To clarify, Doomguy is the guy from the Doom games.

I voted Duke, because, well, he is Duke Nukem. He can improvise so many weapons, he has various vehicles, took on an alien invasion by himself, and has good enough vision to see through sunglasses during night. And he did it with weapons that were primitive compared to the others, he didn't train to do it, he was just a natural. He also used a urinal as a weapon. Noteable weapons, jetpack, desert eagle, his boot.
Doomguy fought off demons by himself, went to Hell, and conquered it. He has made so many weapons standard in fps today, and he was the original space marine. Shotguns, chainsaw, BFG.
Master Chief has superior weapons, genetically altered, trained, and has regenerating shields. Though almost always had back up, he didn't take it on alone. Sword, grenades, many others.

Ditto, Master Chief wishes he was as deep as Doomguy, seriously. I'll drop some knowledge on you then. Duke Nukem is Manliness personified. Buzzcut, beefy, wears sunglasses all the time, smokes cigars, and has more one liners than a noob in the chatterbox. He's like if you mashed Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, and Bruce Campbell together with the body of Hulk Hogan. He uses all the basic fps guns, and then some. Think a tea bag is bad? Well, what if a guy rips a urinal off the wall and beats you to death with it? Yeah, I thought so. His close ranged attack? A size 15 army boot to the face. He has a jet pack, nuff said about that. The reason he does it? First game, the aliens start invading and abducting our women. Is that enough to get him off his a**? Nope, he gets mad when they interupt his stories. Later games, they come back for the same reason, then he does it to kickass and chew bubble gum, and he's all out of bubblegum.

Voted the coolest video game charactrer by ScrewAttack, and probably the manlyest to, it's sad his game has been in development hell, because if he wasn't, I'd say more people would be playing him than Master Chief.

The company actually has other games with him in it being produced right now, so others might come out before it. It's the hype, everyone knows of it in video game circles, and their reaction will spread through the industry, if it sucks, old school gamers will want to see how far it dropped. If it's good, they'll say it won't live up to the hype, but a past icon will return.
