"Damn, Hitmonlee move it!" That Rock Slide was an attack that Hitmonlee did not want to take if he was to stay in this battle. He was hoping for something he could counter with a power struggle, or at least something that he could have Hitmonlee power through for one last hit, but no such luck. Crenu didn't want to have Hitmonlee dodge and draw this out any longer, but he had no choice. Starting out with Revenge, using Jump Kick on a small target with still unknown potential, Crenu had been to hasty and sure of Hitmonlee's advantage. Truth was that because of the damage that he'd let Hitmonlee take was a gamble that they lost and now they were up against the ropes. He was just going to have to wait for an opening. Even Hitmonlee knew better than to try and defy the order. He wanted to smash the Larvitar into rubble, but he couldn't take another hit like that. It looked like Crenu really didn't know what he was doing, this situation was turning really annoying and there was nothing he could do about it under the command of this blond child. For now, he was going to have to use his legs for something other than kicking. As he watched the rocks rain down, Hitmonlee's leg muscles tightened up and contracted, ready to spring away when his right leg started searing with pain. His leg was still damaged from that missed kick only moments ago, was he really this weak? His leg gave out when he tried to push off of it and Hitmonlee only managed to fall over into the sand. The pain in his leg soon vanished and was replaced by an all over hurt as the stones pummeled him from above. Snadd and dust blew up into the air as the rock drove Hitmonlee deeper into the beach and when it had settled, he lay there like a like a discarded doll. Crenu recalled Hitmonlee and sighed, he had failed his pokemon this time. He didn't feel all that bad, his opponent was tough. Even though Ada was still a Larvitar, she was definitely more than ready to evolve. Crenu felt he and hsi pokemon had grown in this battle, and he was having fun. He still had Ariados left and he would have loved to continue this battle until he at least took down that Larvitar, but it was always a good idea to keep at least one battle ready pokemon in stock in case of an emergency. Besides, if he wasn't careful he was going to end up getting attached to another person, and that was a less than ideal concept. "Huh, you're as good as I thought you were. Looks like I had to rattle your cage a little to see the real fighting spirit I was looking for, didn't mean to tick you off to much." Crenu said with a straight face before he recalled Hitmonlee and turned away from the battle field. Back still turned he waved to Kasiya once as he started to walk. "Thanks for the battle, it was...interesting."

Mike found a great deal of amusement in Flannery’s would-be opponent running away in horror as he clutched his now crispy Pokemon. The boy stumbled off in a panic, nearly tripping over himself. “That’ll teach you to mess with my lady.” He let out a deviously high pitched cackle, making sure to be loud enough so the boy could hear. “Well, that was fun.” He said to himself as he hopped down from the stone wall, smiling at the nice warm feeling of the sand on his feet. As he neared her, his steps became more cautious; this of course being unnecessary, as sand does well enough to muffle any sounds of that manner. Nevertheless, it was habit. He lowered himself as to not alert her with his shadow and lifted his hands up. His fingers danced in anticipation as he mulled over just how to surprise her. Would it be the tired cliché that was ‘guess who’, or perhaps something a little more saucy?

Mike could hardly contain himself when as he jerked forward into action. He decided a simple double-butt-pinch would suffice; nothing too hard, but enough to get the point across. His thumbs and pointer fingers gripped both squishy cheeks and met halfway, delivering a loving, if not certainly surprising pinch.

Having finished her food around the same as Kirsa, Sasha too balled up her foil wrapping and looked for a suitable receptacle. After a moment of searching she found one: a lone trash can sitting by itself in the middle of the grass. Sasha raised her arm, and with practice precision-she missed the basket entirely. "Fils de pute!" she scoffed, quite frustrated by her sublime failure. Annoyed, she stood up and walked over, picking up the foil and dropping it into the trash, but not before say a few choice words to the defiant hunk of tin.

Brushing her hands off, Ms. Jennings returned to the table victorious. "Showed that little b*****d didn't I?" The word 'b*****d' enjoying a minor dose of her erratic here-and-there french accent. "So what's next?

Prickles, who had finally finished his first patty, got up from the table, quietly starting his second and final treat. The Cacturne stood beside his trainer in his usual spot two steps to her right. He seemed quite distracted by his human food, his eyes never leaving the engrossing patty as he savored his beefy reward.

Train gave a small giggle at the puffed-up Swablu, as did Pikachu, but she stifled the laugh and went back to eating, idly listening to the exchange between M.A. and her brother, piping up every once in a while so as not to be forgotten, then bursting out laughing as Ulani began to attack the Smeargle that had so recently moved on from the little bird.

