"If that's the way it is with Malvolence then this person must be really good at keeping themselves hidden." Well what else could it be? Something was off here and no one in the house knew how to find it out. Though he gave a nod about Sevilin as he leaned back in his seat. "That is true, Sevilin is really good at what he knows best. I haven't heard of anyone who is up to par with him." So it was back to one of the main questions of who? Who could really sneak around Malvolence and Sevilin's runes.
"Yup, though why the hell out of all this time would they want to start pestering you now? Maybe whatever is going on is multi-layered, the puzzles just don't seem to fit yet." Though he met the drows eyes for a moment as the elf had no problems saying that this all may turn ugly some day. It worried him a little bit but when the time comes they could probably deal with it the best they can. "Well I am happy to see Malikhai going to school, he needs to start being with other kids and his friends that he has now. Not that I mean what you gave him isn't good enough already but this would certain help him get out more."
A blink at the mention of the elf they have come to meet at the tournament. "Really? Well I was thinking he would of stayed, the boy has got talent. Though as for Kaelin well either it may be her parents or she could just be busy as well. Though I don't think it's you, the two of them just need to be together more. I think she'll be good for him really, he needs to be around women his age."

Zykariel rolled his eyes and chuckled then slung his arm around his best friend's shoulder. "You mean to tell me she was right there and you didn't move on it?" He groaned, "I knew better than to let you handle such delicate matters yourself." Shaking his head, "You haven't contacted her at all? And don't you tell me you don't know how. I would have delivered a message for you and you damn well know it."
Faate and Lyssie engaged in a silent battle behind their father's back for the remainder of the walk home which ended because Lyssie wouldn't stop sticking her tongue out and Faate just got tired of fighting with her. She locked her sister out of the bathroom they shared easily enough and made her wait a decent amount of time to have her own turn. Turnabout was fair play in the Inthara household.
Zahara was so relieved to see him, she very nearly thrust herself against him in greeting. Kel came first, however, and since he was sitting rather precariously on the counter, she never moved. Her eyes did close briefly and she leaned back into him slightly. "He's been crying since he got up an I don't know why...."
Hey wait, you came back for me? His tears died down slightly to more sniffle-sobbing and he reached his hands out towards his father, squirming to get off the counter. Coughing and choking from the massive amount of crying he'd done, he rubbed his little eyes and once again made insistent grabby hands. "Sh-ow."

He frowned lightly. "It got weird okay? Besides, I wasn't in the best condition to be trying to get any girls." Shaking his head lightly in his own frustration. "Well it doesn't seem like she's been asking about me either does it? You haven't said a word to me about her. And I frankly wanted to get better before anything else."
Sevilin pressed a kiss to his wife's shoulder, trying to soothe her and their son as well at the same time. "He's probably just having a bad day. Why don't you take it easy for a bit and I'll take care of him. And don't drink anymore, okay?" delicately shooing his wife some and taking hold of those grabby hands, picking the child up. "Show what? Hm?"
He was happily cradled against his mother now, his head tucked under his chin with a big grin on his face. Sure he enjoyed spending time with Keely, but he wanted mommy right now. Daddy felt all scratchy and Malikhai wasn't around to play with. So he'd happily cuddle with mommy.
She was used to carrying him around by this point and knew how to work around him. A look and nod to Malik and Galesen where they sat before she got her son something to snack on and a drink as well. "Anything pine down here lately?" A look between the both of them on that question.

Zykariel threw up his hands and took a step back. "No need to get so defensive. I didn't mean that you were inept just new at the whole girl thing and might need some help." Plopping down on the ground, he leaned back on his palms lazily and frowned, "Come to think of it, I haven't seen her. Then again, I haven't been paying much attention lately. We're going back over elementals. Again."
Kelligrin watched his mother go off to handle whatever it was she did while she wasn't in the same room as him and he turned his attentiont to his father. Sniffling once more, he rested his head on his father's shoulder and then looked at him. His little lips pulling into a pout, he smacked his father's cheek lightly then pouted. "Daddy left Kelli. Make Kelli cry."

Malik looked at his wife for a second like she'd lost her mind...glanced at Galesen, before shaking his head.
"No. not that I know of. I mean, to even grow pine you have to have a certain climate. one that even if we had sunlight down here we wouldn't have because you'd need certain altitudes and the like that aren't present in this area of the underfoot. where didi you get the idea we had pine down here?"

