I'm afraid that's not how it works, Christopher. You initiated talks with ME. You want them on a professional level. That means you have to lay your cards on the table before I discuss any sort of concessions. I have to know what your intentions before I can judge whether or not it's even within legal bounds for me to initiate anything.

Sure. I wanted to ask you to lay off Gallant Girl so she'll stop sobbing on my shoulder and exploiting my well-known weakness for pretty girls in distress.
But you want to do things in an official legal capacity. Which means, when you told me to sit down, I'm here as Gallant Girl's official representation. You've already told me in so many words that any formal request I submit in this capacity will be turned down. Which means that it now your turn to initiate the next stage of talks.
You can't always be reactive, Christopher. Now is the time for you to carp the diem and let us know how we should react next.

Hm? I'm not her official legal counsul. She has her own. They want to outright sue you. She asked me to try first to see if such a mess could be avoided. I am allowed to give legal advice and assistance pro bono as I see fit. You can read all about my many charitable contributions on the plaque on the wall behind my desk in my office.
You should also read the contract regarding our legal relationship. It states, like all of mine do, that I defend "who I want to when I feel like it."
Now, it's nice to see that, rather then just SAY what you want to do, you'd rather hide behind some shaky legalese and try to pull rank on me, but I was really rather hoping you'd just say "Dude, I'm not even gonna do anything but ignore her, tell her she has nothing to worry about" so I could go back to the important things and she'd stop sobbing on my nice coat. Wouldn't that have been so much easier? Does everything have to become a massive vendetta?