When the meal was over, Train stood and did her best to stay out of the waiter's way, it being so obvious that he wasn't exactly having the greatest of days anymore. At Jae's question she responded with a small laugh,
"Of course not.~ See you around!" She bade the two farewell, then wandered back to the beach on her own, letting Pikachu walk rather than carry him, hoping to find someone to battle to help her Pokemon work of all the food they'd eaten, feeling perhaps slightly less shy than before.

Adamantine let her guard down only after Hitmonlee had been recalled into his Pokeball, and with her chest heaving the Larvitar retreated to her trainer's side. She looked up at Kasiya imploringly, and Kasiya nodded, knowing that the Larvitar was quite tired and wanted to be recalled into her Pokeball. Kasiya knelt down beside Ada and hugged her. "You were awesome, Ada," she said, nodding slowly. "And it doesn't matter if you ever want to evolve or not, I'll love you just as much no matter what shape you are." The Larvitar nodded, wiping away a single tear from her cheek before she disappeared in a red flash into her Pokeball. Kasiya held the sphere close to her chest, closing her eyes and smiling. She clipped the ball back onto her belt and looked around for her other Pokemon. Shocker had nudged Nova and the two were now making their way over to her. "Sorry for the wait, guys," she said, scooping up a dancing Nova who was holding her arms up, desperately wanting to be picked up. Shocker looked on jealously but let it slide - after all, she'd been with Kasiya longer than any of the other Pokemon (save for Ariel, of course) and it wouldn't hurt to let the baby Charmander have some cuddles for once... for a few minutes, anyway.

Kasiya looked up in time to see Crenu turn and begin to walk away after uttering a thank-you of sorts. "Hey, it was FUN!" Kasiya called after him, the thin smile she wore fading slowly as he walked away. Crenu had been different; more so than any of her other friends as of yet and she was sorry to see him go so soon. She sighed and kicked the sand, adjusting Nova in her arms (and she was a little certain that the Charmander already felt bigger and heavier...) before she started to walk a little, only now noticing the scratches on Shocker's belly. "Hey, what happened there?" she asked, more than a little concerned. Shocker simply shrugged and pointed up at the baby in her arms, and Kasiya chuckled. "You guys do a bit of training on your own?" When the Raichu nodded Kasiya sighed. She'd been so into the battle and concerned about Adamantine that she hadn't even noticed the two of them and their training. As she continued walking in the general direction of the Pokemon Center, Kasiya decided that she wouldn't dwell on it. Shocker was one of the most experienced Pokemon on her team and she trusted the Raichu not to go overboard, especially with a Pokemon so young as Nova. Oh drat, she thought suddenly, shaking her head. I should have asked Crenu for his number. Oh well, I'm sure I'll see him again soon enough. Kasiya then forced any bad thoughts out of her mind and put on a smile, determined to enjoy the rest of the Beach Party in style.

The Purple Sparkly simply 'oohed' and 'aahed' at the sight of the beautiful Swift stars arching towards Murkrow, who took the hit like a champ and squawked indignantly in reply. "The cute Aipom sure knows some dazzling attacks!" Anyone who was currently looking at the shiny trainer probably would have seen hearts in their eyes as they issued a counterattack. "But we have plenty of beautiful moves of our own, don't we, Murkrow-cutie? Why don't you show them how it's done with Mirror Move!" The Murkrow gave another squawk and twirled in the air, a few dark feathers falling freely to the ground below as she brought her wings together and then spread them apart, releasing a golden shower of Swift stars at Luffy.

Combusken, meanwhile, braced herself as the Psywave shot towards her. It was far too fast for her to avoid, but as the psychic energy slammed into her, she suddenly had the feeling that the attack could have been a lot more powerful, perhaps it had some randomness to it? She didn't get much time to ponder it though, as Jaeshan's voice soon rang throughout the air, clear to her as a bell. "Flamethrower, Combusken! Quickly, now!" Combusken didn't have to be told twice, and she took in a deep breath before she began to move towards the Misdreavus. After about three steps an intense stream of flames spilled from her beak and was sent towards the ghostly Pokemon.

When nobody acknowledged his presence, Aggron stomped his foot into the concrete, creating a loud crash. The dinosaur began to move through the crowd down the pathways, roaring at anyone who happened to get in his way. His tail swished around and smashed a cart into nothing, sending everything on top to the ground. Against his rocky skin he felt a spray of water. "Ggggroooon...." the beast turned his head to see a girl with a Squirtle just finish up a Water Gun. He lifted his arm into the air to perform a Metal Claw (using his new appendages for the first time) and swiped down.