A blink as he heard another voice in the room, looking to Piper he gave her a light nod before he saw Malik's look and chuckled a little when he believed he realized the answer to the question. "I...don't think she is talking bout the tree Malik." A look back to Piper and he smiled lightly. "Not much going on down here really, just chatting, drinking just a little. How's things on your end Piper?"

He plopped down with his friend, the boys now closer into the property and thusly they were going to continue to be men and what not. For a moment he held a hand to his ribs...sometimes they were still a little sore. "Again? That's baby stuff. Why don't you just have your parents put you in the higher up classes? And Kaelin is probably hanging out with her friends. Liek you said, I probably screwed up anyway." Shrugging lightly before plopping back in the dirt. "I don't know how you do it."
He pat the child on his back as he more or less rather instantly calmed down. "So that's why you're upset. You couldn't have fun with mommy? You know I come back. Where we went it wasn't safe for you." Holding onto the child's hand so he didn't hit anymore. "When you're more mobile you can come, maybe a little bigger too. But you shouldn't be fussy for mommy."
Raise of an eyebrow at Galesen. "Why would I not be talking about the tree? What else smells like pine other than the tree itself?" Turning eyes to Malik at that look and she gave him one back as their youngest happily munched on a carrot. "That's what I thought. I could of sworn that I smelled it earlier when I was out with Serino." Shrugging lightly, "Maybe he went somewhere or I'm just having one of those moments again. Remember how I kept smelling maple sap for that one whole week?" A shake of her head before taking a seat, plopping Dhariss in her lap. "Me and trees....go figure."

Zykariel rolled his eyes. "If you're going to have that attitude you might as well just give up. It doesn't matter how many times you screw up, Khai. Women are funny like that. They just tell you how cute you are and pat you on the cheek or some other demeaning gesture adn everything's fine." Glancing up at the ceiling of the Underdark for a moment, he shrugged. "I'm in as high of classes as the school will let me go. I'm not old enough for the upper upper classes so it's a safety hazard to put me in them. Stupid, but true."
Sitting back up straight for a moment, he crossed his arms. 'Do you want to see her again? I can make that happen you know."
That really didn't thrill him but he watched his father with big, red, watery eyes and sniffled again. He was connecting thing in his mind slowly but surely and he when he reached his final conclusion, he acted on it. Jerking his hand away he started squirming and attempting to get out of his father's hold. "Down."

"Yes, I recall. but right now, I think that needs to be addressed. I'll see if I can find any source for your pine smell. By the way, we have some papers to put Malikhai in the public school. higher tier classes, but they need your signature. and have you heard anything about that Kaelin girl?"
before finishing off his drink and leaning back some.
"I have a select droag to monitor him. in fact, he's watching him now. but either way, I do think he needs the exposure. he seems to have self-image issues when it comes to elves his own age."

A blink as it seemed he totally didn't get what Piper meant, but a small shrug as he let it go. "Though it was one was of those questions that was suppose to make one think twice." Though another blink from him before he too raised an eyebrow. "Really? Pine? Down here? Huh now that is odd, well does it really mean anything?" This was the first time he heard of this. But it seemed that Malik had things taken care of with the mysterious pine smell, the man was always on top of things. "Well then him going to school will help him come out of that area and help him out in the long run." A small nod to the drow before he asked for a glass of water this time around. A look to Piper though. "Has any of those bandits come back again?"

He rolled his own eyes. "Excuse my lack of enthusiasm. It's just not all something I'm used to. I'm the one that stands back and counts the payoff while you get all the girls." Shaking his head. Funny was an understatement for girls."Sucky. I suppose long as you can pass your tests it doesn't matter." Sitting back up as his friend did, drawing up a knee and resting his elbow casually on it. "I wouldn't mind seeing her again. The question is does she want to see me?" Shaking his head lightly before a span of quiet. "What are you other guy friends like Zykariel?"
And now the child was going to be fussy. "Alright, alright." Setting the child down he sighed. "It's going to be one of those days isn't it Kelligrin?" SHaking his head lightly and taking to cleaning up the mess that Zahara left behind but also keeping an eye on his son. "You're probably just mentally worn or something."
"It's hard being different from all the other elves your age. Believe me, I know. And like it or not, Tier'dal are not common here. He's not even all tier'dal at that." Shaking her head lightly...she knew she didn't give that predisposition to her son but it was just because lack of exposure. Sure, the boy learning things at home was good because he could go as fast or slow as he needed...but that didn't account for social exposure. "Papers." Waiting for him to pass slide them over before a quick glance over and a signature. "Kaelin? No I haven't...not from that Pathtell boy you were interested in either. I'm sure it would be easy enough to find any of them though. Usually you know more about people around our family by now." Letting her attention drift back to Galesen. "Could mean a number of things, or nothing. I pick up on those kinds of scents easier. As for bandits....nothing for today which is a good thing. If the dealing with it isn't stressful enough, Ramoth is starting to give me that look...you know the, I will eat you look."

