Perhaps it would of been better to find a doctor then a inn, as poke had hoped on doing. As she sat on the hourse and hoped to be at the next town soon she could see shun was deteriating quite rappily.
This couldn't be right. He had only been bittten on his shoulder. He wouldn't recovered by now if it was blood loss. She was no doctor but, she started to suspect those monsters held something more then just a painful bite..
She pondered taking the reighs from him and leading the horse into town, but she had never ridden a horse before now. It didn't look to hard, judging from what shun always did...
"Hey, keep it together... it's almost nighttime so we should be able to see the town soon..." poke said eventually

As suspected, the town's lights were soon seen up ahead. Shun wondered though if they should have stopped awhile back to rest instead of pushing on as they did. But it was too late for that decision anyway. Even though he hadn't exactly done much that was physically exerting, he could feel his heart racing a little.
Once in town, he stopped at the inn's stable for the horse. Upon dismount, he took a moment to make sure he wasn't going to be off balance before letting the stable boy take care of the steed.
With the small sack that had the first aid stuff in hand, he turned somewhat towards Poke.
"You're free to do whatever... I need rest.." he said before slowly making his way to the inn's entrance. As he did, he placed a hand over the injured location. It felt rather hot and swollen, making him wonder if it was infected. It'd explain a few things, if that were the case.

Poke was very glad to be in a town, jumping off the horse and sighing in relief. This was short, as she listened to shuns commands. She could tell exactly whats happening.
"No..what you need is a doctor" Before she went into the inn though, she walked past the stable boy and grabbed one of the spare cloaks that was with the luggage they carried. She threw it over herself and then hurried into the bar and towards the bar. She hoped he wouldn't take much notice of the cloak, but she had no idea how people woudl react to her fin ears and furry tail. She had enough experience to know to keep her identicy concealed when possible.
"Excuse me..." she asked softly to any bartender that was there. "does anyone know where I could find a doctor in this town?"

Shun shot a glance at Poke as she responded, grimacing a bit. Murmuring to himself, he just continued on inside and moved towards the innkeep to get himself a room.
Looking up, the bartender saw the girl asking for a doctor, then thought about the directions for a short while. Then, nodding he looked out the window somewhat and replied.
"Indeed I do missy. There be one a few houses away from here. Just head out the inn and keep going right. The doctor's office is gonna be on the left side o'the street," he said with a pause, "Now, can I get ya something to drink?"

"Umm, not at the moment, I need to take someone to the doctor.." Taking her excuse she walked away, and towards shun
"out of the in, to the right, it's a few houses down on the left" she replied, and hoping he'd take the cue, walk outside in order to wait for him to keep following. She wasn't in any mood to force him to go, and her niceness was only going to go so far (she was sitll quite aware of what he was going to do to her friends)

After receiving his room key, Shun stared at Poke as she spoke a few directions and walked outside. With a sigh, he went on out the door to catch up with her. Once out there, he groaned a bit and leaned against the wall of the building. He supposed that he should see a doctor, but he'd rather go lie down personally.
"I really don't understand you..." he muttered, "I realize I'm being used as a means to reach your friends, but still."

"Calm down " she simply said, and started walking towards the doctors house. "If you think I'm about to stand by your bedside and nurse you back to health, you got another thing coming." Once reading the doctors house she lead him inside, looking about for any sign of the doctor.

"Feh. I would be more likely to expect the complete opposite. Just as I would have expected you to have completely run off back at the previous town."
Shaking his head to himself, he let out a sigh and followed Poke to the designated building. Once there, he looked around some and didn't spy anyone initially. But after a few moments, a voice called out to them.
"Ah! Welcome! Is there something I can help you with?" said a woman as she stepped out from a different room.

sighing, poke turned around to face him. "Look. If I let you die, then that stupid, insane, pain in the a** and Ineedtobeattheshitoutofhim doctor will send another person to attack my friends. One whom I'm sure will most likey be warned about me and take me back there first. 2nd. I cant run away because I'm sure your a better tracker then me, so you'll find my friends first before I will, and I'll end up looking for them when you're already captured them." She paused. "Are you happy that I still have an alterior motive to your good health?"
Turning back once she heard the women, she smilied. "Yes there is actually. Me and my associate here were attacked in a previous town, and he was bitten by....umm..well something nasty. and I think he's been poisioned by whatever bit him. Or at least infected. Do you have anything that could treat him?"

"No. Not quite. Because I still wonder just exactly how you're going to handle things once we reach your friends. As far as I could tell, you aren't the type to try to intentionally kill another," he said, "But I guess that's more curiosity than concern."
For a moment, the doctor raised an eyebrow at the initial explanation. She had heard a few things about the nearest town so it made her wonder what happened to these two exactly. After Poke had finished speaking, she glanced at the bandaged arm of the man before her before nodding.
"If it's an infection, it should be no issue. Venom.. that'll be a little tricker if that was the case, but I'll need to inspect the wound first, follow me please."
With that said she went over into the next room. Shun, figuring that he may as well since he was already here, went ahead and followed her in.

Once the lady had went into the other oom, poke answered his latest question. "Your right, I don't spend my time killing people. But as for what will happen then, I'm just going to worry about that when it happens"
Letting shun enter the other room first, she followed and leaned on the door to see what would happen, as well as find out some information. "I don't suppose.....you have had a influx of people being bitten by strange monsters?"

Taking Shun's arm, the doctor began to unwrap the bandages before glancing back at Poke.
"Somewhat... there have also been some recent tales of strange creatures in the nearest town. Ones that cannot die. The patients I've looked at though who been bitten have only been infected pretty badly. My guess is that those monsters are ridden with bacteria or something..."
Once the wound was revealed, some pus could be seen around the bite-like cuts.
"This one is definitely infected for sure... "she said before going to rummage around for the disinfectants.

"All we were doing was traveling, and when we stopped in the town they suddenly attacked us for no reason. We were lucky to get out alive." It was some relief that there was no venom involved, as there would be no assurance they could get a antidote. "I was thinking you might know more about them, like what they were and why there was so many."
Looking at the wound itself made poke want to gag, so she looked the other way. "How long will it take before the infection is gone?"

With the anticeptic in hand the doctor dabbed it onto a cloth. Once it was prepared, she paused a bit while hovering it over the wound.
"This will sting a bit," she warned before moving on to clean the bite marks. And yes it did sting quite a bit. Once she started, Shun gritted his teeth and tensed up some as a result.
While she worked, she glanced back at Poke and thought about the answer some.
"I don't know much about them. Rumors say that they just appeared one day. I haven't seen one in person but some have described them as being the walking dead. I dont' know if this is true though. As for the infection, getting it cleaned won't take much longer. But you'll need to be careful and make sure it doesn't get reinfected. I would suggest taking it easy over the next day or two."

"the walking dead huh...." poke mumbled this, watching them some more. Once she was told how long it willt ake, she shrugged and headed for the door.
"you'll be fine once you're been cleaned up, right shun? so i don't need to hang around. I'll meet you back at the inn, I'm going to go get something to eat"
Walking outside and back down the road, poke headed towards the inn again. She had a few coins on her (they were from the horses luggage, so they were proably shuns, but she wasn't saying anything). enough to pay for a meal.
Once inside, she walked back to the bar again and waited till the bartender was free again. "I had to go take my friend to the doctors if you hadn't guessed, but now I'll have whatever drink you got, so long as it doesn't have alcochol, and whatever else I can afford as a meal" She placed the coins in front of her. Okay, now for info-finding! "I don't suppose you know anything about the latest happenings in nao?"