"Aggron!" Kilik called out. He watched the Pokemon's claw stop short of Squirtle. "Get going!" he snapped at the girl. The trainer held up Aggron's ball and said, "Time to rest. Get back in the ball!" The red beam shot out and took over the Pokemon's body, bringing him back inside. People began to glare at the trainer, obviously angered at his lack of control. The boy slipped his hands into his pockets and casually walked away as if nothing had happened.

He took a short stroll down the the beach, and tossed the ball into the air. Kilik braced himself for the impact that would come from Aggron's arrival, and felt rather proud of himself when he got a good look at the giant. "Now look, I figure you want as much power as you can get, but stomping through town all you want is not the way to do it." The trainer crossed his arms over his chest. How dare he scold him! He just evolved and certainly had the right to flaunt it. He leaned down and stared deeply into his trainer's eyes, growling lowly. Oh how he could crush Kilik in an instant. Yet if it weren't for him then he wouldn't have evolved at all. Realizing this, Aggron backed off and stood straight. Again, he roared up into the air, but his voice was cut off.

Kilik raised an eyebrow and began to notice his Pokemon waver back and forth. "Ack!" the boy dove out of the way when Aggron came crashing down onto the spot where he stood previously. He was out cold. "Phew...seems that battle and evolving took a lot more out of him than he led on." Lifting his ball, Kilik recalled his new Pokemon and stared at the ball. "I'll get you to the Center, but first..." He dug his feet into the sand. I've wanted to do this for a while... he laughed as he held the ball up into the air. "I've got an Aggron!"

Like his sparkle twin green sparkle didn't seem all to bothered by being attacked, instead tears started to fall down sparkles face. "Oh those flames! They are simply marvelous!" To distracted by the beauty of the flames Misdreavus was left high and well on fire after that impressive attack. The poor ghost pokemon phased slightly but that just avoided the burn and the attack still hit dead on. "Ok now that we saw its wonderful flamethrower lets show them our psybeam!" Green Sparkle flitted around more and more sparkles appearing the happier it got. The Misdreavus ignoring her trainers actions started gathering purple psychic energy in front of her before releasing it in a bright beam right towards Combusken.

"Mirror Move!" Robin had heard of that move but she had never seen it before. She watched her mouth hanging open as a repeat of her and Luffy's last attack shot back at them. "Don't try to dodge it Luffy you can't!" Robin urged. Luffy just glanced back at Robin and nodded as he braced himself. He took the attack the damage was a bit reduced as Luffy was guarding himself. "Luffy when you can I want you to go for a Double Slap attack!" Robin wasn't sure if Luffy heard her through the Swifts explosions but it seemed like he had when he lept up his nimble body going through the air ready to strike down the flying pokemon.

Reassured that she was going to be with her big brother Aidan Alice nodded and grinned up at him happily. "All right if your going to be there I am sure you can chase that ghost away!" Giggling she hopped off Aidans lap and pulled his hand making him stand up. "It didn't follow me into the pokemon center but it might be outside."

Aidan just allowed himself to be pulled through the pokemon center by the younger girl. He had no idea what he would be encounter out here, it was probably some sort of pokemon. Either way Aidan was ready to help the little Alice out. As he was pulled out of the pokemon center his eyes caught something strange in the glass. It had almost looked like a skull... Shaking his head and clearing that thought from his head he allowed Alice to pull him around the side of the pokemon center. "It was back here?"

Alice just shook her head. "No it didn't follow me inside, but maybe it's hanging around outside the pokemon center?"

Aidan opened his mouth to say something but he was cut off as the one of the Bidoofs from before jumped out in front of them with an angry look on his face. It seemed like he was back for revenge. "Hmm is this the pokemon you saw?" Aidan asked as he pulled out Gibles pokeball and released her in front of him. The small dragon looked around she wasn't used to being let out so much so it was a bit of a surprise.

Clutching Aidan's leg Alice muttered a small no. This was the first wild pokemon she had ever seen that didn't run away. She was very glad when she saw Aidan's strong pokemon appear before them to protect the two of them. "The pokemon I saw was floating. It also didn't seem angry and didn't want to attack me, it just followed me..." Now that she thought back the scary pokemon from before didn't really do anything that was scary, it just followed her.

Once the two were sitting on the beach on M.A.'s towel, Sae suddenly felt the blow of both a round of awkward silence and a mild eruption of anxiety. M.A., blissfully unaware and enjoying the waves crashing over themselves, hummed to herself while stroking Tora's ears -- the elephant always felt drowsy after a big meal, so the girl figured it'd be a good chance for the Smeargle to catch her on paper in her sleep.

