Saya walked down the lane, eyes wandering as she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. As usual. Then, a wild crack in the pavement appeared! The expected trip did not fail to follow, nor the rather unlikely series of events that immediately followed that. Saya's trip just happened to coincide with the passing of someone pushing a cart laden high with fruit, causing her to bump into the tail of the cart, pushing it at a sharp angle. This caused one of the wooden wheels to pop right off, having already been weak from years of use without maintenance. With the loss of a wheel, there was nothing stopping the entire cart from falling over, and Saya actually being washed away on a sea of watermelons. The lane sloped sharply downward, so the melons followed the path of least resistance, and the entire cavalcade carromed down the hill, some of the green orbs bursting and spilling their sticky pink meat all over the place. The fruit vendor cried out in horror, he'd just purchased that entire lot, to try to sell at the event later that night. But it was too late. Except for a few lazy ones, the entire flock of fruit had flown the coop.

Hidden Fragment: Net Slum Scrap Heep
User ImageUser Image
xxxGeininX eventually forces themself off of the ground. They stumble in the junk and fall to their knees but get back up quickly. “It’s hard standing in this heap of crap,” the Morgana murmurs to themself. “You’re in Net Slum, the biggest dump heap in all of The World. What doesn’t go in the other fields, comes here. That outcast of this world GeininX included.” Randal barks in the distance before the sound of metal being brushed around is heard. Another bark and then Randal is seen rushing along the top of a pile of junk. “I’d advice the two of you to come to my house and rest a while before leaving here for somewhere else. Not to mention I need to find a thing or two around the house before I have to head out to meet somebody. In which case, I’ll hope you all will stick around until I head home again.” In all, GeininX didn’t know who was drained from the Data Drain other than them. Since they each helped in returning GeininX to Net Slum, the being couldn’t very well risk another Data Drain to send them back and send one or all of them into an unintended coma.

xxxAs well, GeininX was hoping to leave Net Slum and then return again so he hoped they would stay and recover their energy again before returning the Morgana back to net Slum. “If Randal or myself come around a little purple pig then we won’t have to stick around here for very long.” With a shrug of their shoulders, GeininX sets out for a cut off building off in the distance. For now, since the females could look at them and assume GeininX to be male, then they would be male. Though inaccurate, male nouns and pronouns would fit the current arrangement. “That building there is where I live. You can come inside or stay outside. If you come in then watch out for glass and live wires.” He almost forgot to tell them that. He didn’t want any chance that they could retaliate after being harmed in his home. “Randal come,” GeininX calls as Randal raises his head out of a pile of junk. The Morgana picks up a few scraps, parts, and bits out of the junk pile as he goes along. Randal rummages around a little more before coming up on the girls from behind. He would look them over before rushing up ahead and walking beside GeininX.

The two seem to have a private conversation before Randal dashes ahead and towards the skyscraper looking building that is cut down to only about to floors at best.

By the time the second man was consumed there was already a fine layer of Mamichi’s Maliae gel practically everywhere as it continuously rained down to the far reaches of the storm, the girl was truly more dangerous than her level of Chakra suggested, merely a fraction of Hedoro’s and yet she was capable of doing this with about… half her energy. Hedoro had caught her number so it was time to act as ¼ of the cloud was converted into gel and fell toward the Earth but Mamichi manipulated the shape so as to focus it into the areas she knew the remaining mercs were upon impact it would practically be an explosion of the gel a few had taken shelter those buildings suffered direct blows Mamichi would consume all those within without prejudice, she was up to 5 just like Hedoro, only 2 more mercs were left uncaught.

Noze carefully picked her way down from the rusted remainder of rickety remnants, scrap metal and discarded machines. Hopping nimbly off the last pile, she finally reached level ground, and spent a moment fastidiously adjusting her dress. even after hearing GeininX's explanation, she hadn't heard the emphasis, nor the capitalization, of 'The World'. As such, even after hearing it, she still thought he was just talking about any ordinary junkyard, not the peculiar and unique field that Net Slum was. Nor had she picked up on the true nature of just where they were, the unusual method of transport had seen to that.

At the mention of a chance to go in and rest, she nodded. Rest seemed worthwhile, never mind the fact that things were far from comfortable out here. Even with the mention of glass and live wires, it still had to be better than this, yes? Turning back as she heard another approach, she saw it was Randall, still running along like a beast, but now clutching an odd assortment of parts. Curious, did he know what those pieces were, know how to use or fix them? Or was he like a magpie, grabbing them because they were shiny treasures? No way to know, there was no reliable way to communicate with him that she knew of.

