin, and she preferred to work alone when she was doing a job like this, "Why him?"

Mana frowned and concentrated trying to block lily's and Kir emotions. "Do you want to go somewhere? at least get a little farther away from here? I cant block out the emotions that are this strong from such a close distance" HE said looking at Lydia apoligeticly.

"From what he tells us he's an assassin too," Core said, "If you two can be sure to not try and stab each other in the back then you should try and gather information."
"Lily shut up, right now!" Kir thought. His embrace tightened still and he rested his head on her shoulder, "I will never let you say that again! You were the one who keeps telling me that I'm not some weapon! Do you really see me as some lifeless object like that?!"

"No," Lily said and her shoulders drooped. She couldn't seem to convey what she was feeling and her pathetic attempts were hurting Kir more. she decided it would be better for her to stop trying instead. She just concluded that she was a stupid, ober-emotional creature.