The Smeargle had wanted an action shot, but decided to settle for this opportunity. Tora still posessed something majestic despite her drooling; her back heaved with every snore, much like a hull of the ocean.

Though it was a peaceful scene, Sae began to bite the side of his mouth, an old habit that popped up periodically when he felt particularly restless. What could he be restless about, you ask? Well, it went a little something like this. M.A., his only little sister, was very likely going to disappear after tomorrow; he wouldn't be sure of where she was, how she was doing, if she was safe or not, etc. This... this perpetually smiling girl was gonna naively step into the world, and it ain't all playground out there. Sae's reaction was much like that of a parent whose goodie-two shoes child was going to walk by herself two miles to the town's subway station.

"Wutcha so worried about, Sae?" M.A. asked suddenly, glancing at her brother, a perplexed grin on her lips. Damn, the girl smiled throughout every emotion; or rather, she only knew how to project one. He worried about that too sometimes, even though it sounded silly. Sae had seen her cry exactly twice times after that one day he himself had made her cry, a week after Lynette's death some eleven years ago, and in both of those times his sister had seemed confused by the tears. She just really couldn't comprehend sadness, and so nonchalance usually took over instead. M.A.'s cheeriness was really only another case of habit; she smiled 'cause she was used to it. She was randomly sharp in the matters of others' emotions -- for example she could certainly tell when people were feelin' blue -- but how could she truly sympathize with them if she denied herself the ability to feel down? Sweet girl, just a bit two-dimensional. Maybe the world could touch her. It wouldn't get done in their comfy, sheltered little bubble of an abode where everyone smothered her with love and over-protection.

"I was thinking that if I treat you to lunch again, the invitation doesn't extend to Tora," he said a couple seconds later, patting the wallet in his pocket. It felt much lighter.

M.A. laughed.

Flannery's eyes went wide when a pair of hands suddenly delivered a very unexpected groping of her rear, and it took every ounce of willpower the girl had to not wheel around and punch out the offender. Her back arched and she closed her eyes, deciding to use common sense to figure out who the unexpected-yet-gentle butt-pincher was. No one in their right mind would try a stunt like that after the battle we just had, she thought, smiling a bit. There is only one person on earth who would be brazen enough to even think of it... She opened her eyes and turned her head ever so slightly, her heart beginning to beat erratically when she spotted that familiar mass of brown hair. "Hi Mike," she said softly. Almost instantly their previous fight came to mind but she quickly brushed the thought aside. If he was here now, chances were good that he'd gotten past it, and that meant she should do the same. Torkoal looked up at Mike, puffs of black smog drifting up from the coals set in his back, and he let out an indignant snort followed by a pillar of cloudy, white smoke. It was as though he was warning Mike not to try any funny stuff. Flannery chuckled and patted the tortoise on the head; he was probably still a little worked up after battling with that Dunsparce. "Torkoal, relax! You know Mike," she said, her tone slightly scolding yet full of love for the fiery creature. Torkoal snorted once more, sending a small wisp of flame onto the corner of the towel, causing it to ignite. Flannery just sighed and quickly put the flames out by covering it with sand. "So how are you this fine day?" she asked, turning back to Mike. "Feels like I haven't seen you in days..."

Serenity padded silently back over to Mai, disappointed that the little Ralts had left so soon. She took up her usual place next to her mistress, lying down in the warm sand and resting her head on her paws. "Take care of yourself, Riza," 'Cammy' called out, wearing a slight smirk as the tall, dark-haired girl strolled away. She didn't know why but she had instantly grown a liking for Riza. There was just something about her.

"Since when do you care about these kids?" Leo asked with a chuckle, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees, his chin in his hands. "It's not like you, Cammy."

Mai shrugged. "I dunno, I just like her, is that a crime? And besides, our information shows that she's only just met up with our Brat Pack today, so I wouldn't really call her one the group."

Leo didn't get a chance to give a retort as a bit of static crackled through the earphones she wore. She held up a finger to silence the man, her expression changing from that of amusement from their previous discussion to one of interest, then finally to one of disgust and annoyance. Leo watched her with curious eyes, remaining silent as Mai rubbed her temples with her thumb and index finger and muttered something back over the two-way radio. "What is it?" he asked, sliding down the bench towards her a bit.

"That wretched Kilik," she replied quickly, glancing around as though she were looking for something to smash. "HQ just sent a message to let us know that his Lairon has reached its final stage."

