Sil gave the young man a curious look, as if what he said had puzzled her. The feeling inside of her didn't match her face, however; dread, since that was the second time someone had said something like that to them today. Were they that obvious? Perhaps people had always made these assumptions and she hadn't noticed as much until the assumptions turned out to be reality that wasn't meant to be known. "Oh," she said, as if she finally got what he meant, then laughed a little. "You must be new here if that was your first assumption!"
She started to continue on their journey trying to push back the familiar guilt she felt when lying. Her step slowed though, falling back a little bit to make sure she kept pace with Soma. "So tell me Soma, what do you do at the Order? Just a paper pusher?"
((Alright, time for bed. xD If you guys continue she'll just... fall in the background. >_>;; Lol.

Soma noted the girl's positioning. Were he going to make a run for it, this would be inconvenient. He addressed her statement.
"I fear I have insulted you. My apologies. I meant nothing by it. I simply didn't not want to encroach on whatever business you were to attend to," he lied
He took a couple obvious deep breaths and then continued.
"At the order? Well I thought I would shoot for a smaller work load and get out of the usual environment for a little. But it seems you have your hands full here, so that's out of the question for me."
The labored breathing was visibly taking its toll. He tugged open his collar slightly with a free finger. Following that, Soma instinctively pressed the files to his chest in an attempt to hold himself up. What could be seen of his palms had reddened. His posture slumped.

Lavi led the way, hands in his pockets, the book tucked under an arm. He looked down at his feet for a bit, noting his walking had become more steady after Franzie had healed his leg. He listened to their conversation, looking over his shoulder at them with a hurt frown as Soma seemed to think his insinuation of them being together had insulted her. At least he had easily accepted their denial. He tried not to sigh too audibly at the way people were being rather observant lately. He didn't think they were acting much differently in public than they had been for years. Maybe it was something only they couldn't see.
The frown was replaced with a worried look when he noticed the difficulty in breathing Soma seemed to be having. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked, stopping in his tracks and turning around to face them. "You don't look so good..."

(( OMG JOHN YOU STAYED UP UNTIL ALMOST 6:00 a.m.!? GODDAMN. That's even more insane than me....I don't think I've stayed up THAT late...I think 5:00 a.m. is my record... ( for guild/talking to Sil I mean ) ))

Soma's head hung a little lower and wasn't able to raise it. He saw a window and stumbled towards it. "I'm fine...I'm fine. It's time to quit is all. Those things will kill you one day..." he gasped, referencing cigarettes. "I think I just need some fresh air." He opened the window and tried to inhale deeply but was too weak to do so. His shoulder leaned into the window frame before he slowly collapsed to the floor in a heap of himself. The guest was on the verge of consciousness. ...I hope I got this right... was his only thought