Next her gaze moved on to Kawari. She had remained silent, and even now was warily turning in a circle, keeping an eye on their surroundings. There were no obvious threats, but she seemed to sense something to be wary of. whether that was an internal or external threat, impossible to say. Surely, if it was something that posed a danger to the rest of them, she would announce it? Until then, better to not distract her, save a slight gesture toward their destination. She hadn't seen very many large buildings in her travels, but if she had, she might have recognized this as a section of one. As it was, it seemed an unusual house, with very rough edges, it looked like it had been pulled out of an even bigger structure. But where had the rest gone? No problem, she could always ask GeininX later, if it came down to it. He seemed to know a lot about where they were, after all.

Hedoro had just finished claiming a fifth victim, when she realized she didn't know for sure just how many more targets there were. Mamichi had never said just how many they numbered. That didn't bother her, keeping secrets gave you an advantage, if Mamichi was already aware of that fact, then she wouldn't begrudge it's application. It certainly didn't mean she was going to do anything less than her best, of course. As it was, not knowing how many targets there were, or precisely where they were, made this a rather difficult challenge. As well, her senses seemed to be growing distorted or faded. She didn't really see, not in that sense that most living ebings did. For the most part, she operated almost solely on tactile sensations, the sense of touch. Even for detecting her surroundings, all she did was 'feel' the water vapor in the air, and where it wasn't. Yet now... Now it was becoming more difficult to do that, why? The first possibility was that one of the mercs she had already claimed had somehow been tainted, poisoned. But she didn't think that at all likely. Both because Mamichi didn't seem the type to do something so underhanded. And also because she was fairly sure that she couldn't really be poisoned. No, this was something else. As her first real experience with another Meliae not of her direct generation, Hedoro had no way of knowing that she couldn't sense through another Meliae's substance as easily as water vapor, for some reason it was like wearing somebody's glasses when you didn't need them, it rendered things blurry, distorted. Time may deign to teach her that lesson later, but for now, she had no clue toward the source of this distortion, just annoyance at it's presence. Putting that annoyance to work as determination, she sped up, her five forms spreading out even more, trying to find at least one more merc before Mamichi got to the rest of them. Time was running ever shorter, if she didn't make a big push now, it might be too late.

Saya cried out in surprise as she enjoyed a rather bumpy ride down the hill atop a moving carpet of watermelons. Somehow, she avoided getting seriously hurt through all this, but clean? that was another matter. Her shirt, once a nice, crisp white, was now almost completely stained pink from watermelon flesh. Her hair was mussed up pretty badly, too, from the sweet juices. But the one object that suffered the most from this sudden fruit deluge, was none other than the festival that was still being set-up. Melons collided with stalls that had been selling flowers, jewelry, hot food, clothing, and more. All of it, burst apart at the onslaught of green orbs. The various shopkeeps cried out in rage at this little slice of chaos, each glaring daggers at the one they thought responsible. By some miracle fluke, not a one thought it was Saya, and instead they started berating each other. A few even stooped so low to pick up a watermelon and chuck it at another stand. This served as a rather obvious trigger for that most ancient form of war, heralded by a young boy selling papers. "Food Fight!" With that cry, even more shopowners joined in, even more watermelons, and chunks of melons, were propelled through the air. By this point, Saya had gotten to her feet, and picked up a large piece of watermelon. Not to throw, but because it looked tasty. Not eating food off of the ground seemed to be yet one more lesson she had failed to cotton on to. That may well have been fortunate, as cotton was awfully hard to clean when stained with watermelon juice.

User ImageMamichi started to draw in her gel changing the storm back to regular water, aside from a few homes she had managed to leave the city nice and undamaged… a few vagabonds got caught up in her gel storm but they’d likely not be missed. Mamichi continued to home in on her target, she didn’t plan on winning she would claim 1 of the remaining mercs and then give the other to Mistress Hedoro to capture so that she wouldn’t lose, but she continued to draw in the gel to her main body only to convert it back into it water and simultaneously she was retrieving the final one she wanted and the others as well as she collected her extension of gel toward the residence she sat on top of. The very residence her target took shelter in slowly but surely the gel turned water would flood the home trapping her prey or forcing it to evacuate from its’ hidey hole, something hunters called ‘smoking out’ their prey, it was rather ingenious except she was using water instead of fire, if she wanted to she could use the flame gel but in this storm it would likely be ineffective.