Leo frowned. "Then that means..."

Mai nodded slowly. "...Aggron."

]A Grunt hurried into Giovanni's office, panting heavily. He appeared very flustered, and pale. "S-sir! Important news regarding the children!" Giovanni stood up from his chair, grimacing. "Didn't I tell you I didn't want anymore information sent to me about them?!" he roared, slamming his fist on the table. His hand shook with rage. Couldn't he enjoy his Scotch in peace? He listened intently to what the Grunt had to say, but the moment the name 'Kilik' was mentioned, he suddenly froze. "Silence," he muttered. He walked around his desk to the man and clutched his shirt tightly. "You come into my office unannounced, you tell me information I don't want to hear THEN you have the gall to mention him!?"

"Pl-please sir! I j-just thought it was important f-for you t-t-t-to know that h-his L-Lairon..." he gulped and clenched his eyes shut, "e-evolved today!" He found himself dropped to the floor. The Grunt looked up at his leader, struggling for breath and attempting to keep his heart from beating out of his ribcage. Giovanni dropped his hands to his sides. With every evolution came the risk of all of his plans falling apart. Certainly, he could handle anything that Kilik had, or any of the children for that matter. But what would be the point if they trounced all the Grunts rushing in to do the mission? "Get...out..." he growled. He watched the man scramble to get up and dash out of his office via the door leading to the lab.

Giovanni sat down in his chair, taking up his beverage into his hand. He swirled the liquid around and listened quietly to the clinking of the ice in the glass. Soon, it would be time for him to come to the beach and finally rid himself of those wretched kids. He clutched the glass tightly in his hand, "We'll see now who's will is stronger!" The cup shattered in his grip, the alcohol oozing down his hand, mixing with a trace amount of blood.

Kilik sighed and looked around on the beach. There was nobody around that he really knew. Again he looked down at Aggron's ball and came to the realization he should probably get him to a Pokemon Center. Putting the ball into his side bag, Kilik started walking in the direction of the Center. Now that he finally had his Aggron, it was about time that his Elekid underwent an evolution too. He couldn't like Napalm beat him to it. With that thought in mind, he tossed Cable's ball into the air. "C'mon out Cable!"

The ball burst upon and the plug Pokemon landed softly in the sand. Was it time to battle? He looked around for an opponent and found none. Master must have just wanted company! He scrambled up onto Kilik's shoulder like he usually did and smiled. Though Kilik buckled slightly under his weight. "You're gettin' big!" he laughed, "So Cable...what if I told you that we have a new friend?" The Pokemon cheered a bit. Hopefully this 'new friend' wouldn't become Master's favorite. Kilik nodded and took out his PokeDex, scrolling to Aggron's entry. "Yup! Take a look. Big ol' Lairon evolved into him just this morning!" Kilik kept walking and heard a thud behind him. His shoulder also felt lighter. "Elekid? Cable?" he looked around and noticed the plug had fallen off and was shaking in the sand.

"Oh, come on, he's not that scary!" he laughed, "You could handle Lairon, right?" The plug nodded. Sure, Lairon was fine! Once he got used to him, that is. But Aggron was much bigger and much scarier! "Just imagine Lairon standing on two legs! He's still the same. C'mon now, let's go." He picked up Cable in his arms and carried him like a baby. As he got closer to the Center, he caught a glimpse of familiar blond hair headed that same direction. She was being followed by a Raichu and a baby Charmander. When'd she get a Charmander? he thought. "Hey! Kasiya!" he called out, waving an arm. He picked up the pace and walked double-time to meet up with her.

M.A. had gently prodded Sae into some light discussion about his feature plans with his fiance to open up a Pokemon Conditioning shop, just to get that strange frown off his face. The guy worried about her too much. She would be fine, just fine! If she ever got into trouble, she'd find some way to weasel out, the brunette thought idly. Or have Tora blast a hole through the obstacle, if we weren't worried about damages.

Meanwhile, the Smeargle, slashing two finishing strokes onto his little notebook with his tail, finally finished his portrait of Tora -- and thus had no more interest in the somewhat obese elephant. He revealed his distorted looking art to M.A. and Sae, receiving some light applause, before he packed up his notebook into his dingy messenger bag and began to stagger away like a drunkard on the shifting sands of the beach.

"Hey, wait!" M.A. called, beckoning the artist back. "I like you," she said bluntly and simply, to Sae's suppressed chuckle. "Would you like to come and travel with us?"

