Anne looked at Will. "Well while Alex and I were at the mall getting gifts for Tessa, we were being followed by a man. We later found out that he was following me. It was my uncle Jack, my father's brother." She looked to the floor and back at Will. She was trying to keep eye contact with him. "My uncle is a cop, he didn't believe that I was being abused. He believed that his brother was a saint until I came along and ruined him. That I seduced him, and I don't have multiple personalities." She took a deep breath and her eyes averted to the floor. "When I realized it was him, I switched, I don't know what happened or who I switched with. It scares me, did I do something?" She couldn't keep eye contact with Will anymore. She was too ashamed.

Tessa slips her hand underneath the pillow. She opens the tiny box. She starts to cry, " You mean it Alex? You really mean it? "

She cradled her head in her hands. "I just put two and two together. When we woke up, we were naked, lying next to each other, and I've had that happen before." Anne wiped away her tears. "The one you met with the accent is Becky. Because of her I've woken up in a lot of places like that." She shook her head at all of the nonsense in this situation. "I'm sorry Will."

Alex holds her hand, "Of course. I'm lucky I found one that fit. I wasn't sure if I was going to have to come up with something silly like hey let's make wax hands. Now let's try it on." He slowly slides it on her finger, it fits perfectly.
(I have a wax copy of my hand by the way. Got it made at a renissance festival. It bubbled up a little bit but it's cool.)

Alex nods, "I figured you'd like something simple yet elegant. I was thinking of getting one of the really flashy ones but you've never been the kind of girl who needs to show off."