In the past three years the rather squeamish innocent Mamichi had developed a cruel streak as she watched at the feet of Hedoro, it started to show rather immediately, she quickly got over her dislike for live prey as a matter of fact Mamichi started to play with them before they died hence the game they now played with the lives of a dozen Mercs. This final bit was her sadistic side showing this final target wouldn’t die quickly, her favorite way to go about it was to manipulate the water inside their bodies by forcing herself inside of them, once inside she would wreak havoc twisting the blood rich muscles, rupturing veins, and several other cruel practices. Mamichi didn’t exactly know why but she rather enjoyed it making others suffer. Hedoro didn’t seem to mind it except when it was distracting her from something, like when she was sleeping, Mamichi gave a wide inner grin as she felt the movements from inside rushing to the door soon it burst open and Mamichi shifted falling from her perch directly on top of her target she wrapped herself around her and instantly force some of herself into her lung killing her instantly.

Mamichi shed her exterior she was working out this move she wanted to experiment to see what Hedoro would do, she filled her lungs and spread through her body and manipulated the body into a standing position it was… difficult such awkward things these ‘humans’ but she directed her meat puppet in a way that clearly showed there was something off about this, perhaps they would mistake her for undead, that would certainly be interesting might make a good prank sometime but with the release of her exterior the rest of the gel would be returned to water instantly.

After a time, Hedoro's senses began to refocus. Was she becoming accustomed to whatever that odd distortion was? No, she could almost feel it, and whatever it was, it was fading away, and normal water vapor was filling the air and area once more. Now, she could truly strive for any remaining targets. Even so, she had lost a lot of time during that blackout. She'd have to start playing to win!

She hadn't wanted to do this. Both for the fact that it was simply indiscriminate, and also because it wasn't just relying on her own abilities, but also that of an item. In this case, a flute, but it may as well have been a crutch. It slid out from her arm cleanly, and without bringing it to where her mouth appeared to be, it began to play. A soft tune, yet it cut through the constant patter of rainfall, filling the air with high notes, causing a slight bass tremble at the lows. What purpose could this music have? At first none, but after a time, it seemed to have led her to what she was looking for. The final mercenary. They were no longer hiding, they had sprawled over from their hiding spot, blood trickling from their ears, being diluted by the still-falling rain. They were still alive, but it wouldn't be for long. And while they remained conscious, they'd be trapped within a particularly nasty hell. She seemed to remember that the human sense of pain was widespread in it's range. Virtually anywhere on a human that was stabbed or cut, they'd feel pain. She intended to test that, both externally, and internally.

Even so, they didn't seem to gain any fresh stab wounds, instead, they just writhed and twitched, small convulsions as they frothed at the mouth. Without them even playing anymore, the hunt became less interesting. So she grabbed them up, and debated adding a little twist on this game. As well, she'd be able to see first-pseudopod just how well Mamichi might react. Without giving any sign that she was potentially done with her own hunt, her other four forms continued their search. The one who had snared this latest victim, however, seemed to change. Translucent blue substance slowly gave way to a more disturbing appearance. It took a moment's complete concentration, but she'd done it. This section of Hedoro now looked exactly like a human! And a human wandering the streets right now was a target. Would Mamichi fall for it? She may look exactly like a human, but her movements were clumsy. The same problem that Mamichi was having manipulating her corpse, actually. It was difficult getting used to all those sloppy muscles, sinews and bones!