The Smeargle dropped his bag on the ground, then put a hand under his chin to consider. His eyes drooped in thought... It took M.A. a second to realize he had fallen asleep right then and there. She tickled him, and he came back to life with a guffaw.

"Free transportation in a deluxe, air-conditioned Pokeball to see the world's wonders," M.A. persisted hopefully, wondering if the Pokemon would take the bait. It thought another second, nearly falling asleep a second time if not for Sae's loud clap.

The Smeargle slowly lifted his tail and scribbled, in cursive, these words in the sky: "Eye all-red-dy have a trainR."

"Wow, he's a literate one," Sae commented.

"That's a shame," M.A. sighed, picking up the Smeargle's bag and handing it back to him. "Then you should go back to him! He's probably looking for you."

The slow-moving Smeargle's whole disposition seemed to droop now, a melancholy look sagging on his face. He glanced at the ocean, then sat down to pull out some paint jars in his bag. Who said Smeargles could only paint in one color? And so the painter began to bring stick figures into life in the sky, telling his story.

Stick-figure Smeargle and Stick-figure Artist man were walking together throughout the lands, setting up their palettes and what not and painting the world. They were good friends, always laughing, breaking bread in alleyways whenever and finding food in whatever manner they could -- looked like the starving artist stereotype was true in this case. But they were happy. Then one day the Stick-figure Artist man was about to set out on a journey, and patted Stick-figure Smeargle's head. "Aisle B Back" Stick-figure Aritst Man's speech bubble said. "Weight four me." And so Stick-figure Smeargle waited day.. and night... day... and night... But there was no sign on the seas. A year later he overheard other people's speech bubbles -- the bubbles showed a boat sinking into sea in a storm, and when the rescue boat came the next day there was only wreckage, no survivors.

"He*s alife tho, Eye no it."

After this show, the paint splattered on the ground, sinking into the sand. M.A. "How awful," she demurred, a heart-string vibrating -- she was still smiling -- but with marked condolence in her expression. Imagine if Daemyn and her were separated like that! Meeting Daemyn had taught her love outside the faces she had seen since birth. He had been one of the very first to expand her horizons.

"What if I find a boat and we go looking for him together? Don't know what region's out there, but it's not like I had any direction in mind already," M.A. said easily. The Smeargle, however, was quite drawn to this easy-goingness. "Sounds lovely. Butt..."

"U gotta B strong enuff to take me their, Heim sure!" With that, the sleepy-looking fellow took a battle stance.

"If you want a battle, I'll give one to you," M.A. smiled, delighted. "'Lani, you're up to bat!"

Once their nails were in top shape, Jun dropped Pierre back off at the fitness gym and went roaring back to Solaceon Town in the stolen patrol car, Leeron in the front seat, admiring her new nails. In addition to the sunset scene, there were the brand labels"Ed Hardy" on them in little gemstones. Nails didn't get gaudier than that. Rosaline, meanwhile, was less than happy in the backseat, where Jun's god-awful driving sent her to the roof quite often. He'd better pay her back with a leaf trimming later; she was beginning to feel a bit fat!

And so the car ride continued, zooming past even Solaceon Town. At one point they passed the station, and Jun could have sworn to see his beloved Officer Jenny pointing a certain very unlady-like finger at him as well as a fist with her other hand. But he could never be sure, he was going far too fast, swerving past innocent bystanders and Pokemon alike. He also could have sworn that he saw Aidan and some weird looking beaver Pokemon, but there was no time to stop and admire him in action. He didn't want to miss his rendezvous time with Kana -- that was the only thing he was never "fashionably late" for, since his dear little sister might catch a cold waiting for him that late at night.

By the time he reached Veilstone, it was dark; perfect timing. He slowed his car to a silent crawl as he neared the Fighting Gym and dojo, cutting the engine off a block away as to not be heard. Per usual, he recalled Leeron and Rosaline to their respective Pokeballs -- depending on the given situation, sometimes he needed their help for a quick getaway, particularly Leeron's Psychic abilities and Rosaline's silent stunning. Grabbing his woven mesh bag, he set forth towards the institution -- the lights were still on, meaning Maylene or some other gym junkies training on like the adrenaline maniacs they were. So he slipped through the side alleyway until he got to the back, nimbly jumping up onto the top of the stone wall with surprisingly litheness. Beautician was a frickin' ninja.

