The panic washing over her was gently negated as their fingers entwined. It might have been a small gesture, but it reminded her; even though she felt alone in her worries and fears she had someone there whom she was allowed to share the burden with. Sil's thumb ghosted gently along the curve of his fingers in a careful caress, providing as much comfort as she could with so little. "I wish that were true, but had the higher ups gotten word of her prior allegiances... well..."
She glanced at the compass, or at least where it was hidden beneath Lavi's shirt, pensively. "I... just wonder... if we don't hear from her soon, if I can heal up... Maybe the only thing to do is... do what she did for us... and go after her," her lips pressed together tightly, stomach knotting at the idea of being in that mansion for any reason what-so-ever. "I keep thinking, what if that compass was her only means to get back here...? She can't be the only one that takes a risk, and if I can be smart about it... then... Well, maybe it isn't too late to do something for her..."

Lavi bit his lip a little as he considered that idea, not having planned to be back in the Noah Mansion any time soon, but Sil had a point. If Liv was in trouble, like she had been, why shouldn't they save her, too? He noted her use of 'I' and he protectively held a hand over the compass again, as if she was going to snatch it away from him any moment. "You're not going in there alone, though..." He narrowed his eyes a little, knowing this is probably exactly what she wanted, "I know more about the Mansion than anyone here right now, I think..." Although he hadn't seen the entire Mansion, he'd made a mental map of the part he'd been through on his search for Sil. He thought about Luci. Maybe she could help them, again.

"It's not that I want to go in there alone," she sighed a little through her nose as his hand went to protect her only key into the mysterious mansion. She had difficulty explaining from there-- asking someone else to risk their lives was a difficult request, especially when she knew many people would take it. "I won't go back there, not right now... it would be suicide to go in there without a plan. Not the normal Order plans, either. You know, flash your badge around like it's a giant, red Akuma target and level half a city block," she managed to smile a little bit then, squeezing his hand gently. "We'll think on it... Even if we wanted to, neither of us are in the shape to do anything for her right now... I just hope her connection with Tyki is keeping her safe." A rather unpleasant, involuntary shiver raced through her imagining Liv going through anything like what she had been put through by Lulubell...

"Yeah, you're right..." He nodded, his hand falling back on his lap again, glad she wasn't protesting his wanting to come along, if they were going to do this. Again, she had a point. If they wanted to come back out alive again they were going to have to plan it through a little better than how he'd just been thrown into the deep. He'd gotten very lucky, he could've come across a Noah right from the start and with his injuries and he wasn't sure he would've survived that. All they could really do was hope they'd still have someone to save if they go through with it.
"I just feel useless lying around here..." He grumbled, making stabbing motions at his left leg. "Heal, you b*****d!"

She couldn't help but laugh, finding the motion comical considering his situation. It always surprised her how easily Lavi could lighten her heart, and not for the first nor the last time Sil was deeply appreciative of his talent. "I'm not sure that'll help any... Maybe instead of swearing sing it love songs or compliment it. I'm sure it'll be more cooperative then," it was then that she untangled her fingers from his, lifting her index and middle fingers to her lips for a little kiss, which she soon bestowed very gently upon the bandaging wrapped around his leg. "Now they're bound to heal twice as fast, you'll see..."
Her gaze moved past him, noting the lack of light outside of the window and she let out a hesitant breath. "Me keeping you awake won't help either... You should get some more rest. I'll be back first thing in the morning, though... I promise." Sil was wishing now that she hadn't been so hasty to gain her freedom, since she would have much rather been near to him even if it meant another night without much sleep.

He smiled softly at her finger-kiss, wishing she could give him a real one, as well. Stupid infirmary filled with people. Another reason why he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. "It feels better already." He laughed a little, stroking his leg lovingly. "Heaaal, nice leg."
"Yeah, alright..." Her mentioning rest made him yawn a little, having forgotten how tired he was when they'd been talking. "You fought so hard to free yourself, though, you should make use of that, y'know." He didn't really want her to stay away, but she didn't have to waste her time in the infirmary for his sake. He had a sudden thought. "Oh, could you do one thing for me?" He grinned a little, holding a hand to his mouth conspiratorially. "I'm getting sick of all this water, could you sneak me in some Triple S cocoa tomorrow? ...Maybe without the alcohol, though."

"Yeah, alright... I suppose I can spoil you this once," she made it sound like an inconvenience, though the smile playing on her lips blatantly said otherwise. The idea of smiling had become foreign over the last few days, but all the sudden everything about it was natural and Sil truly enjoyed that small moment that felt almost normal. "I can't have you thinking you're special, or something."
Just as she started to shift her weight, to lift herself out of the chair, she paused for a moment and let her eyes traverse the nearby surroundings. After noting that none of the staff were in too close of proximity, she lifted her uninjured hand to her lips, cupping them from the view of any prying eyes. Her brown eyes softened, her lips forming three short words that not even he would hear, but the meaning was clear: I love you. They may not have been able to touch openly, but Sil wanted to remind him of that inalienable truth.
A shy smile quirked her lips and she got up quickly after that, turning once more to give him a much more audible wish of good rest: "Sleep well, and think of something nice before hand," and with a final coy lip bite she limped out into the cold, drafty cooridoors.

"Not special? What a way to treat the guy who saved your life." He threw his hands in the air dramatically, with a mock pout. What she did next made up for it, though. His stomach made a happy little cartwheel, he was still not really used to her saying that to him, or mouthing it, even. He didn't even try to get the goofy smile off his face and replace it with something a bit less ridiculous as he waved her goodbye. When she'd left the infirmary, he fluffed his pillow a little and laid it down on the bed instead of placing it back against the headboard where it had been so he could sit upright. He fell back down on the bed with a contented sigh and burrowed into his pillow, still smiling to himself, thinking of how only a few days ago he'd been so scared he'd never be able to hear her say that again. But everything was fine now, he hadn't lost her, and for the first time in a while he felt happy again.
He thought of something nice before he fell asleep.