User ImageMamichi was slowly but surely figuring it out and stumbled about in this strange body the woman was rather slinky and lithe, Mamichi was starting to have a rather caustic effect on the internal organs… as well as the bones and muscles, and she was liquefying them and filling herself into their place. This made it a lot easier to control it was basically like wearing a costume instead of manipulating a body, though Mamichi would have to be careful now to keep the skin intact and not just dissolve it, though it was easier to move the fact she was contained made it so weird to make herself mobile, it was like someone trying to be agile in one of those Mascot uniforms she had seen in one town they were fine until it got to the head which was ridiculously oversized, But Mamichi made it to the street and stumbled around making movements that were impossible for humans almost as if she were a poorly managed marionette, the rain wasn’t letting up quite yet but it wasn’t as hard at it was now no longer under the control her jutsu. There was no one outs- then she saw it a girl just walking along… rather oddly perhaps she was injured and Mamichi made a beeline toward her… well not so much a beeline as ‘all over the damn place’ line. Mamichi sort of ground to a stop near her and instantly realized that she had dissolved all the bones and organs and muscles so she had no eyes in this head or a skull to hold it together, it was one of those you don’t know it’s impossible that you’re managing to do something until someone tells you and you instantly are unable to do it anymore scenarios and the whole thing collapses on Mamichi the body sort of fell over spilling her out of it and spread across the ground carried quite well by the water which prompted Mamichi to force herself to form herself. She looked at the girl. “Uhm… have you seen a beautiful woman around here, she’s blue, kind of looks like me but like a thousand time more beautiful and majestic and she’s strong and tall and perfect and beautiful and sort of busty though I suppose I could be too if I wanted but I wouldn’t want to copy her but she is amazing and beautiful and the most amazing color of blue and smart and pretty and nice…” Mamichi sort of just trails off looking rather starry eyed imagining her beloved Hedoro subconsciously harvesting water to restore her usual form of a sort of little girl version of her mistress Hedoro.

Hedoro ignored much of the world at large when she had first transformed. Partially, because she had to. Humans were limited in that they could only see what was right in front of them. The last time she had taken this form, and tried looking behind her, she had fallen over. Apparently human bodies couldn't even twist a full rotation, let alone more! So limited! But they did have their perks. Actual vision, for one. She had forgotten just how vibrant colors could be, actually seeing them for the first time in months. You couldn't feel color, after all, this was a sense that she had almost missed. So now, she was looking around as she moved, or rather, once she had gotten the hang of moving. It was almost like working a series of pulleys attached to still more pulleys. One pulled on the end of another, causing the limb to bend just so... Far too complicated, yet the fleshlings were able to do it. That meant she was able to as well. She just had to learn how first.

It had taken several minutes of walking with a rather crude manner; short stomping steps, as if each foot weighed much more than it actually did, before she got the hang of it. But finally, she was moving around more or less under control. That was when she noticed the appearance of Mamichi, right in front of her. No warning through her normal senses, a human's sense of touch was limited only to what their physical body made contact with. and she'd been looking the wrong way at first, by the time she swiveled her head back, the skin shell that Mamichi had been using had already burst open, and she was reforming herself. After hearing what Mamichi said, Hedoro's arm twitched, seemingly a muscle spasm. Odd, that hadn't been what she had intended. Concentrating more on it, she succeeded in her second attempt. Namely, that of bringing her open hand up to her head in an expression of mental exhaustion, a facepalm. Odd, how complicated such a simple action was. Humans were so limited!

Even then, though, she didn't answer in the positive. "N-nnnu, aai Hafunt zznnn herr..." Controlling the human tongue enough to shape sounds was an exercise in frustration, but hopefully her reply of 'no, I haven't seen her' would still be understandable. It wasn't a lie, either. After all, her eyes had only formed after she had begun changing, when she was no longer in the form that Mamichi was speaking of. Once she had replied, she just stood there, arms dangling limply at her sides. She was curious, was Mamichi this friendly to all strange humans? Why hadn't she attacked already?! Sure, humans attached great importance to their children, but this one was alone and unattended, it was a perfect target.

There were two sides to this plan of hers. The first was to test Mamichi, make sure she was properly ruthless at all times. The second, was to distract her, give the other four Hedoro-selves time to hunt down as many more of the mercenaries as she could find, however many more of them that there actually were. Mamichi had an advantage in her sheer range right now. But she hadn't seemed to learn how to fully divide her concentration into multiple forms, that was an opportunity for her to act. But first, she'd wait and see what Mamichi did next.