Once over the gate and into the outdoor backyard of the place, Jun shimmied along the wall in the darkness, hoping not to be seen by a certain pain-in-the-butt Lucario who loved meditating outside in the night air. Jun planned these little break-ins on days that he knew Lucario didn't usually schedule a long meditation period, and until today he didn't really have any trouble circumventing the fellow. His luck right now, however, was that he stepped right on the silent Pokemon who stood up with vengeance erupting through his eyes.

"Shhh! Shhhh now, Lucario. Please don't tell anyone I'm home. Please?" The Pokemon vanished into thin air, leaving Jun very little optimism. Better hurry, he thought, tossing aside his previous precautions to hustle into the back training room. Kana said she'd clear the room and that she'd be waiting there.

And so the little eight-year old girl was, eyes shining brightly when she saw her older brother. "JUN!" the little girl cried, subduing her voice only under his insistence. She threw her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek fondly. "You haven't visited for a long time," she accused in a hissing whisper.

Jun looked down at the lavender-haired child and ruffled her hair with a wolfish grin unlike his usual dainty smirk. "Sweetie, what has your onii-san told you about conditioning your hair? No one ever said that you can't fight and have luscious tips!"

The girl giggled, stepping back. "Can't you stay longer this time? Daddy and Maymay went out for an errand."

Jun smiled woefully. He shouldn't, but how could he say no to the little girl in her night-gown, rubbing her eyes? Especially after she worked so hard to stay awake or him. "How about... I tuck you in bed. But we gottastay quiet and listen for car noises; I gotta jet if they come back. O but wait, because I might skidaddle out at any time, let me give you the check..."

Jun rustled in his bag. Rustled through it again. What the hell, where was it? He could have sworn he put it in this morning.

"You looking for this?" an angry voice interrupted. Jun sighed, and turned around to face his pink-haired sister, their aging father, and Lucario in the doorway. Here comes the shooting squad.

"Uh... Lovely weather, isn't it?"

At the mention of food Mitsu perked up. Somewhere along the mad dash and the healing she had lost her banana-nut muffin. Perhaps some hunry Pokemon had picked it up by now, but that was not the point. His offer had suprised the purple headed trainer. She didn't remember him being so kind and friendly. Either way she didn't mind, so long as he was willing to keep her secret. She smiled as she accepted his hand. Once off the ground and standing on two feet she said, "Where to?" She was ready to walk off, her mind already set on eating something but she suddenly froze mid thought. "Keegan," she began, "You won't tell anyone about this will you?" She posed it as a question, though it was really a request. She silently hoped that he would agree.

Karri was left hovering in the Pokemon Center. Mike had left, most likely due to annoyance, and so had that new trainer. She shrugged before eating what was left of Mitsu's muffin. The clumsy girl had practically thrown it at a poor boy's head while she was on a mad dash to who knows where. Well, food was food, and she was hungry, so the muffin was instantly teleported into her hands.

(( Two week late reply. And it's a rusty/bad post too. Sorry Andy. Dx ))

After a few moments of walking Nova began to squirm and wouldn't stop until Kasiya put her down on the ground. The adorable Charmander was content to run along at her trainer's heels, making a game out of it by lightly tapping the back of the girl's legs when she got close enough, but backing off again before Kasiya could catch her. "You really are just like Nitro when he was little," she laughed, remembering well how playful the Charizard had once been. So much has changed, she thought, closing her eyes and smiling up at the sky. But look where we are now... She opened her eyes again as she heard a squeak come from Shocker, and she turned around in time to see the Raichu get tackled by the overly-playful baby. It was obvious that Shocker wasn't too happy by this, but she quickly jumped to her feet and lashed out at Nova with her long tail, once again tripping the baby Charmander. Giggling like mad the mouse then dashed over to Kasiya and jumped up onto her shoulders. "Shocker, be nice," Kasiya scolded, looking back at Nova to see if she was all right. Nova sat up slowly, shooting a very dirty look at the offending Raichu, but she got to her feet just the same and continued to walk. Kasiya wasn't sure but she could have sworn she saw a twinkle in Nova's eye - the kind of twinkle that said 'I'll get you when you least expect it.'

The Pokemon Center was now well within Kasiya's sights, and she realized that she couldn't wait to be out of the sun, even if it was just temporarily. The beaches here were far different from the ones back home in Vermilion and for the first time in a long time, Kasiya felt the smallest pangs of homesickness. The feelings would be short-lived, however, when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. She looked around for the source, spying a familiar mop of dark hair carrying a yellow and black-striped Pokemon with prongs sticking out of the top of his head - Elekid! Grinning Kasiya slowed down a bit, and waited for him to catch up with her. "Howdy Kilik!" she said cheerfully, waving at her friend even though he was right there beside her now. "How's your day been so far? Lots of battles?" she asked, gesturing towards their destination, the Pokemon Center.