"Not really. I can take my time and tease the girls and the teacher can't really do anything about it." Smirking then and shrugging. "I can't answer that because I don't know. But I can get you two together and let things go from there. Only if you want, of course." He frowned at his friend for a moment, taken quite off guard by the strange question. "I don't really have any...there's guys I sit with in school at random times and sometimes those guys come to me for help with their girlfriends and whatnot. They're like me, I guess. And you." Suddenly it hit him. "Are you afraid you're not normal, Malikhai?"
He was a little confused since every time his father set him down in the past he'd make him stand on his boots for a minute. Of course he wasn't wearing boots right now but it would still work. Crawling over to his playpen, he grasped the handlebars and used them to pull himself up, then slowly turned. "See? I go." Thus concentrating he took one toddling step and then another and then another.

"Why not, third times the charm right? And well three times is a good number of tries for anything." Shrugging lightly...then looking a little put off by his friend's new question now. He frowned for a moment as if processing his answer. "Well not exactly that. I was just wondering if your other friends or guys you hang out with are just different. Like you know do you act different with them or anything." He knew he wasn't 'normal' by underdark standards and that didn't really bother him...except maybe until girls came into the equation. One of those shrug it off moves, "Just asking things. Mom and dad had been talking about letting me go to your school like I had asked. I dunno."
He turned his attention to his son again, whom he expected to be crawling away to who knew where the child thought he was going. But a blink when he did look...and the child was standing...and then walking. "You do go." Crouching down to the child's level and holding out a hand to entince him all the way across the kitchen with an encouraging smile. "Sweetheart, come here!" Because this would make her feel better if anything.

"Yes, she is stressed. personally, I think she'd love for me just to put on her old neriak battle armor, and let her loose to go tear them up as she finds them. I'll soothe her. she knows that your doing everything in your power. she's just overly protective of her extended herd."
though a nod.
"It can be. which is why it's probably good that he go at least for some time. get some social experience that isn't in a bad way from conflicts."
stacking the papers neatly and folding them up, before handing them off to be delivered by whatever means that were required.

"That is a humanistic saying that has proven true more times than I can possibly admit. I don't think the first two times went that bad, though, did they? Seemed you two were getting along relatively well to me. Of cours Kaelin was a little put off by your family but that's pretty natural. Some of the drow in my school are put off mine too." He went quiet as he considered what his friend was asking and shook his head. "I don't tell them a lot of things that I tell you. You're more like a brother to me than a friend and we have a lot of history that factors into that." Blowing his bangs out of his face for a moment.
"Mostly they tell me things and I give my response based on what they've said but I really don't get too personal. You have to be careful who you trust, even with the new 'non-traditional' system in place. Anything you say can be used against you at anytime." And that was the reason no one knew he was still a virgin...though he had a feeling his father suspected. "Really? But you just aren't sure still. I think it'd be good for you. Put you in a gaggle of your own peers. Besides, I always have your back and I won't let anyone do anything to you."
Zahara had finally solved the fight between the girls and she frowned as she was hollered for. At least the bonds had quieted quite a bit as her son had calmed. Of course he wanted his father...she should have known. Heading down the stairs, she skidded to a stop in the kitchen and frowned, "What is the mat-" Traling off as she watched her son take his second and third steps and continue trying to cross the floor. That did make her very happy inside. "I told you he'd walk when he was ready. Good job, Kelligrin!" Praise was key, she'd learned that early early on.
Kelligrin gave a happy clap of his hands at his father's enjoyment of the event and wavered for a moment as he nearly lost his balance. Mommy in the picture only made it all the better and he toddled over and grasped his father's hand. "Go!"