Saya continued to munch at the fragment of watermelon that she had picked up off of the ground, heedless of the sheer chaos that was happening all around her. Oh, this was a whole other level above sheer obliviousness. At some level, surely, she had to be aware of what was happening. After all, assorted bits and pieces of melon bombarded her as she walked. Yet she was never the direct target, she was just skating around the edges of the ice rink of chaos, yet not slipping.
Finally, she had finished the melon, and tossed the rind in a nearby garbage can. Only to hear a muttered oath, it turned out that she actually had missed the can, and hit the person who had been hiding behind it. They straightened up, revealing that they were a ninja, and a proper one at that. Dressed head to toe in the outfit generally reserved for a Chuunin, replete with padded combat vest festooned with countless pouches for all manner of tools and such. They frowned at her, but didn't get too mad. First, because it was just a piece of rind, nothing that had actually hurt. And second, because they were a native of Hidden Love, same as her. And as a whole, the people here didn't get mad. Oh, the merchants could certainly grow irate if you messed with their profits, as the chaos all around them indicated, but by and large, the people here were friendly to a fault.
When Saya saw just who she had winged with melon, she went up and apologized, at least she was considerate. They laughed it off, and only then did she notice their headband, and comment that she had one just like it. She pulled it out of a pocket, she hadn't even put it on yet. The Chuunin was, of course, surprised to see a new member of the elite of Hidden Love act in such a scatterbrained manner, and asked if she had much training.
Training? Oh, I love trains! Choochoo!
The sound of melons splitting hid the sound of a palm striking the Chuunin's face. He couldn't allow this to pass, someone so obviously unlearned would bring nothing but bad luck to the whole of the village's ninja's, maybe even to all of Hidden Federation! No, he'd have to teach her a few things himself, and hope for the best. He told her as much, and was relieved when she agreed. Teaching her would be just as easy, he mistakenly assumed.
He started simple, explaining a few of Hidden Love's techniques even as he tried to dodge the bits of flying melon. Saya didn't bother dodging in the slightest, yet she seemed to be doing better than him. Curious. She also wasn't paying all that much attention to his explanations. However, when he asked her, she was able to answer with replies that were more or less correct. Likely far better than she would have done yesterday. Then again, she hadn't even been a ninja yesterday, so that was rather a moot point. Funny word that. Moot. With the determination granted her by mystic Moot, Saya felt a revalation, and showed that she had indeed caught on more than expected, enough that she had actually shown to be able to perform a few of the techniques the Chuunin had told her about. Not all of them, that would be an utter miracle. But some, and that was a pretty good start.

Clicks of very small German jackboots could be heard with eminence of feebleness heading pressing up word the gravel trails "Dur...It vent from 'hot' to 'boiling.' Nien." Oxide said speaking softly only to himself while climbing up the mountain. The dark uniform he wore on that hot day didn't make 'Hidden Volcano's air streams any cooler or the climb under the sun any. After coming back from the academy, The small Chibi solder had just left the Hidden leaf academy training grounds not really learning anything what so ever and traveled back to his home...to his. . . "MY VOUSE IZ Z'ON FIRE! NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN!" Oxide said screaming running in circles looking for source of water. The home was in a hot inferno. He had to find water quickly but the thing was, he had probably already been too late. A large flaw in the villages on top of the volcano's design was because of there is always being precautions of clans controlling the magma so the volcano could be a safe fire free environment for animals and people. No one ever planned for people to START fires. All that there was, were few puddles and large ponds at the bottom of the volcanoes' ridge line. With no time at all to spare, little Oxide ran swiftly down the mountainous volcano and headed to the ponds that were at the bottom of it all. Being tired, Oxide still ran all the way down the mountain structure to the water souses leaving tracks of his heavy German boots, and the reddish orange pigment dust trail of the volcano behind him.

As he ran to the bottom the scenery became more urban. Small brown wooden shacks would house some farmers or family's, their were large green pine trees appearing along the trains on way back down that had a outdoorsy scent. It was only highly urbanized because only few daring and brave decided to settle so far away from fire country. Well sure they had the large umbrella that was the "Hidden Volcano" village, but they were miles to miles up the mountain. The only thing out of character from it being perfectly peaceful and relaxing spoiled by the youth of tranquility in the small woodlands would be the short screaming chibi nazi, eyes wide and mouth flapping in the wind from running so fast. The dust behind him settled onto the gravel trail every time he tripped and or fell over (sometimes even began to roll down the hill).

Once Oxide reached the bottom he had tall evergreen pine trees overhead towering every living being in their massive height besides the stone Volcano which was practically alive since it contained so much magma inside its thick stone structure. He looked around for some kind of way to contain water like the volcano contained lava. Nothing convenient the small Nazi child uses his very own World War II German commander hat to scoop in very few ounces of water than ran up the Volcano once more. He ran quickly, white eyed. Instead of dust behind himself this time it was now replaced with the occasional fragment sized gravel being kicked up, lots of droplets of water out of his gray commanders hat, and a supple amount of tears trailing behind him, A LOT of tears. He ran threw the woods and reached the red dust of the mountain, seeing his homes smoking up from the bottom he winced at the sight of the large very thick black smog.