Shocker, meanwhile, readjusted her position so she could get a good look at the plug. Elekid was much bigger than the last time that she'd seen him and she gave a casual wave to her fellow Electric-type. Nova looked up at the tall boy somewhat apprehensively before deciding to hide behind Kasiya's legs until she felt a bit safer.

"Oh, just look at that little dah-ling go!" the Purple Sparkly squealed, twirling around on the spot. "And he's such a clever little thing, too!" Murkrow gave a fierce flap of her wings, bracing herself for Luffy's attack. The Sparkly duo seemed to be a lot more competent than they appeared to be, though, as soon as Luffy's flurry of hits had landed, Purple Sparkly once again set Murkrow on the counterattack. "While the cutie is close, Murkrow-dear! Dazzle him with your Wing Attack!" Another squawk escaped the dark-coloured bird and without any hesitation she pushed her body forward in mid air, spreading a wing wide, ready to bash it into the hopefully helpless Aipom.

Jaeshan, meanwhile, watched helplessly as the Psybeam was fired at Combusken. All the Fighting-type could do was bring her two forearms up in an x-shape to try and block it, and the beam smashed into her, pushing her back several feet even as her sharp claws dug into the sand. All Combusken wanted to do was leap up and crush her foe with her powerful kicks, but the fact that she was battling a Ghost-type made that impossible. She would have to settle with using her other attacks. Once the Psybeam let up Combusken took a step back, her chest heaving. Both of the previous attacks had been very effective against her and she knew she wouldn't be able to take much more. "Try another Flamethrower," the blonde called out. He wasn't one to repeat attacks, but it was about the only thing Combusken could really do against the ghostly Misdreavus. Combusken also knew how to use Rock Slide, which had the ability to hit both opponents (and score super-effective damage to the Murkrow at that) but he wasn't going to chance it with Luffy right there. Combusken flexed her arms a bit before dashing towards the ghost once more, this time waiting until she was much closer before unleashing her powerful Flamethrower attack.

As the confused and potentially deadly girl turned around, Mike did nothing to defend himself should she have turned her surprise into blind aggression. He merely flashed a semi-weak smile in her direction. He was quite happy to see her. In fact, there was nothing more he'd rather have transpired; he was just in too sour of a mood to truly appreciate it. With his current discomfort and the air around them still being thick with tension over their fight the other day, it was a bit of a bittersweet development. Still, he felt as if he should say something, so he did. "Yeah, sorry about that little thing with, like, yesterday and stuff. I really don't mean to make you worry so much, but I you have to understand that I just can't sit by when I know other people are in trouble. Most of all if it's one of my friends. I promise I'll be careful, and I know it's useless to tell you not to worry, but believe it or not, I can handle myself." More than you know, unfortunately His secret Magma training had helped him out of many problems over the years, and he hated all the times he had to silently thank those bastards for all the tricks he learned. "Not to mention," he continued, taking a more playful tone in his voice. "I have a feeling you wouldn't like me so much if I was just a boring typical trainer." He winked, hoping to dissolve the tense atmosphere and bring a more light-hearted one to the meeting, praying it wouldn't evolve into more arguing. Please. He just didn't have the strength for it.

Mike shrugged at Flannery's question, still holding on to his head with his right hand. "I've been much better, actually." he said with a noticeable frown, his perky disposition fading somewhat as he was reminded of his somewhat disappointing day. "My head's been hurting all afternoon for no other reason then it must be bored, and the other part of it is playin' tricks on me." he paused, sighing. He figured he wouldn't bother going into more details. She'd probably just think he was crazy. "It's just really annoying." He grumbled, adding an agitated snarl towards Flannery's Torkoal. "Not in the mood tortoise!" It was odd, because him and Torkoal usually got along great. He must have just sensed the initial animosity she felt because of their fight last night. Whatever. It was a paltry thing to even be bothered about anyway.

His oblique posture was starting to make his legs a bit tired. "This whole party is just not turning out as great as I'd hoped." He looked once more at his company, taking particular note to inspect the more...appealing areas. "Then again," he said, putting his hand to his mouth in thought, his voice and mood shifting once more. "Here I am standing in front of such a fine young lady, what more could I ask for?" He raised both hands, adopting a somewhat lustful look in his eye. Once again his fingers fluttered as he stepped closer to his lovely lass. "Hee hee hee!" he laughed, lunging forward, where he then proceeded to tickle the red-headed Gym Leader.