Oxide returned to his home after the climb. He had been fallowing the black smoke clouds caused by the fire all threw the way up the man made gravel trails. It was beyond gone, totally destroyed beyond repair. How could this happen!? This Volcano was supposed to be safe, the magma was being guarded by strong chakra'd clans men at all times. Oxide took a moment to think. He also looked around the perimeter as well. Very un pleased with how his thought proses was. Why would his house catch fire not even being half way up the mountain. His house was almost to the middle of the mountain. Ever since being thrown off many roofs for 'supposedly' testing out secret Nazi human flight experiments Oxide had been afraid of heights ever since. He had made sure not to be housed up that high from all of the German harassment. Looking around the burnt remains he found a white paper with a stamped envelope tied with a small string in a bow tie to a heavy red brick. It must have been thrown threw one of his window and shades near by, judging by the amount of glass and burnt up shredded drapes near by. The paper letter looked un touched, it had landed with the envelope facing the floor so it wouldn't burn in the houses inferno. Oxide picks up the smoldering warm brick. He dropped it at first from it being still very hot no doubt. After all it had just been cooked super well done in a house fire only minutes ago. He reached for his Gray coat pockets and unbuttoned one specific pocket which contained some small black leather gloves his size. He reached into that very pocket and pulled out the leather gloves, then the Chibi Nazi quickly put them on and used them to untie the black ashed covered string from the brick over it. Oxide picked up the paper and ripped out the letter from its envelope. Reading in his head the letter said.

"Dear Mr Very Short stubborn stupid a*****e little Dumbass Nazi,

The war you had never even fought in has ended. Many years ago in fact!

P.s : Spoiler alert! Germany lost!

Love, The Red Army."

"The Red Army?" He read aloud then shouted in anger. "RUSSIA! NEIN!" Oxide then began crumpling the note very mad with and at the mean letter his World War II adversary or multiple adversary's have had left for him.and throwing it into his homes black smoldering ash pile. For he would never see his home again he didn't care if he threw any litter at all torts it. Oxide was now homeless all because of a 'scorched earth.' But he had never seen it in action let a lone an attack.

Oxide falls to the ground kicking and screaming like a small child having a 'hissy fit' now that he had lost everything to the Russians that burned down his home. He was always unfortunately a victim. "It V' Will Change v'one day. Nein..." He said growling. Poor Chibi Oxide...

Hidden Fragment: Net Slum Home of GeininX
User ImageUser Image
xxxIt wouldn’t be long before they would arrive at the building that had two floors remaining, at best. GeininX enters through the open doorway and tosses the things he’d gathered onto a pile near the door. “Wonder if that beast figured out what I said. He probably only understood toys,” GeininX groans. He would motion deeper into the building to see shattered glass across the floor, bits of the concrete ceiling having caved in at the center of the floor, and wires dangling from bits of ceiling and from spots on the floor. Home sweet home. Randal seems to bark before digging himself out of a pile of scraps near the doorway. He pops his head out first, a ragdoll in his mouth, and shakes it bout. Indeed, Randal had only understood toy. GeininX would have to spruce up and search for his purple pig on his own. Hopefully the two females wouldn’t enter just yet. “Hold on a second. Let me do a little… Just stay out there for a little while,” GeininX calls as he turns in the direction of the doorway slightly.

He turns back around and stares at everything with a sigh. He sets to work as Randal hides in the scraps and plays with the doll. “You two really don’t talk much, do you? I understand how someone special like me can make you wary to speak to me, but you can. Don’t you two have any questions for me while you’re here? I have no doubt that I can easily answer them.” The sound of shattering glass is heard before aloud sparking noise is heard. GeininX’s groan is heard before the sound of glass scraping against concrete is heard. Was he sweeping? “Hey! Fumoffu! You in here, old friend? I hope he didn’t starve or something from me bringing him here last time.” More scraping is heard before it grows quiet and scraping metal is heard.

The pair of visitors to this strange land paused before actually entering the chunk of enormous building, at GeininX's request to wait a little. Was he tidying up to avoid making a bad impression? Looking at the area surrounding the building, that seemed a bit unlikely, it was rather too late for that. Not that the condition of the place was of any real importance, so it didn't make a huge difference either way. When his voice sounded again, commenting that the two were pretty quiet, and they could feel free to ask him any questions they might have, silence was his first reply.

Eventually, though, Kawari spoke up. Her voice sounded a bit more artificial than it had the few times she had spoken before. "Query. Location status is unconfirmed, clarification as to coordinates is requested. Query, vernacular. Where are we?" She was still acting like she was preparing for an attack, eyes scanning her surroundings in a slow and steady circuit, shifting slowly from foot to foot as she turned to avoid leaving a blind spot in any given direction. She didn't yet know it, but it seemed that, somewhere in the interconnections between this 'World' and her own mechanic-based construction, there were a few software hiccups. Or rather, her basic algorithms had been tweaked, leaving her on edge. So far the glitches were only minor, but if it went too long without her noticing and taking proper measures, it would be difficult indeed to gauge what the final result might be.

Noze looked into the building, it was too dark to make out more details than mere shadows. But GeininX had told them to wait, so that would have to wait as well. When he had commented that they weren't talking very much, she considered replying. Before she had put her words in order, though, Kawari had taken the initiative. Odd, though, she sounded a bit different than usual. More mechanical. Beyond that, though, it was a question she wanted to know the answer to as well. "Yeah, I'll ask that as well. Just where are we? I don't really recognize any of this. What Nation are we allied with, what village is this?" It seemed she was at least getting closer to the truth, though in a rather roundabout way. Eventually she would figure it out, surely. In the meantime she waited for GeininX to answer, while she poked around outside a little more. There was all manner of stuff piled up, not just scrap metal. It was very possible that there would be something of use buried amidst all the detritus. She was in no great hurry to check, though, instead she'd just wait to find out just where she was. Any further plans would be dependent on that fact, so there was little worth in making any concrete plans now, was there?

User Image “…” Mamichi just stared at the child… stared blankly… she was familiar… and then it dawned on her she’d seen her at the Halloween party in that bizarre town through that odd portal, “Hey! I know you! You were at the Halloween party!” Mamichi said delighted and started to circle the person rapidly, unlike Hedoro, Mamichi was capable of humanoid sight while in the form she was in, she didn’t exactly have eyes but then again she did after all the Maliae had no organs to speak of, But Mamichi was something of a mutant among her kind with several… eccentricities. Much like her preference to dead things to living though living with Hedoro had warmed her to the idea of living prey, this girl was human… but she had seen Mamichi before so she would let her live, Mamichi had grown a taste for a rather different kind of food recently, not even living things, metal and wood mystified her palate now, items as it were. And so Mamichi stopped and turned to look at this girl she seemed to be a bit off just as she had been back at the party, a little wobbly as she stood there twitching a bit… Mamichi puddled herself suddenly turning into a thin layer of liquid and just spreading out, it was odd how easily one of their kind of disappear. Just as simple as letting go and relaxing, Mamichi’s head popped put to look at the girl, well if you see her she’ll eat you… but be sure to say that Mamichi says the game is done and that it was a tie game, 6 to 6 as it were perhaps should have designated an extra person to kill make victory a definite unless of course they kill themselves off.”

Hedoro didn't immediately reply at Mamichi's exclamation, as disappointment struck her. Was this then the finely-honed instincts of her progeny? To have a human right in front of them, and not attack when there was perceived weakness? She couldn't control this odd fleshy body very well, and she knew that the way she was moving it showed that there was something seriously wrong with her. That should have served as an ideal signal to Mamichi that this human was weak. Yet, she hadn't attacked? Odd, maybe she was biding her time, waiting for the right moment. No, an ambush couldn't be done in plain sight like this. She'd already attacked other humans, even as recently as a few moments ago. So there had to be something else stopping her.

She didn't want to consider it, but maybe it was the truth. Maybe Mamichi was just weak, soft against humans who hadn't become an obvious threat. If that was the case... Well, she'd take it upon herself to make her see the light. But first, one more chance. Maybe if she were to escalate things a little, make it clear that this unknown human was not an ally? She still didn't quite have the hang of speaking as a human, but little by little she was learning how.

"Wade, yoo arr won ov those Malley-uhs, urnt yoo? Eye herd ewe all wore bad and eevle and stuff. Like dat won dat started all teh trubble, an tri'd to eet every-won. Wut was hur naim? That stoopid won?"

Her reply had been laborious, and was on par with how a drunkard might have speaked, all slurred words and mangled pronunciations. She still had quite a way to go before she could adequately pose as a human. But for the time being, perhaps that would be enough to incite Mamichi to action, to help show her that humans were the enemy, and no quarter would be given them.
